Enchilada and taco combo and torta
    Crystal O.

This is our first time here and we're not disappointed. I had the torta and my husband had the enchilada and taco combo. They had a salsa bar which was nice. The salsa had flavor, but the green was not spicy at all and had very little flavor. The ambiance is nice, but it got a little loud because they were very busy. I gave it a four because the food was not bad, but not great. It was worth the cost.

First stop when we visit the area is El Ranchito ! This restaurant does not disappoint when it comes to the fish taco and shredded beef hard shell taco . The fish is crispy fried and the taste with the cabbage and ranch dressing on a corn tortillas is heavenly . Very filling and satisfying . The shredded beef hard shell taco is loaded with beef and a great accompaniment with the fish taco . Always , the same quality each time I visit and the service is excellente!

We first discovered this place a few years ago when we stayed at a local resort. We loved it and couldn't wait to go back! It's a solid choice for Mexican food. We've been a few times now. Their crunchy tacos and taquitos are very good. Our friends liked the street tacos they ordered. I wanted to eat there again before leaving town but my husband wanted to try somewhere new.... Next time I want to try a burrito and/or enchilada.

Wow! This place is amazing. The menu had many different options and the service was good. The food came out very fast and was greatly portioned! I got two of the soft fried carne asada tacos with rice and beans (The tacos were giant!!). My partner got the flautas combo plate. There is a little self serve bar for all of the toppings you need; salsa, cilantro, onions, spicy carrots... my favorite was the cilantro and chipotle sauce. The restaurant itself was very clean and the employees were constantly going around wiping off the tables and sweeping the floor. I definitely would come here again!

Absolutely the best Authentic Mexican Food in Palm Desert! We ate here twice because the food was amazing. First time eating guacamole and it was more than I could imagine!

Can never visit or vacation in the area without stopping at El Ranchito in Palm Desert. Great customer service by the ladies behind the counter . There is a nice salsa bar with utensils and napkins to go. Ordered my usual order fish tacos with corn tortillas and ranch dressing, bean cheese and rice burrito , and a shredded beef hard shell taco . Super tasty and so filling to satisfy any appetite. It's no wonder the tables inside are always occupied.....eat in or take out!

Best fish tacos! My husband and I were in town for a wedding and were on the lookout for a quick spot to grab a bite before meeting our friends. We stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp, and with all the great reviews, we decided to give it a try. It's located in a shopping center, and as soon as we walked in, a friendly employee greeted us. We ordered 2 fish tacos, 1 Asada taco, and 1 Al pastor taco. The fish tacos are massive and loaded with chipotle aioli and cabbage; for someone like me who fills up quickly, one is definitely enough. I have to say, though, the al pastor taco could have been better; it didn't taste very authentic. There is also an amazing selection of toppings such as salsa, pickled onions for the tacos. The ambiance was very homey and friendly.

I do have to say that I was surprised that this was not a sitdown restaurant... I must've glanced over everything too quickly to realize that we had to place our orders ourselves at the front counter. That being said... We loved El Ranchito! I have to say it's probably the best Carnitas that I've had... I had it put on my tostada, even though that wasn't one of the options, they allowed me to substitute the Carnitas. A lot of times. Carnitas don't have a lot of flavor, but these were packed full of flavor. As you can see from the picture... Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs. The fajitas were outstanding as were the beans and rice that came with the enchilada dish. This place was packed, which is always a good sign. The person taking the order could've been friendlier, but the lady cleaning up was amazing. She made up for the lack of friendliness at the counter. Highly recommend!

Chorizo breakfast burrito is bomb!! 5/5 We split it and it was perfect ! Little greasy but so good!! This place is legit and very authentic! The beans are so good.

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Got it with cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. Top notch. Soup and sandwich were both excellent. I went with the Club. Solid. Daughter also grabbed the strawberry shortcake. This was just ok. Service was good and pricing is fair. They have the same stuff as the larger Palm Springs location. Small parking lot. Bakery counter. Good stuff.

We went in "just to look" (famous last words) and walked out with 3 cupcakes: vanilla bean, red velvet, and salted caramel toffee... plus a mocha tres leches parfait because self-control is seasonal and clearly out of stock!! Every single bite was the kind of good that makes you close your eyes mid-chew and ignore whoever's talking to you. But let's discuss the real star: the frosting!!! I was fully prepared for standard whipped cream or buttercream vibes, and instead got this cloud-like, silky situation that tasted rich but somehow light enough to justify eating an entire cupcake without emotional consequences. Tiffany herself let me in on the secret.... it's Italian meringue buttercream. So basically, classy buttercream that went to finishing school. Tiffany is also an absolute gem... warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she's baking up. You can taste the love (and the butter, but mostly the love)!!! If you're in the desert and your sweet tooth starts whispering reckless ideas, listen to it. And definitely support this family-owned local spot. We'll be back for "research purposes" and to satisfy our sweet tooth!!
