Both my husband and I have been with his practice for 5 years. Everyone is kind and professional and efficient. Appts are easy to make. Waiting time, if any, is brief. They listen to what you say, you're never made to feel rushed, they give you options, and they guide you to the best path of treatment. Labs can be drawn there with results given within appropriate times. Return calls are always completed. Dr. Salvi is warm and friendly and shares himself as a real person. He is the first doctor we've had in a long time who really seems to give you his full, caring attention. He contributes useful practical information in a discussion and brings good common sense into his practice as well as medical expertise. After seeing 9 doctors and specialists within 12…read moremonths, I was ready to give up on the idea that there were any medical professionals left who would care to help me, let alone just listen to me before making medical decisions. Prior to my first appointment, I made the decision that Complete Family Wellness would be my last attempt at finding a medical professional to help me. The owner, and my provider Helen Muchow FNP-BC, FPA, APRN, MSN, changed my quality of life from 5% to 80% in my FIRST visit. We are currently working on the other 20% (mostly due to medical insurance roadblocks). Helen was not only professional, but actually LISTENED to every word I was saying, then took that information and developed a care plan WITH me, instead of just telling me what to do and sending me on my way with a prescription. I've been seeing Helen for over a year now, and her quality of care has not changed, even as she has taken over her staff's caseload as she is on maternity leave. I was a medical provider myself, so I understand the back-end (billing, insurance, etc). She does not rush through my appointment, like every other doctor/specialist I've seen, just to be able to see more patients in a day= more $$= $$ above "doing no harm." Most insurance companies will pay a higher rate for the first 15 minutes of an appointment, and a lower rate is paid for any time over 15 minutes. Helen takes the time to get her job done- above and beyond! Complete Family Wellness also has an on-site lab, so most standard blood work, and other labs can be done right away, during your appointment. Did I mention? Complete Family Wellness also has MOBILE services! They will come to you, in the comfort of your own home. Additionally, Helen is a veteran and accepts military insurance (Tricare West), which many providers do not accept due to Tricare's very low rates- yet another way she demonstrates how dedicated she is in helping people, and not treating us like cogs. On top of all this, Complete Family Wellness's staff are professional, very prompt in responding to any problems that come up between appointments, and make you feel like you matter!

