Family run business. Soft and tasty carnitas at a great price. It was my first time here and family were friendly and nice. I drove an hour to taste their taco carnitas and ended up buying 2 lbs to take home. The pig ears adds the flavor to the meat. Customers were friendly as well. Their prices are very reasonable including the soda so support good street food made by a loving family. I definitely will be back to try cheese carnitas next. Can't beat it nice and hot off the grill. Lines can form but they work their best to move it fast.

I hate carnitas made in the U.S.A. First and foremost because almost everyone is lazy about doing carnitas. Boiling the pork before braising. Are you kidding me. These guys get it!!! The only way to make carnitas is in the style of Mr. Romulo "Momo" Acosta. Recent winner of "Best in Show" at L.A. Taco Madness 2014 on April 20th. They were also recently featured on "Primera Edicion" on Univision Channel 34 Los Angeles (Spanish Speaking TV Station). They have two locations so check both out. 61st and Avalon and Melrose Avenue and Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. Get the "Taco Surtido" or combo taco if you really like your pork. Incredible carnitas, exactly like Mexico.

    We're here!

Finally got to taste carnitas el momo acosta and WoW! Aporkalypse tacos are heaven on a plate! So moist and tender. Loved every flavorful bite. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. They brought a table out for us. The horchata was perfection. The salsa was on poont. They even gave use free migajas tacos to try. I loved my experience. Thank you for so much deliciousness. Hasta pronto!!!

I love the Cabeza tortilla and 3 is the perfect number of tacos for me as they are pretty generous with the meat and avocado sauce. Been here twice and both times because we were going to a show at the Forum which is just a short drive away. It gets pretty busy around dinner time so expect a long wait as the line moves pretty slowly (everything is made/ cooked fresh!)... but the wait is 100% worth it. Just make sure you order enough the first time so you dont have to wait in line again. There is some parking but it gets pretty crowded too so you might have to street park (and the area around can get a little sketch) so be careful. The second time we came here was almost 1130pm right before their midnight closing. This time, the parking lot was emptier so we managed to park inside. There was still a pretty steady stream of customers even around closing, but at least the line isn't ridiculously long. Can't go wrong with anything you order here!

I got the carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos, and a mulitas. My favorite was definitely the mulitas because I love cheese! They are known for their carne asada, but I actually preferred their al pastor because it was so juicy.

Amazing. I went to the new location in Inglewood CA, across the street from SoFi Stadium. It's in a…read moresmall shopping center in the corner. Really hard to see from the street but it's there. Very small place serving up some really big tacos. Food: Flavor hits just right. The tacos are massive about a pound worth of food no joke. The tortillas are fire and have so much flavor. Love this spot. 1) tacos - massive with all the toppings you could ask for. When I went they only have asada meat. But the asada has a smokey flavor that really enhances the flavor of the taco. They have this salsa that is tangy and when you add that to the tacos. Its a brain buster. The beans hit too no joke. 2) Quesadilla - also with asada meat or you can get it without meat. But it's good. And the size is well worth it. Flavor is good not going to lie. Service: Two young guys, super nice and polite. They had no trouble assisting me on my first time there. Great job and thank you. Location: 905 S Prairie Ave Ste. D, Inglewood, CA 90301 - it's a walk-in joint only not seating inside the restaurant. But they do have a couple tables outside you can use to eat. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is probably the only thing missing. Because it's a walk-in only. There isn't really anywhere for people to sit and enjoy the food at the restaurant. Unfortunately you either eat outside at the stand-up tables in the parking lot or order to go. Price: It's about $16 for a combo that includes 1 tacos, chips and a medium drink. Keep in mind you only need one tacos these bad boys are the size of a burrito.
