First, I asked about changing my keypad. Their response, "we don't have Mac parts like that. You can buy a keypad from here." Ok. Next, I asked if they can fix the problem with my internal mic because my students can not hear me when during class on Zoom. They did not offer to look at it to see what might be the problem and told me that I could buy an external microphone." Without even confirming the exact problems my internal mic is having. I mean, I was not even asked to open the MBA just so we could take a quick look together. Instead, they told me to go to their Tukwilla store, (cause that's where repairs happen) and that labor is $95 an hour). Their care was at best, uninterested to completely nonplussed with anything I had to ask. What a total bummer. The two men didn't give a fvk about my questions but suggested I buy products from them. This place came highly recommended and not only will I never give these people my money but I will also never recommend anybody to waste their time here unless you look like them. They may even ask you to turn on your laptop and show them what's going on with your computer if you look like them. But I straight up got the nicca treatment. Oh well. A little over a week ago, my cat decided to water test my laptop. Long story short, a glass of water spilled into (!) my laptop. The laptop sat immersed in this pool of water for nearly 20 hours. Everything was complete toast. Although most of my files are in the cloud, especially the most important ones, I decided there might be the occasional file or folder that I might not notice tomorrow or even a year from now. I decided it would be best to retrieve the contents of the drive on the laptop for peace of mind. I left the laptop with them to do an assessment first. That assessment was ~$80. After their assessment, they indicated that the contents of the drive were retrievable and gave me an estimate of $400 to retrieve the contents of the drive (the $80 would apply to that figure). I decided it was worth the cost, if for nothing more than that elusive peace of mind. I also needed a drive to put the contents on (or provide my own). Since I didn't have one, and didn't want to bother with purchasing a 3rd party drive, they charged me $140 for a Toshiba Portable Storage device. So, for about $600 (w/ tax) I got everything off the lost drive. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I go back? Hell yeah.

The service was faster than expected. They were able to collect and save a lot of data from the old hard drive for me. Great communication. Ended up, upgrading my laptop with new larger hard drive and more ram memory. When I picked up my computer, all repairs and upgrades were explained to me in detail . I was ready to buy a new laptop for $1500 but, this was less than half the price of a new one and I ended up with a better computer than it was before. My laptop works better than ever!
