    Freshly made flour tortillas.
    Oscar C.

The flour tortillas made her are PHENOMENAL!!!!! Get them early morning while they're still warm and I promise you'll finish the dozen before the day is done. $4.99 per bag. Nice and chewy and doughy. Smell good too.

The best tortillas you can purchase.

Every time we come to visit my son in San Diego, we have to come here to get the tortillas alone. This place has a wonderful selection of meat, produce, and specifically ingredients for the Hispanic family. It is always so clean and the people are always friendly. I wish there was one near me!

Al pastor street tacos - 3 for $5.99. Delicious!

Carnival is awesome! Tons of selection of freshly prepared foods, a great bakery and fresh, handmade corn & flour tortillas. The prices are super reasonable and the store is nice and clean. Bonus points for the covered parking lot

    Carnitas beans and rice

I was hungry for Carnitas in the area and asked a friend for a recommendation. Without hesitation he suggested Carnival. The woman that took my order was friendly and attentive. I ordered carnitas beans and rice and corn tortillas all were very good. At $13.99 it was more than what I want to pay for an everyday dinner . But that's Purdy much par for the course these days. I'll count it as my splurge meal of the week.

Día de los Reyes Day is celebrated on January 6th.  Each person cuts into the rosco and the lucky one gets the part with the plastic figurine of baby Jesus.   I visited Carnival Market to get some Rosco de Reyes.  King bread starts with a bread base like Day of the Dead bread.  Nice and moist with a mild flavor.  Loved the sugary glaze on top with added some sweetness and the dried fruit which added a fruity sweetness.  I love this bread and look forward to getting it again next year. I also tried some other items. Concha was soft and mild flavored.  Sugar glaze on top gave this treat a delicious sweet flavor.   Fresh tortillas were still warm when I brought them home and tried them.  Soft and had a delicious mild flavor. Fried fish was a battered white fish.  I liked the mild flavor and the crispy batter.  Excellent value. Bbq ribs were fall off the bone tender.  Tasted like they were baked.  Very mild flavor without the sauce.  I liked the sauce which had a sweet bbq flavor. Rotisserie chicken was fall off the bone tender. Nice flavor.  Comparable to other supermarket rotisserie chickens.  So far Costco is my favorite as the freshness and flavor is the best I've had from a market. Fried drumsticks had a crunchy skin and tender juicy chicken.  I liked the mild fried flavor.  Excellent value. The meats were on par with meats from other Mexican markets I've tried.  The tortillas tasted much better than the pre packaged tortillas you see in major grocery store chains.

A wonderful establishment. Won't say anything about their sales but they got some great ones. My girls love coming here with me.

I know the store opens at 6:30 but what time does ceviche get put out?

Usually if I go around 10-11am they are out.

Do they have tortillas made from nopales?

I don't think they do I was there on Tuesday this week. You might try Northgate, Vallarta, or Manolo's and have some luck.

    Pricing of tortillas?

Made in store, corn tortillas are 1.99 per kilo (2.2 lbs.) So fresh that the packages are warm when you take them off of the rack.

    Do they have Colombian products?

Anyone know why they put in the covered parking? Too much snow?

Solar panels? That's my best guess.

I managed to find a cart. Loaded up with ice went to self check out, which is very simple. They had a handheld device to scan my bag of ice times 15. I was on my way Glad there's a Ralph's nearby that made this excursion. Very simple.

R that they were going to treat certain customers in a nasty and vile way And it's awful how management condones this behavior Because the employees are very comfortable in their actions It is not okay to make someone feel uncomfortable or unaccepted. In an establishment that you don't own it's also ashame that the machine where I put in my phone number and pin Number tells me thank you for being a value customer across the screen i've never heard that from an employee since my shopping experience at the store. my whole career was in customer service and it would bothered me if I knew that I didn't put my all into making a customer feel satisfied. Or at least appreciated.love thy neighbor is a commandment not a suggestion Do better Ralph's replacing people with robots is starting to sound like a good idea.

This particular Trader Joe's is located in the Liberty Station area and is beautiful! It's off the main street before entering deep into the hustle of shopping and eateries. We quickly checked it out and found our favorites! This trip, we bought some dips, chips, quick frozen meals, coconut water, smoked Gouda cheese and crackers, ice coffee concentrate, heavy whipping cream, and apples. They have their own parking lot. It seemed extremely busy and crowded. The employees were very friendly and helpful as always. They had samples out that day. I always loved sampling the newest thing. They had packages of the cooked bacon bits. They offered on top of a salad. It was very tasty!

Disappointing and Blame-Shifting Service at Checkout…read more I had a very upsetting customer service experience at the Point Loma location. While waiting at the register, the previous customer finished paying but stayed in the lane taking extra time to organize his money, completely blocking space while my items were already scanned and piling up. I didn't make a scene, yell, or say a word, I simply quietly shook my head in slight frustration while waiting. Instead of managing the lane or maintaining a neutral stance, both the cashier and the bagger immediately turned their attention onto me. They made defensive, unsolicited, and dismissive remarks ("he's just a kid," "he's a paying customer"), effectively turning a minor delay into a situation where I was made to feel like the "bad guy" for simply standing there waiting to pay. As a paying customer, being publicly judged and belittled by store staff over a completely harmless, silent reaction was deeply unprofessional. I spoke directly with the store manager after the incident to report this behavior, but the staff's conduct was unacceptable for a store that usually prides itself on friendly service.
