Resolved myself to driving to Tracy Modesto, or Stockton, and had checked Yelp to determine the closest Filipino Market and discovered this market had recently opened and was only 5 miles away! Located in what seems like a rural road next to the railroad tracks in a small strip of businesses that included a tiny post office. The market is small and filled with all the essentials. I was hoping that they would have some ready-made snacks to go or baked goods, but they didn't. If you're looking for packaged noodles, lumpia wrappers, rice and most of your basic pantry items and snacks including Mama Sita and Magnolia ice cream, then you're all set. Unfortunately, the fresh vegetables that they did have was limited and were laying out on a table or in boxes on the floor and looked more wilted than fresh due to lack of refrigeration. In a pinch, this place is great and they have lots of packed snacks.

Honestly I didn't think Tracy needed another Indian Grocery store.. then I visited here. I wasn't…read morefully prepared for not only how big this store is but the huge variety of products. They occupy the corner lot of this plaza so the store itself is large and crammed full of pretty much everything you need. Fresh produce, Dairy, an insane amount of Frozen breads, Rice, Sauces, Spices, Legumes and even a hot counter with Samosas ect. One thing I especially like about Indian Grocery stores is they tend to have a selection of British items too and here you will find an entire isle dedicated to Tea and Biscuits (American translation: Cookies. Except way better than any Nabisco / Keebler creation). Plus imported British Chocolate One thing I will say is don't expect a quick stop here because 1. There's so many items to browse and 2. It is very busy. Waiting in line at the Checkout for 20 minutes isn't uncommon.

I came in to buy some chapati with my special needs client, as I do every single week, and after being asked if I had cash, was informed that I would be charged $.50 for a purchase under $10. I told the gentleman I have never been charged that, and he said it's been policy for 2 years. I said okay that's fine, but you're the only person who has charged me that. Out of nowhere he got upset and grabbed the bag of chapati and handed me back my card and told me to get out of his store. I seriously am still sitting here in shock, not just because of how I was treated, but because I never really had a problem with the charge, I was just telling him I've never been charged that before! If this is how they treat their customers, especially customers with special needs, that is extremely sad, and shows their true character. Shame on them.
