I delayed writing this review to really think through, and now I will confidently say--these are…read moreeasily the best tacos I've ever had. Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

Yummy Tijuana style tacos! We stopped by after leaving an event near DTLA. I've seen so many good…read morereviews of this place, I was excited to try after bookmarking it for awhile. We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

Amazing. I went to the new location in Inglewood CA, across the street from SoFi Stadium. It's in a…read moresmall shopping center in the corner. Really hard to see from the street but it's there. Very small place serving up some really big tacos. Food: Flavor hits just right. The tacos are massive about a pound worth of food no joke. The tortillas are fire and have so much flavor. Love this spot. 1) tacos - massive with all the toppings you could ask for. When I went they only have asada meat. But the asada has a smokey flavor that really enhances the flavor of the taco. They have this salsa that is tangy and when you add that to the tacos. Its a brain buster. The beans hit too no joke. 2) Quesadilla - also with asada meat or you can get it without meat. But it's good. And the size is well worth it. Flavor is good not going to lie. Service: Two young guys, super nice and polite. They had no trouble assisting me on my first time there. Great job and thank you. Location: 905 S Prairie Ave Ste. D, Inglewood, CA 90301 - it's a walk-in joint only not seating inside the restaurant. But they do have a couple tables outside you can use to eat. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is probably the only thing missing. Because it's a walk-in only. There isn't really anywhere for people to sit and enjoy the food at the restaurant. Unfortunately you either eat outside at the stand-up tables in the parking lot or order to go. Price: It's about $16 for a combo that includes 1 tacos, chips and a medium drink. Keep in mind you only need one tacos these bad boys are the size of a burrito.

I ordered the perro tacos but it tasted more like a bean burrito, unfortunately. The meat to bean ration was way off (more beans than meat). The staff was great, attentive, so I cant say anything bad about them. The place was very clean, but smelled like marijuana (not a bad thing, just not for everyone). Might give em another go if Im in the area again.
