I have straight…read moreMedicare but it still took four months to complete a referral from my primary, and that's only because I called them. First call = 24 minutes on hold before answering. First appointment one month out. I received calls and texts for four days warning me that if I was late or missed the appointment I would be charged an additional $150.00. I was told to go online and complete the per-appointment registration, which was 80% financial and 20% medical information. Day of appointment I arrived 45 minutes early, front desk folks were very polite and quick. The surgeon was right on time. He saw me for three minutes, 20-second exam fully clothed, and gave me a tentative diagnosis, but wanted a CT to be sure. He told me the CT had to be "approved", but I have straight Medicare, no secondary. No per-authorization needed. A week out, still waiting for the doc to order the CT (and crreatinine) . I called today (16 minutes on hold) and the doc will only be in one day, next week, and he will then be gone for two weeks.. I'm going to cal my primary doc and see if he will order the blood test and the CT. This thing hurts and I need to get back to work. Could the fact that I only have straight Medicare and no secondary coverage, meaning I will have to pay 20% out of pocket, and I'm on a fixed income because I can't work until I get the surgery, and probably won't be able to pay the full 20%, be a reason for the delay? Is that the "per-authorization" (aka; "wallet biopsy") he was talking about? Maybe, after having nearly $40.00 deducted from my paycheck every two weeks for the Medicare Tax, for my entire career, I should go to Canada to get timely health care?

There's a play room for the kids to hang out. It's made to look like a castle with dolls, books, dragons, drawing paper, crayons and wooden blocks. Dr. Ryan Israelsen was incredible with the kids, even the sibling who isn't being seen. Love his chair side manner. He is personable, kind and informative. I have total trust and faith in him. I have worked in the hospital and worked alongside doctors and trust me, these kind of doctors are rare to find and I'm so glad I found this doctor for my son. He educated us, answered our questions and we came up with a plan. Excellent, excellent doctor. On the way out, the staff all smiled and greeted us goodbye. The kids got lollipops. All were happy.

If you are like me, and suffer from allergies or smoke (due to wildfires) go see them you won't be disappointed. I was immediately given tests by two EXCELLENT technicians, one of him were a name badge: Ramirez. Fortunately in the ambulance, I was given both IV sailine and an EKG, which was fine. The sailine IV restored me and it's a darn good thing! After the text finished with me, I was put in the giant almost empty waiting room of the ER and told it would be somewhere of between 6 and 24 hours before I could see a "service provider", which I think may be double speak for a medical doctor!!! Yes, you read that right. I was brought in by ambulance and I was told I needed to sit upright in a wheelchair for as much as 24 hours. Now some of you know me. What do YOU think I said to that????????? I politely said, "I am going home and going to sleep. Sleep heals me. What I am NOT going to do is sit up in a wheelchair or lie on the ER floor (which did not look sparkling clean but maybe it was just old) for as many as 24 hours hoping that s-o-m-e-d-a-y maybe I'll be seen by a medical doctor." The corporate management of Asante is, in my humble opinion, moneygrubbers who do not give a darn about patients. They have a demonstrated track record of that via the various lawsuits and out of court settlements they have had to make. I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses and other staff who have to work there. I am glad for all of the patients that have gotten good care because of the kindness, compassion, as skill of the people who work in Asante, including the good doctors as certainly all of the RNs and other staff who actually do their best to help patients. I wish we would get a different medical group here in the Rogue Valley. In the meantime, my husband and I are primarily working with Provident had receiving very good treatment.

The bill was over $1000 but knowing she (and I) were paying out of pocket, gave us a grossly reduced rate as well as time to pay, if needed. That was nearly ten years ago... and his generosity has still not been forgotten.

My daughter is deaf and they just take so much time with her and are so kind. In addition to that the doctors are well trained and truly concerned with their patients. We came from California where unfortunately Medicine is much different. The doctors are always in a hurry not terribly patient usually and it's definitely a different experience. Have been treated like crap by some doctors and nurses here. I should have taken action and reported them. Because a few times I felt discriminated against. And was a teenager and didn't understand that as a patient I had rights. Also I thought I was pregnant but wasn't and had a unusual condition and felt like a freak show. The doctor as extremely rude and said some really nasty things and inconsiderate to how scared and anxious I was. Just a question, why don't they have dentists at hospitals. They really should because dental emergencies happen a lot and usually happen during time dentists are closed and it's extremely painful. And instead of treating you like you're faking things they could actually help you.

Didnt want to even try to figure out what the problem was. Cora Haze is the only one that stuck with it and worked day after day, month after month, year after year to figure out my issues. Using a patented technique called Lapiplasty, Dr. McClure was able to straighten out my foot bones so that my toes are now parallel and straight. People sometimes think bunions are from wearing high heels, but it is a hereditary conditions and caused my feet to hurt for over 30 years. Now, thanks to Dr. McClure, I will walk, hike, and dance!
