Poor service, poor food quality. Not impressed at all…read more Ambience is nice, very spacious, newly built, restaurant. Friendly staff. Not very attentive at all. Say for 15 minutes before the manager had to obtain a server for our table. After the food was delivered, the server did not provide adequate service. I requested a water refill, which took an additional 15 minutes, because she continually forgot. Food quality wasn't the greatest. They served chicken, which consisted of 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks. Along with friend catfish filets, that had been way over salted. Both were very soggy. I ate half the thigh and quit. Veggies? Only vegetables were Lima beans, everything else considered vegetables, was a casserole. A table full of starches. Over rated and over priced. Sadly disappointed. If you want good southern food, go further south to Thomasville, GA. Go to O'Neals. You can fool some folks, but not someone that knows southern cooking. We won't return.

The new Temu version sucks. So incredibly devastated and disappointed!! You should probably change…read morethe name along with all the other changes because this is NOT the Dillard House. As a local, I have gone to the Dillard House my whole life and it has always been one of my most treasured spots but sadly it will never be the same again. I visited for the first time since bought out by some Atlanta conglomerate called Legacy Ventures and boy did they just take the character and soul completely out of this place to make a buck. All of my childhood memories and the charm of the south, replaced with some generic millennial grey design bullshit and shitty recipes. Was the old place fancy and swanky? Absolutely not, but here in the country we like our charm like grandma's tried and true biscuit recipe: Not pretty but dang does it taste good. Thank God they kept the family style menu, but boy was the food NOTHING to write home about. I can't say that anything tasted as good as it used to. It was all cold and overcooked and certainly not prepared by someone from the south that knows what they're doing. The cured salty country ham that made your mouth water...bland and uncured. Missing some of the best staples the menu offered. Completely ripped out the country store and gift shop. I didn't want to believe the other locals when they told me what had happened, but now that I've experienced it, I'm not sure I can continue to support this place. They have replaced the kids from Rabun Gap that always worked there with people who are clearly not familiar with the place nor how to show Southern hospitality. I always admired the fact that they gave jobs to kids to learn how to serve the community and make a little money. Every kid should have that experience for character growth. I thought for sure I'd be able to bring my children here one day to experience the same nostalgia that is seared into my mind and heart, but sadly that will never happen now. Can we PLEASE stop selling out our cherished local spots to people who clearly don't know anything about the area or care to honor it? Let's keep the country the country and you city folk can do whatever you want there. It's also very clear that nothing is being done to improve these conditions with the onslaught of negative reviews from lifelong customers online. You may fool new customers that don't know what they're missing, but the lack of traffic on a Sunday proves the point that you aren't making changes to "honor the past experience and care about the feedback." Word of mouth travels fast.

Stopped by Arnold's of Seneca for the first time last night and used the drive-through. The…read moreservice was the highlight of the visit. The employee at the window couldn't have been nicer, very friendly, helpful, and even offered me a menu to keep for future visits. Truly excellent customer service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (lettuce and tomato only (no premium topping options available), along with onion rings and coleslaw. The total came to $13.08 before tip, which is a great price and initially set expectations fairly high. The wait time was reasonable, but when I received the bag it felt surprisingly light. Once home, the portion sizes were underwhelming. The onion rings were moderate, the coleslaw was about an ice-cream-scoop portion, and the grilled chicken sandwich consisted of a very small piece of chicken with one slice of lettuce and a thin slice of tomato on a plain white bun. For context, I weighed the chicken portion and it came in at 2.68 ounces, which is noticeably smaller than expected for a sandwich. Food quality was basic. The coleslaw appeared pre-packaged and was quite watery, and the onion rings seemed mass-produced rather than freshly battered. The chicken itself could have used more seasoning and a more substantial portion. Even a slightly upgraded bun would have helped. I'm giving this two stars instead of three because while the service was outstanding and the pricing is attractive, this is a restaurant first and foremost, and the food quality and portions didn't meet expectations. I'm not trying to bash ownership; a small increase in price to allow for better ingredients and slightly larger portions could make a big difference.

Mostly their chicken sandwich and fries in the form of take out/pick up. Royston Drive-In has been my replacer for hometown easy to grab chicken sandwich fixes for awhile now since getting burned a little by another local eatery in terms of.. well, their chicken. No puns intended. No one was burned by a chicken sandwich. Anyways, Royston Drive-In has been consistently good. Why I'd like to give them credit where it's due. Plus, they're also one of the places outside of the regular fast food stops that are generally open and in the area. Royston is infamously hard to figure out sometimes when and what is open. Monday is the new Sunday is all I got. As for that Chicken Sandwich. Keep up the good work. I know it's about the same as fast food, but it works and I'm happy with it.

Our family has eaten here for so many years that we cant even remember how long it been. However…read moreover the last few years we have watched this staple of Royston go downhill very badly. We have had to returned orders while in dine in, called about incorrect or low quality orders when we get home, I have even more recently begun or had family begin checking orders before we leave. Tonight I sent someone unaware of the issues to pick up our order. The double with bacon burger that I ordered and paid extra for was a single w/o bacon, my tater tots were instead fries, and they forgot our two orders of cole slaw. I called and after getting unthoughtout excuses from a young lady I then spoke to the owner Lee who just acted like an disinterested, dismissive and disrespectful prick, I normally would have taken up for Lee but his behavior was inexcusable I told him if that's how he chooses to act he's lost a few customers...he never asked who he was speaking to and dont think he knew so his responce was....and....I dont care...I guess we wont be seeing you again....I would say he had a bad day but his unwilling to right the issue or even right our name down to take care of it later. Had he.....he likley would have realized the family he was talking to. He didn't know who he was talking to as we are a very big family in the area and have a long history with his place. He has likely lost about 50 family members in one fatal swoop, Hes lost our families businesses ever ordering from him again. After his behavior and lack of interest in fixing anything and him allowing his business to faulter at the expense of his customers I suspect he will continue to lose more and more each day. Lee we wish you well from a distance.... but take for granted what God gives you and he will take it from you
