Lots of trees for shade. It can be a little noisy with happy toddlers splashing around in the morning. But that's not enough reason to come on out and enjoy a dip in the warm lake off the shore. I love this gym. I…read moreusually come here once or twice weekly to work out. The layout of the gym can be a bit confusing. There is an entrance into the building on the 4th and 5th floor however you must take the stairs or elevator down to the 1st floor to enter the gym itself. There are lots of temporary lockers (insert 25 cents) in the hallway on the way to the Change room. Be careful as some of the lockers are faulty. In the change rooms, there are also several day lockers (bring a lock) and lockers you can rent out. I find that during peak times at the gym, there are no available day lockers inside the change room. And the bottom of the lockers tend to be rusty. The staff and trainers are quite friendly. If you are new to the gym and aren't familiar with the equipment, you can make an appointment for a gym orientation! This helped me get acquainted with the equipment available and learn how to use them. They have a variety of drop in fitness classes for members. The Zumba class is fun but too packed and there is barely any room to move around. There are a variety of free weights, weight machines and cardio equipment. The equipment are all in good condition. The weight room on the third floor can be busy and you might need to wait to use a particular machine. I recommend coming here to work out!!

However, when I got to the top area of the park (ball field and parking area of botanical garden, I didn't feel safe. Suspicious activity at the ball park parking and dodgy people at the parking area to botanical garden. I got out there quickly with my guard up and headed down into the garden and enjoy some late blooming flowers. People with dogs were polite having them on leashes and under control. The lower section of the park is really nice.

They have a lot of equipment for a lot of people, but some of the staff can be very rude or pushy, especially different closing hours and some of the people at the gym can be disrespectful or very judgemental and especially during peak hours you sometimes we'll have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a machine overall it is a pretty good place to work out, but there are better options. Better people out there.
