Our laptop recently received a pretty good bump and wouldn't power up. My wife dropped it off and…read morepaid $45 to have it looked at. They said it was a motherboard issue and that a hairline crack was found. Our options would be to pay $250 for a new motherboard or $115 to have the hard drive backed up onto a thumb drive. My reply... No way! I took it apart myself and found 4 ribbons disconnected. When they reassembled the laptop, these were left off. I know this because I had opened it myself before taking it to the "professionals" for a diagnosis. I pulled everything apart and reassembled it, connected the battery and voila, it works. In fact, this review is being typed on the same machine that just a few hours ago needed a new motherboard. I inspected the motherboard on both sides looking for this "hairline" fracture, but found nothing. My opinion is that they either know nothing or tried to deceive us. I'll never trust them for technical help. They have lost any possibility of future business and I'll be sure to steer others away.

Nick told me it would cost $75 for a virus wipe. he said "ill give you a call tomorrow and let you know what's going on with it but we should have it back to you within 2 days." Day 2: 5:30 came and I hadn't heard yet so I decided to give them a call to see what they have found out. No answer on either line so left a voicemail. Day 3: call and leave yet another voicemail at 10:30am. and call again at 5:00pm but don't leave a voicemail this time. Day 4: call yet again and no answer, I call a friend of mine and she was driving by the shop anyways so when she saw the open sign was on she stopped in for me. Nicks mom was at the counter and I was told she went to the back and was not able to locate the computer because there where "so many back there" but she would leave a message for Nick. Day 5: I receive a call from this same woman in the evening and she tells me the computer has been located and I would receive a call to pick it up tomorrow. GREAT! Day 6: I receive a text from Nick saying that they are working on the computer now but if its not done by 6 tonight that it could be picked up tomorrow AFTERNOON. He also asked if I wanted the windows updated which comes free with the $85 virus removal....WAIT A MINUTE we are well past the 2 days originally told and you are now $10 over what was originally quoted?!? I was not a happy girl so I called him on the phone directly to clear up the confusion. He told me "fine ill do the $75 PLUS tax!"...okay no problem...Also I asked why I haven't received any calls back and now it may be another day or two before it was finished and he instantly got furious with me and said "DO YOU WANT US TO FIX UR COMPUTER OR NOT! OTHERWISE COME PICK IT UP" every time I tried to speak he would cut me off and ask the same question. I eventually told him i would come pick it up today. Sure enough the computer was never once turned on or worked on and he was unwilling to tell me what all the misleading info was about. He seemed stressed and in my opinion does not seem like the kind of person that can deal with stress or ANY kind of pressure. Sure he may have been busy....but if you give a customer a deadline and you are unable to stick to that give them a call or better yet answer there voicemail messages. i called Tech Mob in Snohomish and sure they are more expensive but where so kind and understanding of my now emergent need of having a working desktop. i drop it off in the morning and they promised to CALL if any plans change and a day to pick it up. Now why couldn't i have the same respect of communication? i understand things can get busy but i would have appreciated the update, not feeling ignored, and feel my computer is lost in the back somewhere. This shop owner has terrible customer service skills in my opinion and yelling at ur customers over the phone is not gonna get you referrals.

While I paid him $315 to update Windows 11 which was difficult because of my older hardware, it wasn't the initial reason for my call. My Outlook / Gmail issue was the reason I called which he never resolved. In the end, he shocked me by turning out to be terribly undependable. During his fix time, my all-important Address Book was lost and couldn't be found. I was eventually able to recover it myself and called him back to finish completing the setup. I left (5) voicemail messages to call me back, but he never did. (He had also told me he'd call me at 9am when he had to cancel our appt. When it got late and no call, I called him. He said he just woke up, that he'd call back in an hour because he needed his coffee first. He didn't think it would take long to fix. I had an appt that I ended up missing as I waited for him to call me back. Finally at 10:05am, and still waiting for his call, I ended up having to call him. It took him more time than he estimated and he never resolved the problem(s).) Finally I called NW Tech Expert and proceeded to leave them (3) messages explaining what happen and to please call me. I even asked on one message if Antonio was ok since I was surprised he never returned any of my calls. I've been waiting now for (3) days for them to call back and still nothing. It seemed they have both blown me off and I have no idea why. I believe you can now see that they are not trustworthy. Obviously if they find your task too difficult for them to solve, they'll easily abandon you without a word!

Went to the website, saw the phone number, called it expecting to get an answering machine after 5 pm on a Friday night and my call was answered. With my issue, the diagnostic check was at no charge. he got back to me quickly with the found issue and my options. There were updates as parts came in and processes were finished. The service was faster than expected. They were able to collect and save a lot of data from the old hard drive for me. Great communication. Ended up, upgrading my laptop with new larger hard drive and more ram memory. When I picked up my computer, all repairs and upgrades were explained to me in detail . I was ready to buy a new laptop for $1500 but, this was less than half the price of a new one and I ended up with a better computer than it was before. My laptop works better than ever! He has excellent hours including evenings and weekends, which is great for me because I can't ever escape work during the regular business day. Did I mention how reasonable his services are? $40 per hour, flat! I've paid a couple hundred dollars in the past for work that I'm certain took a maximum of 30 minutes to do. Jeff is honest, thorough, and friendly. He doesn't try to nickel and dime you or sell you something you don't need. In fact, he's a big proponent of open source (free) software and has helped me select programs that are really useful. I have two Macs and he solved my wireless networking problems, selected and installed an external hard drive for my documents, music, and photos, set up a wireless connection between my iTunes and my speakers, even advised me on the best peripherals for my price range. His service doesn't stop when he leaves your house, either. If he finds something that he thinks will be useful for you, he'll send you a link and advise in an email. I'm so glad I stumbled upon his Yelp listing. I was about to pay a lot more for half the service. It also feels good to support a local business.
