Moogys is off the beaten path but well worth the trip. We have been several times and have not had anything that has disappointed. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. When I pulled up and saw the restaurant, I almost left. Don't let the plain looking building fool you. I had a delicious grouper sandwich and onion rings. Less than 1 week later we returned and had another delicious meal. The band sounded great too. I will definitely be back again. read more

Went to Moogy's last Friday for the first time with a group of 9. The staff took good care of us and everyone was pleased with the food. The grouper and the frog legs were the stars. One couple shared a huge prime rib that looked impressive. We will definitely be back! read more

We went to Moogy's at around 7 pm, waited until 7:45 to be seated, and then ate at around 9:30. It was potentially the longest I've ever had to wait at a restaurant and while the servers themselves were incredibly kind, it was tedious especially as drinks were not refilled often. The cheese fries appetizer were very good! The fries are a bit limp and not crispy, though. Ordering them plain as a side is not the move but they did the job when covered in cheese and bacon. The grouper and baked potato were a stand out of the evening! I would highly recommend the fish and to try to come at a time earlier than we did. Hopefully service is not always that slow! read more

After deciding to go to Moogy's (once a fave when his father owned it) for supper over the weekend, it was difficult to describe how bad things were. Let's start with the food--the only good thing on my plate were the sweet potato fries, but they were cold. My Medium Rare looked as pictured. While waiting, I asked the live artist if he knew a song, he sang it, then I asked if he was up for a duet. Afterwards, I admit I dropped a beer bottle (and even offered to clean it up myself.) The next thing I know, some woman is grabbing me by my broken arm (in 3 separate places) and forcefully lead me out. My family took me instead. I even had to pay for the overcooked food I couldn't eat it was so hard.) But the whole thing was really messed up. We went out to have supper to enjoy ourselves for Easter, and instead, got the worst food, worst service and I had to pay for it! Only go if you like your meat WELL WELL WELL DONE! read more

When you're out in the country, you want Southern Country cookin'. Fun atmosphere with darts, pool and what I hear Cornhole boards. But that is not the reason iwas excited for. The Bell's are frequent flyers here and once my Pop told me about a fried bologna sandwich it was on. Now I'm no stranger to this wonderful cuisine and grew up eatin this especially during the summer. Of corse you get the thick sliced but damn boy this sandwich THICCCCCK. Little mayo, mustard and a slice of cheese on that bad boy and I dont think I said a single word while eating it. We love Moogy's. We started with fried pickles and fried mushrooms, both were so yummy. The bf had the Buffalo shrimp and he enjoyed it. I had the salmon salad. It was a great piece of fish and the salad was fresh. The couple with us, the husband had the ribeye which might've been a tad over cooked-medium rather than medium rare, but he seemed to enjoy it and never complained. This place is a hidden gem. Way off the beaten path, but well worth the extra mile. The steaks are excellent, as well as everything else on the menu. . The owner is a great guy, very friendly and welcoming. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great place to go on Friday or Saturday night.
