A fun little, touristy store with LOTS OF STUFF! Toys, trinkets, key chains, stuffed animals,…read moregames, refrigerator magnets, collectible shot glasses, sunglasses, some neat old-time lunch boxes, and many items that say "Long Beach, WA" on them, the best kind of souvenir. We've been in the store a couple times over the years looking for tie-die t-shirts and hoodies, of which they usually have a great selection. The day we went "finding," we didn't see a single adult size tie-die t-shirt in the whole store (we searched the whole town that day, actually) so will have to try again at some point. The real draw, in my opinion, is the selection of kites. Really good quality too. The nearby beach is the perfect place to fly them too. We usually visit tourist beach towns like Long Beach mid-week when kids are still in school so we've never had an issue with spotty customer service. So many complaints from other Yelpers makes me think you reap what you sow. Many people come in with kids making noise and running all over the place, touching everything, etc. If I were a shop owner or worker I'd get a tad perturbed too. Just saying. Will definitely be going back to Stormin Norman's next time we're in town. ZOLTAR even meets you at the door and can tell your personal fortune for a small fee.

Back in Mar 2022, I was on a road trip from Southern Cal to up north through San Francisco, CA,…read morePortland, OR, and Discovery Bay, WA. I swung on by Long Beach, WA on my way back to Portland. Got a chance to check out Peninsula Pharmacy. I was actually looking for postcards as I'm a collector of postcards and magnets wherever I travel to. However, their postcards weren't to my liking, but I still walked around the place to see what goodies I can find. I bought 3 pairs of socks... avocados, buzzing bees, and crackling octopus. SO CUTE! It's a nice pharmacy that not only sells pharmacy stuff, but all sorts of other stuff. However, when I was there lingering around the socks for so long because I could not decide, I felt I was being watched by one of the women who works there. Just a feeling I got... you just know when someone has an eye on you LOL. I'm not referring to the romantic way LOL. Anyway, I had to quickly decide otherwise they might have gotten more suspicious of my intent. All I wanted to do was to pick the best designs. It's not like I was going to run out with them socks without paying LOL. I always pay for my goods. Anyhoo, do drop on by when you're in Long Beach, WA. Perhaps you'll pick up a pair of socks or two. Just don't linger LOL. Happy Shopping!

We stopped at the jewelry on a table in front of the cashier. When I had an older women I would say in her seventies, stop in front of us just glaring at us. I believe she thought we were going to shop lift. I thought how rude. We went to another area of the store, again she was right next to us glaring. Very uncomfortable and we are NOT shop lifters!!!!!! We actually purchased items, and she was right behind us following us. NEVER will I go into that pharmacy again. We goto Long Beach a lot.

Update a year later :…read more Ice Cream after dinner. The sign says 64 flavors , but i think reality is 30. Again. after two years, No Chocolate. Chip. So Rocky Road, it includes marshmallows and nuts. Single scoop, the size of a baseball. I dropped a Quarter in the water game device on the counter and it landed in the center on a bullseye. So i won a free second scoop $ 8.00 free scoop. GO FOR IT! Now I know how big two scoops are, HUGE. !! Can't pass up being a winner. The Guy behind me worked this counter for 3 years and said He had very few coin drop winners. Like almost None. The line is long and slow and the ice cream is delicious and a generous serving. Wait for it ! After a day at the Kite Festival.

Within seconds we were treated with outright disrespect by an elderly woman near the salt-water taffy. She immediately started shaking her head at us and then made multiple inappropriate and disgusting comments -- within less than a minute: - "Is this an insane asylum or a sane asylum?" - Telling my 12 year old daughter and niece to "close their legs and keep them shut." Speaking to CHILDREN like that is beyond inappropriate--it's disturbing. As we were walking out she went behind the counter and started opening & shutting cabinets as loudly as she could. We didn't even stay a full minute before leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we were. No family should ever be made to feel like that walking into a business. If this is how customers, especially kids are treated, then Scoopers doesn't deserve anyone's business. We will never be back.
