Year-round, it's the same. (I'd buy fish here before I would at Save-Mart or O'Briens!!) I also don't have to drive 7 miles down the road for the $.40 cheaper per pound, price, for frozen stuff. Gas costs! I definitely don't have to put up with fish that doesn't look or taste as well as what I buy locally. I can examine each and every piece of meat or fish that I buy there. No packages hiding huge pieces of fat underneath or smelly fish. If anyone has a problem with the butcher part of the store, no worries. Carneceria Meats Purchased: Short-ribs, Carne Asada (marinated) I know that you can't control how fatty the ribs are at times but they gave us very good pieces of short-ribs where we didn't have to trim them too much nor did we have to throw pieces away due to the fat. Asada was average price ($16.99) but it was very good Their tomatillo salsa was so good. Perfectly spicy. Their chicharrones were also a hit.