Even my insurance company says they've never dealt with anyone like her. Sadly, I fear my FPN Jamie Basten also did not have my wellbeing in mind judging from her unresponsiveness to my medication needs. Helen is a no go, too. This isn't for Dr Giese my son went to him years ago but this review is for a physicians assistant…read moreand all of a sudden him charging my grandson's visit who does not have any insurance billing it as difficult visit even though we've been going there for a year so if it's difficult or extended then they can charge you more but it's never been difficult and it's never been extended ever and we've been going there a year all of a sudden someone ups the bill originally they told me it was $125 for self pay but when you get in there they surprise you with a list and then make sure you have it when you leave and they charge you upfront $125 and if anything else is done then they charge you for that later well guess what my grandson never been sick to have it be billed as a difficult or extended visit is exactly the same as it was one year ago and every time after that that we go for his medication refills for ADHD, but anyway they bill you after the fact a bill comes in the mail apparently I was supposed to pay it while I was still in there but I stuck my head into the tiny little office and asked if that was it and the girl said yes I said no other payments right and she said no but loan behold I got a bill in the mail!! Billed me For an extended visit which there was not no extended visit he was only in there for five minutes with the doctor and they did a weird thing there were two nurses we had to see one was outside the room she did his blood pressure n weight most places they do your weight but they don't normally do your blood pressure while standing up or sitting outside the room it was just plain weird maybe trying to use the time trying to use that as an extended visit I have no idea!! The billing department is trying to justify this extra charge which by the way they're not very nice at the billing department either I asked them to speak to the doctor because he would know for sure it was not an extended visit plus I know that my Apple phone knows for sure that we weren't in there for an extended visit! Nor was it a difficult visit we've been going there a year he's been on the same two medicines ever since for his ADHD Focalin it used to be Vyvanse now we just stick with Focalin because you can't get Vyvanse very often anymore they're always out of it everywhere it's a popular medication for ADHD so they're telling me and I looked this up there was a new code that went into effect last January they're saying it was five years ago but according to what I read it was a year ago for Medicare well he's definitely not on Medicare he's 13 so they're using that code for the difficulty he wasn't sick it was exact same visit to refill his medication which we've been doing for a whole year which nothing new is added everything was exactly the same from a year ago but yet now we have to pay more it's not a lot more but it's the whole trying to scam me that I can't take!!!!! Beware run n find a diff medical clinic !! the other reviews that I've read are not good especially the front office!! I had dealings with the front office upfront I wanted to go in the front door like normal doctors offices but they told me that if you were seeing the PA you had to go in the back door they weren't too bad up front that's why I actually want to switch I didn't wanna deal with the lady in the back, so I go in the back door we see the PA you have to park in the back and you have to go in the back door and then you have to visit someone that's very she's not friendly put it that way the other girl is she's very friendly. But it's just not a nice welcoming situation. The doctors office said I used to take my grandson to over in Michigan it was so much different and so much better I wish we could still use that office there's just something so off about this office I wouldn't recommend it at all I only do it because of his medication and we've established with them a year ago The doctor is nice but I don't know why he didn't listen to my calls when I called the billing department I asked them to tell him that my Apple iPhone says it was not an extended visit. I've been going to Woman to Woman in Crystal Lake since I was 15 (7 years) and saw 2 or 3 providers who completely ignored specific concerns I tried to address that were severely affecting my life daily life. It was because of the poor experience I had with previous providers here that I realized I wanted to go into women's healthcare in nursing. By chance (earliest appointment available) I saw Rachel Kinnas, NP, last year, and she inspired me EVEN MORE to go into women's health care. Not only is she clearly incredibly knowledgeable, but she also has amazing bedside manner, ethics, and has made me feel like she genuinely cares. She's the first provider to acknowledge the health concerns I've had the past 7 years, which I started to brush off myself, as valid and like they never should've been ignored. She's incredible at what she does and I'd recommend her to anyone!

I've been seeing Dr. Fu for years. I've also been to a couple of other dermatologists and for most…read morethings, I'll take Dr. Fu over the others. Here's why: 1) Yes, Dr. Fu's office is a bit of a hole in the wall, and he works alone, but that means I'm not paying for ambiance and an office staff of PAs instead of an MD. 2) Dr. Fu is a no-nonsense, get it done kind of guy. He doesn't "freeze" lesions, or radiate them, which I've had done by others, and which then return for the MD or PA to "freeze" or radiate again and again. He gets out his scalpel and eliminates the problem right away. 3) he's "been around the block" a few times and is familiar with all kinds of conditions on all kinds of skin types. 4) He focuses on the medical aspects of dermatology. Most of the other dermatologists I've seen have a cosmetological emphasis and are trying to upsell you to coolsculpting or botox or some other superficial treatment. 5) He's available -no long waits to get in, and he follows up with you. 6) He often provides patients tubes of the topical treatments he prescribes. 7) Dr. Fu accepts Medicare and most insurances. 8) Dr. Fu sees his patients as fellow human beings, without pretense. It's true he doesn't offer more specialized procedures (like Mohs surgery, which requires an on-site lab and histopathological technician for real-time thin-section microscopic analysis). But he does send almost everything he removes to a lab to verify the diagnosis.

One more thing to add to my review. Billing was a nightmare too! Maybe because they don't use…read morecomputers (only paper...its 2013, really??!!). They have been sending me bills for 6 months saying insurance rejected. First time, they had typed in the wrong ID number, then they resubmitted and I still got bills. The insurance company paid them but they kept telling me they didn't get anything. Finally after I did all the leg work, the insurance company had to take over to prove they had paid. Dr Fu's office was very rude and never tried to help by offering to call and talk to the insurance company. Disaster! Do NOT waste your time... pick another doctor!!!
