(Never call any of these accident personal injury lawyers from a billboard people!! I cannot stress that enough.) They are not genuinely out to help people like us. The very fact that they are connected, in any way, with Bauman and this other shady business partner, Dr.Date, says A LOT. As many have said here, it was also my first time dealing with a Law Firm. The short story is that those guys somehow put me in touch with this joke of a Law Firm called Bauman. These people literally "bank" on the fact that a lot of us don't know what we're doing, which, was true in my case. Since they "work" ha! on a contingency basis , they know that the only business they're going to get will be from people who don't have the money to pay for a lawyer, upfront. So we are just easy targets for them to take advantage of. I had to spend so much time going back-and-forth with these people. It was exhausting. They caused me a lot more stress when they were the ones who were supposed to be helping me. I almost ended up hiring another Law Firm to deal with these people. Cynthia, was a complete $&!?@. She was disrespectful, throwing insults at me and interrupting me left and right. She told me that I should basically do her job if I wanted to find out what something meant. She was also the pre-litigation supervisor. She was the least professional person I dealt with. Shaun Bauman backed her up, blindly. He tried to turn it around and say that she's a great employee and she's been with the Law Firm for so many years and he knows her so well and that usually it goes both ways. Well get your head out of the sand, guy. She uses intimidation and manipulation tactics against her own clients. It was so ridiculous dealing with them. I even emailed them my curiosity about them if this was how they conducted business all the time or if it was just a one off case. From the other reviews here I can see that it wasn't just me. OK, blah blah blah. That is all.

He took the time to really listen to me, understand the complexity of my situation, and offer thoughtful guidance -- all without rushing or brushing me off, which I've unfortunately experienced with others. Even though his firm wasn't ultimately the one to take my case, Brent went above and beyond to review my materials and personally connect me with another attorney he trusted. That level of integrity and follow-through meant the world to me during an incredibly stressful time. If you're looking for someone who is not only sharp and experienced but also human and kind -- Brent is that person. I'll never forget the way he treated me, and I'd recommend him without hesitation. Thank you, Brent.

You know those viral internet videos of people slipping and falling that give you a hearty laugh?…read moreWell, allow me to let you in on a secret: it's not funny at all when you're the one doing the falling. On January 3, 2022 I had a nasty fall near the checkout area of a large, discount big-box retailer. I will redact the store name for NDA purposes but it's the one you love and not the one you tease. When trying to stand up; I fell again! I was immediately in pain, filed a store report and the next day - opted to visit a chiropractor/physical therapist to assess my bodily damage versus the emergency room and that is when the Law Offices of Gerald Marcus came into the picture. While at the physical therapist, the staff found multiple injuries to varying degrees and mentioned that I absolutely had to sue the store in order to have the medical costs covered. They have worked with Gerald Marcus before and gave them a call on my behalf. Gerald Marcus is a personal injury law firm so we're talking car accidents, slip and falls, work injuries, etc. Don't worry - they aren't one of those sketchy personal injury lawyers with cheesy jingles and corny billboards. They have won countless litigation and settled cases worth monetary amounts you can only dream of; plus have expert lawyers/staff that can handle these cases with their eyes closed. I knew I would be in good hands even though this would be my first experience with attempting to sue anyone let alone a billion-dollar enterprise. I initially received a call from Luis Garcia, the Attorney Investigator. Luis was super friendly and made me feel welcome into the Gerald Marcus family. He came to my apartment directly and arrived with my retainer/on-boarding paperwork. He was very reassuring and thoroughly explained the next steps that would take place. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from Gerald Marcus himself! The head honcho! The big kahoona! Although I was slightly intimidated; he too welcomed me and was very serious about the importance of my case and all the work they would do on my behalf. Being a super detail-oriented individual; I truly appreciated this. While in physical therapy, Gerald Marcus was working in the background to prepare for a settlement and if it came to it: a litigated case. I received phone calls from Matt Crayon every 5-6 weeks checking in on my medical status and asking if I needed anything/had any questions. I would have liked these calls to be a bit more frequent but I realize that being I was still in physical therapy; there wasn't anything monumental going on with my case, anyway. As time went on and I reached the end of my medical care; this is where the fun NCIS stuff came into play! Okay, not really, because this isn't TV plus not a criminal case. But, this was the point when court filings took place, contacts to the store's insurance company were made, forms were signed by me to prepare for a future deposition and I was assigned to lawyer Vincent (Vinnie) Consolo. Vinnie is a master at his craft and I knew he would take care of my interests. Plus, his picture is next to 'handsome' in the Webster Dictionary... he's a looker!  Wow! Sorry, let's return to more professionalism, shall we? Vinnie maintained communication through email and text and was flexible with deadlines. My only complaint was that there were times Vinnie seemed slightly annoyed/impatient with me or I didn't feel he was explaining things on my level. It felt like he expected me to already know the deal but I didn't - I've never done this before! Other than that, I absolutely recommend Vinnie. Expanding on that, one of the office assistants was also slightly unprofessional in her demeanor to me on the phone which I mentioned to Vinnie and he must have addressed this because she was very kind the next time we spoke. So again, my only qualm with Gerald Marcus is their slight habit of occasionally getting disagreeable and this is an area they should address. When all was said and done (my case was settled outside of court and yours truly would be getting a check!); I visited the office to grab my check and finally meet Vinnie in real life. The office building is beautiful: spotless, modern and with an adorable lobby area and this can also be said of the actual law office. Modern lines, airy -high ceilings, large windows with natural light, sports memorabilia lining the walls... this office was niiicccee! I met with Vinnie, met the main man Gerald Marcus, the rest of the staff, received a tour, talked about my case and honestly: felt like I wasn't just a client but also a friend! There was a lovely, personable element and I appreciate that being they take on hundreds and hundreds of cases at once (they even send out Christmas cards to clients!). I would absolutely recommend the Law Offices of Gerald Marcus for your personal injury needs and would give them a call myself if I suffer from another fall. Thanks Luis, Matt, Mr. Marcus and of course: Vinnie.

Ticket was $500. Ticket Ninja said I had a good chance to win so I went forward. They sent me lots of info about how to handle the case and were responsive the whole way. I felt confident, but ultimately lost the written trial by declaration. TN has a guarantee, but to get it you have to continue the process to a new trial which I didn't mind doing. I went to trial de novo. To do this you have to go to court and schedule a date. TN sent me a lot of info before the court date with how things would go which gave me confidence. On my court date, I didn't have a cop going against me, it was just the goons from Culver City admin. They tried to pressure me into guilty plea ("to get traffic school for sure instead of risking it") but I held my ground thanks to the info TN gave me. I went to trial before the judge, who warned us that now that we chose to go to trial that traffic school is up to his discretion. After CC goons presented evidence, I read out loud the statement TN gave me. Unfortunately the judge ruled against me -- the argument was that you can't prove its me because the pic is grainy and sunglasses, but the judge just said "I think that's you, guilty." Then he offered me traffic school which I accepted. I got my memo from the court, sent it to TN, and got my refund within a week or two. Ultimately I didn't lose anything using TN but did learn a lot about the traffic court process. I give a 3/5 since I lost my case, but I still believe I received very good service from them and would consider using them in the future. Fun fact: My traffic judge was James Hahn, former mayor of LA. I heard he is kind of a hardass on traffic tickets so I guess that's just my luck.
