I always buy groceries and hot food here but the customer service is no bueno. My 6 year old had to use the restroom and the cashier refused to let my daughter use it, yes I stopped buying here because they refused to let my 6 year old use their restroom. DO NOT waster your money!! If I could give zero stars I would. I've been to the Manteca location and it's the best. So I made the assumption this place has to be as equal since it's listed as #2. Boy was I wrong! A big waste of $32! Ordered 2 chicken tacos, asada fries, bean burrito w/asada, and 4 asada tacos. The meat in every item was burnt!! Literally every piece was hard not to mention so minuscule! We were all really disappointed. I wish we didn't spot it because we were actually going to La Costa, but this place caught the corner of our eye... unfortunately! Please learn from this review as well as previous ones. This place is great! It's a typical carniceria- part grocery store, part meat market, they serve hot food and have a small pan dulce section. They cook whole marinated chickens in a huge barrel BBQ out front and the smell is amazing! I have bought fresh produce, groceries, pan and marinated meat here and it was all great. The service is awesome too, especially the girls who run the registers, they are always helpful and very friendly. The absolute greatest part about this place is the hot food! They offer everything a typical taqueria does and more! My favorite thing is the chicharrones con chile! This is one of my favorite foods of all time and theirs does not disappoint! They use the chicharrones that they fry in house, that delicious pork skin with some of the meat still on it (we're not talking pork rinds from a bag here people) They have both green chili chicharrones con chile and your classic red, the red is my favorite. Sometimes I order them on their own, sometimes I get them in a burrito. I just can't get enough. If chicharrones aren't your thing, the rest of the hot food they offer is very good too. Try a carne asada Torta or one of the awesome chile rellenos. If you are a true fan of Mexican food you must give this place a try! read more

OK, so I've eaten at many places but this has to be by far the worst. This is more like a place where you go and buy Mexican food, they have Mexican baked goods, meats (uncooked) its a market and they also have an area like a deli. The day I went in they had a special $4.99 for an entry drink and dessert so I though lets try it. I order a asada burrito and was patiently waiting for the cook to make it. Right next to the grill they were cooking the pork skin called Chicharron which is cooked in its own fat LARD! The cook preceded to take out the meat and before my eyes she grabbed LARD and poured it on top of what was suppose to be the meat for my burrito. I immediately canceled the order and explain to her what my problem was. I am sure their beans and food had the same fat! I don't expect them to use extra virgin olive oil but come on LARD! If you are looking to add some good old fat to your arteries this is the place to go! read more

Having this place next to the gym is a blessing and a curse. After working out I can walk over to Rosita's and throw away all my hard work by purchasing some pan dulce. Most of their pan dulce is $0.45 each but some are $0.65 (usually ones with filling). Rosita's has weekly sales and sometimes certain types of pan dulce are 3 for $1. They will conveniently post which pan dulce is on sale on their pastry display cases so you can't miss it. To the right of their pan dulce section there are bins with fresh bread rolls - I recommend trying the bread with cheese inside...very good. Everything is always fresh and the prices are right. I don't think you can go wrong. Quick tip - there aren't any trays for the pan dulce so grab a plastic produce bag or one of those brown boxes they keep right under the pastry display cases. read more

It's super frustrating and annoying that they don't know know to take an order in the deli section. We called in an order today for pick up and the food lacked flavor, was cold, and they screwed up my order. I ordered a vegetarian burrito. They literally *cannot* comprehend that a person would want a burrito without meat. Somehow they ended up making me a egg and bacon burrito when I specified a vegetarian burrito (beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, salsa, cheese, and sour cream). Won't be back as this isn't the first time they messed up my order. #annoying read more

This used to be our SPOT for burritos and other menu items but lately the quality has really gone down. Every time we order anything with carne asada the meat tastes like it's been sitting for 3 days. It's burnt, black, hard, too hard to even chew. Its close to our house we go there all the time but don't want to keep spending money on bad food. I guess we will resort to la costa for our spot until they improve. read more

I used to love coming here....there has been a few hiccups with customer service but today was the icing on the cake for me. Im done with this place. So 1st off i dont speak spanish so ordering from the hot section (cooked already) sometimes can be difficult since the workers hardly speak English but today they played me big time and this is why im done here. I wanted a pound of cooked/hot chopped asada for tacos. The girl pulls out a bucket of cold/cooked asada and fills up the cup. She said ok 1.25lbs is ok? I said yes but why is it cold? She said oh you want it hot i said yeah(why else would i order it from that side, if that was the case i would have bought it raw. That's alot cheaper)anyways so she warms it up and puts the tag for the 1.25lb.....i told her to weigh it again because it will weigh less now since you cooked some of the fat off. She said no thats the price. I went back and forth with them but we had a language barrier, but they continued to play dumb and act like they dont understand. Finally i just put it on the damn scale and showed them...look it only weighs 1.10lbs now...they said ok well we have to charge you more for the hot price. No where on there menu does it say there is 2 different prices for cold or hot. Smh! I thought this was pretty ridiculous and pretty messed up to get over on a customer even if it is only .15lbs difference. I feel if i spoke spanish i would have been treated differently. Which is very sad that they would use thia against me juat to come up on me a couple dollars. Never going back! read more

My aunt ordered some carnitas and rice along with some tortillas for my nieces 4th birthday party yesterday. We picked up the carnitas at around 1:00 pm and started serving plates. As soon as we opened up the tray we smelt a rancid smell, but thought that maybe that's how they were suppose to smell since they are made with lard.. We noticed everyone didn't eat the carnitas and that's when we knew something was wrong.. We put the carnitas inside the refrigerator and about 30 minutes later I went inside and smelt straight up POOP when I opened the refrigerator.. My mom took the carnitas in first thing Monday morning and informed them that the carnitas were not good. The lady she smoke to at first told her that, that's the way they are suppose to smell.. Umm heck no my carnitas are not suppose to smell like poop!. I don't know what carnitas you've been eating. My mom became upset and asked to speak to the manager. A young man came out and and stated that he was the owner's son, and he also insisted that the carnitas were good and did not smell bad..They even had the audacity to ask the other employees to smell them and tell my mom that they smelt good.. What kind of customer service is that?! Finally the owner came out and stated that a lot of people have been returning there food so they changed there policy and only give store credit.. Umm hello they're returning your food for a reason.. Instead of trying to justify and deny that the carnitas were bad just apologize and ADMIT to your mistake. My mom was there for over an hour arguing with these people until she finally got some money back and it was store credit. Super disappointed in there customer service, especially when it's coming from the owners mouth. read more

I used to always go to their other location in Manteca until I found out they have a second location in Tracy where I live. They have a nice variety of pan dulce (sweet bread), drinks, snacks and food you can order and eat there. The workers are so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend checking this place out. This place is a meat market and has a produce section. It's a very nice store. I came in this visit for the food that they already have prepared. This place is my new favorite to go to eat Mexican food! Isidro was super nice and helpful and told me about how amazing all of the food here was! I asked what he recommended and he said "There is not one thing better than the other. Everything is good." So, I drove down the street on my lunch today and ordered a chile relleno with rice and refried beans. (Also, came with tortillas. ) Everyone there was really friendly and helpful! read more
