That's standard practice to show the patient the xrays. I was accused of having osteoporosis hence the reason the foot bone broke. There's no indication of osteoporosis nor testing. I was unhappy by the statement that "age" determines procedures when I am a highly active and physically competitive athlete. There was more but that's enough.

He contacted Dr. Code as soon as he got home and was told there was nothing wrong with him, and it was due to the surgery. He was told to go to the hospital if he felt he had to. He had a blood clot that had passed through his heart and nearly died. Dr. Code has lost a lot of business when I have shared the story of what happened to my husband with family and friends. I was told the treatment would be $500.00 and that if I didn't get results the treatments would continue. It was expensive for me, but I made an appointment. I saw the Doctor for about five (5) minutes. He did a very brief visual inspection of the toe nails and told me to schedule the procedure. He then told me I would purchase an anti-fungal liquid for $38 and a shoe sanitizer for over $100. For this appointment I was charged my $50 co-pay but my insurance was billed over $200. In order to schedule the laser treatment I had to prepay $250, and midway through the treatment schedule I was charged the balance of the $500. I never saw the Doctor again. There (3) laser treatments were performed by the office bookkeeper. She treated both feet. I asked why not perform six (6) treatment on the effected foot instead of wasting treatments on the healthy foot. She just reassured me that I would be scheduled for additional treatments if three (3) did not show improvement. At the end of three (3) treatments I was told that in order to continue the Doctor would need to see me, and I would be charged an additional office call, etc. Then I received a $250+ bill in the mail for the payments I had already made in the office. I called the office to dispute the billing, I was told my payment and their bill had crossed in the mail. NO! A payment made in the office at time of service and a bill mailed weeks later, did not "cross" in the mail. By this time, between my medical insurance and my checkbook well over $900 had been charged, and I still had nail fungus. The whole operation was shady and the relationship ended.

I was seeing Dr Chase Christensen with southern Oregon foot and ankle and he wanted me to see Dr Josh Millard with Medford Foot and ankle for an urgent partial amputation but because of the below issue from May 2023 they are refusing to see me. We are looking at an amputation and you won't see me, I am sorry all the way around this is absolutely horrific horrific care. By not seeing me and putting this off longer and longer imperial amputation is most likely going to become full amputation. Very very unprofessional and even more disheartening. In May of 2023, I checked in a half hour before my appointment and now I'm 15 minutes past my appointment time. But you have a sign that says if your five minutes or more late for your appointment it will be cancelled and rescheduled. This is absolute not okay. No communication either. And patients that have come in 10 or 15 minutes after me have been called So apparently they tell you to check in 30 minutes before your appointment but they don't say that when they tell you that you need to check in a half hour early. I checked in at 2:08pn with my paperwork out and then they come out to tell me my appointment is running at least 15 minutes behind. Not ok at all.

Questions about my bill were met with defensive posturing from the office accountant who informed that she didn't design the billing system so was not responsible for any screw ups (how dare I question anything in the first place!). The podiatrist seemed to just go through the motions. Selling the stupidly expensive orthotics seemed to be everyone's goal. Must be a good mark-up on those.,my cost was $470 just for the shoe inserts. All in all a bad experience. Try someone else first!
