This whacky store/museum is a must see when in the area. From snarky hoodies to beautiful seashells of all sizes to souvenirs to bizarre artifacts, this place is so fun. If you check in on Yelp, you'll get a tiny free shell or a piece of taffy. I bought this amazing tiger shell and postcards. I probably spent 90 minutes here looking at everything. I would have bought nautical decor they have like large glass floats had I not been in the middle of moving. Friendly employees added to the mirth.

Marsh's is a very quirky place, and is definitely worth a visit. Even if admission wasn't free, it would be worth paying a $5 for a $10. Despite Marsh's being billed as a museum, it's primarily a shop, but there is a lot of museum fodder around the periphery and tucked into corners. Their selection of sea shells is impressively vast. I had no idea what I was in for when I entered, but was surprised to see "Jake the alligator man". I'd seen this curiosity in documentaries over the years, just didn't realize it was located at Marsh's. I also was very impressed to see actual Orchestreons, bagatelles, and old-timey nickel peep show machines. I'd recommend a visit if you're in Long Beach. Definitely a unique and fun place to visit.

What a fun and unique place to visit! We had so much fun browsing the aisles looking at the everything from the relics, to the unexpected, and all the merch in between. Could be overwhelming if your are claustrophobic as we got there early in the morning and it was busy and when we walked passed again a few hours it looked packed! I can assume if you work here, you will never be bored. I absolutely recommend going here, multiple times.

Back in Mar 2022, I was on a road trip from Southern Cal to up north through San Francisco, CA, Portland, OR, and Discovery Bay, WA. I swung on by Long Beach, WA on my way back to Portland. Got a chance to shop at Marsh's Free Museum while I was waiting for my food from Captain's Bob Chowder. What a wonderful find! Honestly, I didn't know this store's name until after I got home and googled it for Yelp purposes LOL. Tons of old antiques and other neat stuff in here... bought myself a nice golden "Bee Happy" mug and a couple coasters "Love You To The Moon & Back" and "Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear". Wished I got another "Bee Happy" mug so I can give it to the love of my life when I meet him LOL. Maybe I'll meet him somewhere or at Marsh's one fine day when I return to Long Beach, WA... LOL! Give Marsh's Free Museum a shop when you're in Long Beach, WA. It is truly free... no admission fee! It is indeed a museum. You can spend hours looking around in here... as for buying, that's another story LOL. Happy Looking and Shopping!

This place is so much fun! There is so much to look at not just to buy. There are old fortune machines and fun little games. Outside is the World's Largest Frying Pan! On the street close to Marsh's Free Museum and the World's Largest Chopsticks! .... Would only be better if they cooked off of the pan at least 1x a year.

GREAT place. It does deserve the caps. Lots of souvenirs and mystics of the world. A two headed cow, some weird aligator boy, and tons of great shirts. I got my fortune told my Madame Fortuna and it was spot on legit. Also, I found a nice couple of gifts for my sister's garden. A dried starfish and one of those Japanese floaty balls for nets. Highly recommend.

attention! Bring a giant bag of coins nickels dimes and quarters! What a cool spot! I knew I wanted to stop in here as soon as I drove by so while taking a lunch break I decided to try this and Captain Bob's chowder next door. Captain's Bob's was closed but Marsha's free museum was open. As soon as I walked in I was in awe. I wish that I had known I needed to take a bag full of change to play with all of the vending machine slash coin operated machines that they had next time I will definitely do it right. Lots to see and do definitely a spot to take the kids or a fun date night.

Museum, or gift shop? Some of both but mostly the latter. Come here to buy your tourist trinkets.

I love this store every year. But lately the out of order signs, dusty shelving, and chaotic merchandise is a bit much.

Fun store and the staff is really nice! Museum throws you off a bit but the prices are really good here for souvenirs.

Jake the Alligator Man blew my mind, as did the other sideshow attractions and old time photographs adorning the walls.

Terrible experience -- be very cautious…read more Be careful using your credit card at this place. I purchased a $10, and somehow a recurring $-0 monthly charge was later added to my card without my knowledge or consent. Now I have to go through the hassle of disputing it with my credit card company. I strongly recommend avoiding this place, or at the very least, paying cash and closely reviewing your receipts and statements.

Seaside, Seaside, Seaside... I moved there when I was three, and if you grew up around that salty…read moreair and carnival glare, you know exactly what Funland means to me. My mom was a die-hard Ms. Pac-Man slinger back in the day, and my brother and I would burn through quarters like we were trying to keep the Oregon economy alive. The place still carries that old-school magic classic skee-ball lanes, the photo booth that's been snapping goofy faces for decades, and enough blinking lights to make a grown man feel like a kid again. Old games, new games bells ring, tickets sing, and nostalgia swings. Now these days your fun card works over at the rides too, and let me tell you something about those bumper cars. The track looks small... but those little devils spin, bang, and ricochet like a bar fight on roller skates. Fast, loud, and chaotic in other words, perfect. I always run a few laps there, but this trip I talked my wife into the Tilt-A-Whirl, that beautiful old beast that feels like it's been spinning folks silly since the 1920s. You know the one with the operator stick push forward and she flies, pull back and those cars start spinning like a politician dodging questions. By the time it really got going, we were holding on for dear life. I was laughing. My wife... not so much. Now I'll admit something bittersweet. Seaside isn't quite the little carnival town it used to be. They tore out the old roller coaster, a bunch of rides, and even that little snow cone shack at the end. These days it's more shops, more crowds, more folks than a church picnic on payday. But even with all that... Seaside still holds the crown on the Oregon coast. The beach cuts the wind just right, the Prom is perfect for a long walk, Broadway's buzzing, and the Turnaround still feels like the center of the whole show. So here's the rhyme and the reason, the simple seaside truth: Walk the Prom, hear the gulls cry, smell the salt in the air. Play some games, crash some cars, spin 'til you don't care. Drop a few bucks, laugh all day, let the good times expand Because a trip to Seaside just ain't complete... without a little time at Funland. Five stars. Still the king of coast-town fun.
