If you love carnitas this is the spot for you! Not only can you grab your faves--tacos, burritos, quesadillas, plates...you can also get combos to serve a small or large army of people. They have tables to sit at, and also offer to go. Guy working the register was great. Ordered the plate and a burrito both with the pura carne. Both of us are now stuffed. Meat was tender with a bit of crisp. Great flavor. Tried both the red and green salsas which had a good spice to them. Can't wait to come back for my next carnitas fix.

The most amazing carnitas in Northern California!!!

Stumbled on this place! And wow! Walked in and the place was crowded. The man behind the counter was so nice and happy. I got the 3 carnitas tacos, rice and beans with a drink! The tacos had so much meat and the flavor was amazing! Beans were yummy! And the 2 salsas were make your mouth smile! Try this place out! I will definitely be back !!!

I went and tried combo#3. Mixed meat; carnitas were good quite frankly the way I like them.. good portion too. I sat and ate inside, the air was dry and smelled like wet concrete as if the place had flooded; definitely needs some sort of fan running. My food came out. I would recommend to provide more line. I got a lousy small piece of lime. And the sauce??! What sauce! It was more like paste consistency than sauce. Carnitas need a pico de gallo and a true tomatillo or tomato salsa that's not dry. Que se vea el orgullo de servir una rica y buena porción de comida con buena salsa sin que se vea la pobreza de porciones de salsa.

VERY good. I'll be back. Orange salsa is delicious, a nice hot that makes your lips tingle a bit but fades quick. I didn't get a pic of the green salsa but it was tasty too. Not spicy! I want to try the different ones per lb next time. Lovely place to go in that building on Park!! Just what Chico needed.

    Salsa Trio, each like-able.

Carnitas, when prepared correctly, I like to think it surpasses most other meats. Considering that the preparation requires knowledge, or should I say, skills to pay the bills. All components are critical when thinking about it: fresh cilantro, for those inclined for chopped onions, a piece of lime, and vital component: salsa(s) . The traditional Carnitas would require several hours in a type copper container, but surely other types also work fine. Key ingredients mandatory and slow cooking. Carnitas El Rincón, whose location honors the name as its in kind of a corner, worth pursuing. Food: 2 Carnitas Tacos. Lovely Lady and myself wanted to try this place. Owner Alfredo, a gentleman in all sense of the word. Tacos arrived in double tortillas, loaded with carnitas, cilantro on top, diced onions, and voila! 3 different salsas. Each a different color, and its own attributes. The orange a tad sweet, just enough to add to the Trio. Spicy? Not where lips inflate, but a tolerable kick which was well welcome. I like the vedette carnitas. Personally once cooked I favor soft steamed full of flavor, but my lovely companion likes them tossed in the grill. Never, if possible microwaved! Businesses throwing a get together, anniversaries, graduations, and most essential, regular Chico patrons should consider this place. As long as it is served like ours were, big and chunky, smeared with the trio salsas, is worth trying. No idea of other items on their decent menu. Good people, good carnitas, might just go big next time. Mano a mano: carnitas vs carne asada, ay chihuahua! 4.5 Stars.

We order the meal for 15 people, plus some chicharones, it was so good. The rice and beans could be better though.

It was a sendoff worthy of mariachi music and a frozen margarita toast. Let's start with the food: fire-grilled shrimp sizzling over peppers and onions, the kind of skillet that turns heads when it hits the table. The birria tacos were rich, cheesy, and golden-seared to perfection, with a deeply savory consommé for dipping every bite a messy, magnificent win. The combo plates brought it all together: classic rice and beans, fresh pico, guac, sour cream, and cheese so generous it should've paid rent. The place is full of charm, too. Walking through the doors is like stepping into a vibrant fiesta bright papel picado overhead, carved wooden benches, tiled floors that feel like abuela's house, and cheerful service that made us feel like family. I especially loved the colorful little photo-op corner by the entrance perfect for capturing the last California memory before heading east. It's not fancy. It's real. The kind of restaurant where flavors speak louder than trends, and you leave with a full belly and a bigger smile. Whether you're rolling through Chico or you're lucky enough to call it home, La Fiesta deserves a spot on your regular rotation. And if you're heading out of town like I was, this is the kind of farewell feast that sticks with you right next to the taste of lime and roasted onion. #LaFiestaChico #BirriaTacos #SizzlingShrimp #ChicoEats #ItsTheLittleThings #ThePuddingCreekTrestle #FoodieFuel #GuacAndRoll #TacoJoy #FlavorTrip

Also, I dont give 5 stars easily and this was easily a 5 star Tacos: my buddy got the tacos cause he said he wasnt that hungry. Tbf, still looks good, idk his opinions on it Super burrito: so no wet burritos on the menu, you have to pay 3$ extra to make a burrito of your choice to be wet. All I said was I want a wet burrito and guy gave me a super burrito and made it wet. Taste wise it was delicious, can't really mess up a burrito. The sauce surrounding it was pretty darn good too. It was kinda tough to eat it though, with a knife and fork. Surprisingly didnt spill too much and fork could pick up the residue pretty well. I had to slice it and then cut that slice in half just to fit it in my mouth. I still prefer dry burrito over wet though and would get dry next time but even with the added 3$, it was still very worth. Chips and salsa: how could I forget about the chips and salsa. Mexican restaurants love their free chips and salsa and this is no exception. They not only have a salsa bar with many different sauces, but they also got a fat metal box with tons of chips for you to scoop yourself, it was amazing. Not only that but they got lids for the sauces and take out bags on the counter if you didnt finish them either. Extra Wish I took pic of menu but I was with friend 5/5 would go again
