I went in here for the first time, for lunch. Service was efficient and rapid. I've recently gone to various places to order tacos. A new one selected each time. This place did not disappoint. They serve mainly pork for meat options, different types of prepared pork and chicken is available. No pastor to be had. Sadly, no beef or Steak/Carne Asada either. They do pork very well, it was delicious. I ordered a super taco with Carnitas on it and a regular/street taco with chicken. They do not skimp on the meat portions. The actual Carnitas (shredded pork) on the super taco was grade A. Was not greasy, stringy, or crispy. It was tender and tasty. I could tell it was freshly made. They have three different sauce to choose from and all are above average. I got the green avocado salsa. This restaurant is sizable, and has a large seating area with a lot of chairs. There is a bar in the corner too, but nobody was sitting there at all. I'm thinking the crowds are packed in at nighttime here. The customer service was swell. Nothing negative to speak of. I want to give this place five stars, because I really did like the food. I won't do so because on a hot day, some ice in my drink was necessary. The fountain soda machine was not dispensing ice cubes. Nonfunctional. Not okay. Everything else was practically fine though. The price points are not low. Spendy menu items across the board. The store was very clean, with an atmosphere more welcoming than not. I'd return for more. read more

Realmente muy mala esperiencia hoy sábado 28 de febrero decidimos volver a las carnitas, pero nos llevamos un muy mal sabor de boca, pedí 1 1/2 de carnitas y una soda para comer en el lugar a las 10 de la mañana con 3 minutos duraron 20 minutos en una sola horde para entregarla y jamás nos ofrecieron alguna otra cosa ni tortillas, hasta que se entregó la orden nos dijeron que las tortillas aparte. 1st time here and we liked it. We ordered the carnitas plate. Carnitas were flavorful and quantity was a value. Rice and refried beans were delicious. Restaurant was busy with take out orders. 10 people waiting but we were the only ones eating in. Tables were clean and cashier came by and asked us if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Her English wasn't the best but my wife's speaks Spanish so everything went smooth. We will be back. read more

Food was average at best. In a world of street tacos theirs didn't stand out. The service was far slower than expected. It was fast food tacos and that's about the most I can say. If you're after "different" or "more"...keep looking. read more

I decided to return here to get a super carnita burrito. I must say, it was not as good as the first time. I paid more to get cheese, guacamole and sour cream in it and there was no trace of that in my super burrito! Just meat, rice and beans. I ordered "to go" so I could not show them unfortunately. Also, the carnita meat had large pieces of fat chopped up into my burrito. Like filllers. I am disappointed. For $10, there are other taquerias who provide you with what you expect. This review takes me on a rollercoaster! I found this location on Yelp and wanted to try them, but when I arrived the location looked abandoned. If you find yourself in the same situation, in the parking lot facing their sign over a vacant looking spot in the strip mall, simply turn yourself about 200 degrees to the right and you will see a stand alone restaurant that also has their sign. Apparently they have moved from the location they show on maps but all you have to do is walk across the parking lot and you are there. That was my first drop and then rise. The food is very reasonably price for the portion size so I was incredibly excited to try it and, as the name states, the only meat they offer is carnitas, so it makes your choices very easy! I ordered a burrito and received a hefty one and happily headed home on a high. The low then came when I arrived home and opened my burrito and began eating... It was bland and dry and even after multiple bites I could not find any avocado or sour cream as promised. Also, when I say bland, I mean I couldn't even taste salt. Being discouraged, I rummaged through the bad and found some salsa! Yay. We were back on top. They had three small sample options but the only one I liked was the green salsa; it had a nice flavor and a steady eat through and through. I poured on the green salsa and kept eating. The burrito was much improved. Then I bit down on something hard, which is always unpleasant and it was that hard little nodule on the outside of the avocado that must have slipped in. That really put me on a downturn but not as much as the hair I found in the next bite. I did not finish my burrito as I wasn't in the mood for a treasure hunt and did not want to see what else might be lurking. I also never really found any sour cream or avocado...maybe a hint but I can't be sure. Still, I was full. See what I said when I told you it was a roller-coaster? Anyway, here is my rationale for 3 stars. This seems to be a small business and I really felt the value was good. That is important these days. Also, although the burrito was bland, what I appreciate about that is that anyone could eat it and those who want more flavor can always add something in. Lastly, I am disgusted with finding things in my food as anyone would be but it is possible that was a fluke. I would be willing to give them another try...someday and I would actually suggest them to anyone who is very hingry and short on cash. read more

Costumer services was great right off the bat sweet lady very welcoming she tried to explain to me how their tortillas were not made from scratch, but I don't think she realizes how many restaurants sell terrible food. I ordered 3 carnitas mixtas tacos is a mixture of pork rinds and carnitas for $12. Tacos were spectacular soft meat and very flavorful but their creamy habanero salsa is out of this world maaannn it definitely took my tacos to another level. I even bought salsa to take home putting that on everything. The atmosphere/ambiance could need some help it was awkwardly quiet maybe some music would be nice. read more

None of the workers speak English. They messed up on your food then they get mad. Customer service is really bad. She was snatching stuff for me. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to even get my money back horrible. read more

Went by this morn .. ordered their #1 combo . Beans , rice .. and mixed carnitas. I usually go to Stockton's location but I was in Lodi . I will still to the Stockton location. Customer service was mid , it took forever for the order and it was 10 am and i didn't get a mix of carnitas , beans and rice were mid . The Stockton location is off the 99 on Waterloo road . Tastes way better and these ladies are nice and fast and efficient. I'll stick to that location. read more

This place is fire. They do carnitas here. Very good carnitas (meat only or mixed). Another person had commented there was "fat" in the meat. They got the mixed. This is common with carnitas. Carnitas, buche, cueritos muy delicioso pero el menudo estaba muy duro, lo tuve que hervir más en mi casa. Las últimas 3 veses que eh venido en domingo se tardan demasiado y no ay más de 2 mesas con gente comiendo ahí. Aparte no solo se equivocaron con mi orden sino con la de más gente que ordena para llevar y para comer ahí. No cobran bien por que más de una ves escuche que decían no te cobre esto y tienes que volver a pagar y aparte esperar más tiempo a que te den lo que no te cobraron. I'm on the hunt for the best Mexican food restaurants in the valley. I visited Carnitas El Rincon this week because of the favorable reviews. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. I REALLY wanted to like this place because the customer service was so good, but I have to be honest - the food was not tasty. I ordered the super burrito and it did nothing for me except send me to the toilet. The burrito was not mixed very well - the meat and what tasted like long strips of some vegetable (peppers? Onions? No se) was at the top, and the cheese met my mouth as I took the last few bites. Usually, I'll give a place a couple of tries, but not in this case - stick a fork in me I'm done. read more

Saw them mentioned on Lodi 411 on FB. Decided to try them out. Excellent, HUGE, burritos. Meat was not greasy. Very tasty. Pleasant staff. Highly recommend them if you're hungry for Mexican food. Located close but east of the 99 Cent Store on Kettleman. The map location here on Yelp is not accurate. read more
