Market Review. Saw a line when we came in. Took us a minute to realize it was the line for the cooked food (next time stop!) There was no line at the carneceria and the butcher was quick to help us when we went up to the meat counter. Carneceria Meats Purchased: Short-ribs, Carne Asada (marinated) I know that you can't control how fatty the ribs are at times but they gave us very good pieces of short-ribs where we didn't have to trim them too much nor did we have to throw pieces away due to the fat. Asada was average price ($16.99) but it was very good Their tomatillo salsa was so good. Perfectly spicy. Their chicharrones were also a hit. I was able to pick up every thing we needed for a quick BBQ. Tortillas, tomatoes, beer...it was nice to have a market so small, have it all. Def will be back. read more

Just order a soup burrito I've been thinking about that for two weeks. First few bites were great after that a bitter sharp nasty taste so I cut off the middle and try to eat the end still bitter and nasty. Do not go to eat here i'm having to throw out a $10 burrito after five or six bites. First time going there and will be the last time. read more

Dang! So good, ran through town on the way to Medesto and stopped to grab a bite. People in the "know", know to look for low key store fronts for a good meal. The food we had was great, hot, big, and full of flavor. The burrito supremes were just that "Supreme." As were waiting for our food we took a quick walk around the rest of the store. I retired from 33 years of retail grocery and know stores. This store is clean! It's tight but would have you covered with all the basic of American cooking and 100% covered in a Mexican kitchen. The meat department was beautiful, picture worthy for sure. Smiles all around from the ladies in the kitchen, the meat cutters and the cashier. Perfect service. But was the food good? Heck yeah! The male cashier is friendly unlike many places like this these days, the meats are excellent. The butchers are friendly and engaging again unlike most meat markets you go to these days in Newman or Patterson The only issue i have is the lady who works solo in the kitchen handles money and cooks at the same time which is worrisome. I specifically ask for salsa on the side on my burrito or tacos (meaning, i still want salsa but i want it to go on the side with their plastic 1oz cups. When they do provide me one (after having to beg for it) they only give 1 smh. The BEST Chorizo Everrrr. We come all the way from Santa Rosa, CA for their chorizo. It has so much flavor and not too greasy when cooking. Actually not greasy at all. Whenever I cook another chorizo I have to take out so much Manteca out. It also does not stain your hands when cooking with it. Whenever you're cooking with other chorizo your hands are left with a red orange stain. The taqueria never disappoints! The burritos are BIG...they don't skimp. The tacos are always good too. The salsa is HOT...but so so good lol. The meat in the carnicería always looks fresh. The employees are attentive and fast to help you. I really like that they marinate the carne for you upon ordering. I've also had the marinated chicken and it cooks up so delicious. This place all the way around best carneceria, I order ahead when planning a BBQ. As for eating in definitely good burritos, torta's I love there menudo, carnita's and birria for weekend's, best with their handmade tortillas. Always busy but worth the waiting. The best marinaded carne asada in town! Amazing on the BBQ. I suggest getting their chile (be careful though, it is REALLY spicy). We usually get an order of whole beans, which are really delicious. We always put them in our tacos. You won't regret it. I also really love their tacos. read more

Most axing burritos I have ever had in my life. Amazing 1 Dollar Taco's! Not the most beautiful place to eat IN considering it's half a meat shop half a market, but it does have a nice seating area with napkins! I highly suggest a Supreme Burrito with extra sour cream & for only a Dollar you can get a whole avocado added! It doesn't take long before I start craving another one! read more

I've been here a few times but after tonight I'm never going back. The lady working tonight was the rudest person ever. She forgot to give me a quesadilla I realized when I got home I went back down there and at first she said I never ordered one then she said she remembered making it and handing it to me... then said she forgot the grilled onions and handed me them. After arguing about it she pulled out someone else's receipt with a complete different order and said that I never ordered a quesadilla... so which is !?!? I didn't have one then you remember making it and handing it to me then you forgot the onions and now back to me never ordering one?? So I paid for one but never got it. THANKS. Been in there only about 5 times. 3 times to purchase tacos and burritos. 2 times to purchase meat to grill at home. Everything was really good, as you can see that we went back... their prepared chicken to grill at home is the best!! Their pollo asado tacos are also the best!! My husband eats carne asada tacos and burritos and says they are the best in town. Only had one issue of waiting but that was because we made the mistake of going at 12:30. Everyone went there for lunch that day so I had to wait 40 minutes for a burrito and 4 tacos. I had to wait because the burrito was my husband lunch for work and he couldn't go to work with no lunch. But next time we know to go an hour ahead lol read more
