Stopped here for lunch on our second to last day in Cancun and we were pleasantly surprised. It is right on the street and was walking distance from our hotel. Greetings!! Stop by while walking and we were hungry. The food was ok and customer service was great. The margaritas were not strong but we added extra shots. We ordered a gorinda and the #40 salted steak with salad and guacamole. Both items were not tasty at all. The gorinda was super dry and lacked any flavors. Very cute little shop with super friendly employees! Everyone was smiling and very welcoming. The seating is mostly outdoors but there's also seating in the shade under the building. My bf and I decided to leave our all inclusive resort and head across the street (literally was a 2 minute walk from the Occidental Costa Cancun in hotel zone) to try out some of the authentic dishes they offered. We ordered a taco platter to share, flautas for me, and the bf got some kind of beef and scrambled eggs dish. The tacos were great! The beef sirloin and tenderloin was probably my favorite Bc it was fried crispy and was still so savory. Flautas were great with the delightful creamy white sauce on top, but the meat was a tad bit dry for my taste. My bf liked his dish as well but it was wayyyyy too salty. We noticed that they salt their meats aggressively so be sure to ask for less salt if you're sensitive to that. Overall, we went back often for delish tacos for cheap! We were shook at the great prices bc tacos back at home were 2.5-3.5 for a measly little thing smh. I think for the whole meal (drinks, tacos, and entrees for both of us) I only paid a little over $20!! OH! Also their fruit drinks are all freshly squeezed and super refreshing. Stopped by for carnitas after spending the day in Tortuga Playa. We were craving carnitas and drinks. After order two mixed drinks and a beer, we were told they ran out of carnitas earlier. The mixed drinks were delicious but not for the price. The total was 450 MD. I realize we were closer to Cancun but it seems excessive for a less than fancy restaurant off the main road. They got my order wrong twice and it was cold. In fact they never got it right, I was just so hungry I finally ate whatever they brought. We ordered drinks we never got.
