Not huge, but we turned chicken adobo, homemade guacamole, homemade salsa verde, a couple peppers and some tortillas into an excellent dinner. The meat was so tasty and the salsa was very flavorful and fresh tasting. Guacamole was also good and I must say a serious bargain. Stopped by this meat market looking to buy premade ceviche. The store is very neat and clean, and well stocked with Mexican products and meat. The ceviche we ordered was not bad, but lacked flavor. The good thing about it was that it tasted very fresh. We also ordered some marinated chicken which was very good. Service was fast and prices for meat and seafood seemed reasonable. We came to Palm Springs from out of state for a surprise birthday party. I wanted something to feed 18 people that was easy to put together. I just happened to come across this wonderful Mexican meat market. I thought tacos should be easy. The people are friendly and helpful (and patient). I purchased the carne asada and pollo Asato, along with all the ceviches and salsas. We also got a large pan of Spanish rice and beans. Everything was fresh and delicious. Someone even helped load up my car. Found it by accident when visiting another nearby business. There are NO Accidents. My brother and I noticed it, and walked in to our utter delight. Fresh salsas, ceviches, tamales, carne asada, chicken.... All we needed for a taco party I wanted to host. I have been back a couple times since, and will go again today to stock up for Cinco de Mayo. This place has it all, even the coolest Mexican candies (tamarindo, yum). Great local find. Their meat cut selection is great and basics were sufficient. They don't have a ton of general groceries but enough for when you need the basics for bbq and tacos. What was new to me was their option for the wet marinade. Most carniceria's we have up in NorCal are dry seasoned marinades. With the wet, dipped on demand marinades you can really taste the difference. We got the typical steak cut for asada tacos but also got the cross cut short rib which I think is one of the tastiest cuts for bbq. We'll be back for sure.
