I'm very impressed with this facility…read more This facility is state-of-the-art with beautiful architecture, wonderful staff, and amazing technology. First, don't try to park anywhere. Use the valet service at the front door. (It costs the same as parking at the ramp yourself.) And it only takes a few minutes for them to bring your vehicle back to you when you're done for the day. There are concierge staff milling around everywhere, ready to help you out if you get lost. The all have matching vests and notebook computers on shoulder straps. They can look nearly anything up, including patient specific information like appointment locations and doctor names. Check-in on the floors is usually pretty speedy and efficient. They have multiple digital podiums that are super flexible. They seem to quickly add & subtract staff when needed to keep up with patient traffic. The check-in staff frequently give you a notebook for answering pre-appointment questions. Done with the questions? Leave it anywhere. They'll find it and pick it up. They also give an RFID badge that lets them know exactly where you're located. In the bathroom when they call you? They know where you are. They also take your photo and they know what you look like. Pretty cool. The lobbies are all spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. They also offer complimentary coffee & tea. Nice! If that isn't enough for you, run downstairs and visit the little cafe on the first floor. The medical staff are all great. I've seen many, many people and I have always been treated well. Since many of the docs are also professors, they're up on all the latest information, treatments, research studies, and equipment. Many times you also get to see medical students, medical residents, or laboratory people. Last but not least, when you leave, you often need to visit the scheduling person. They're located in a round cubby outside of each clinic. Again, I'm impressed with the efficiency and the organization. Unfortunately, I had to see Dr. Ondrey about a problem that ended up being tongue cancer. I eventually had tongue surgery and he got me fixed up. He saved my life...or at a minimum, gave me a few more years. Thanks to everyone at the University of Minnesota Clinics! -Daddy Maxx Retro

I had an appointment today after waiting WEEKS for it, and Dr. Posey wasn't in the office. I WASN'T…read moretold this when I checked in. I was seen by a PA who had no idea what was going on in my ear. I was told Dr. Posey was running late, but then they switched to her having a "life saving emergency." There were other patients waiting to see her, and they weren't told she wasn't there. It feels very much like a ponzi scheme. Plus, these so-called reviews are very suspect. Take notice that the Dr Posey reviews that have "other reviews" had very few. Like 2-6 reviews, to make them look legit. Something fake going on here, imo. AI generated reviews? This PA that's being substituted for an ENT didn't even know how to put the scope in my ear!! FOR REAL!! I am requesting my copay returned and will notify Blue Cross not to pay her. Take heed. I will be filing a complaint elsewhere, too. Something extremely fishy is going on with this place. They wanted me to make another appointment! Are you kidding me?! Duplicate billing. The Attorney General needs to check into Dr Posey. Another patient there said this was his 3RD attempt trying to see Dr. Posey bcuz his 2 other appointments were "no shows" by her too. One red flag is enough for me, but hearing his story is in part why I will move forward with my complaint. This shouldn't be allowed EVER.

Avoid Dr. John Boone - deeply disappointing care…read more After many visits where my son's ear fluid continued to worsen, Dr. Boone did not recommend any action beyond waiting. The fluid eventually burst through his eardrum. Only at that point did he recommend ear tubes--despite earlier saying a small incision could also be an option. During visits, I found his manner to be dismissive and condescending, and he even raised his voice at us. Four weeks after surgery, one tube had moved into my son's middle ear and was trapped when the eardrum healed, while the other appeared to be at the wrong angle according to other doctors we consulted. Dr. Boone did not address these concerns, ended the appointment abruptly, and no hearing test was performed. Subsequent evaluations by other specialists indicated that my son's hearing was worsening. I was also surprised when Dr. Boone suggested placing another tube in the same ear without first removing the one that was already trapped. In my view, following the original advice could have risked further damage. We ultimately went to another clinic, where my son received care that helped him. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I learned of Primary ENT through a friend who had a positive experience here…read more I had a consult at Primary ENT this morning and was very pleased with the care I received. The office is a year old and very clean and thoughtfully designed, with a kid area in the waiting room as well as in the exam room. They also had a calming ocean video playing in the exam room. The PA I met with was knowledgeable and a good listener, patiently answering my questions and providing helpful explanations and guidance. I also appreciate that you don't have to wait months and month to be seen for other concerns. I absolutely love that this office allows walk ins and day-off testing for things like strep and sinus infections. Knowing they can fit you into their schedule removes the stress of trying to get care when you're sick! I will 100% be back for both myself and my kids.
