The store is packed with any genre of sheet music and books (and TAB form) for every instrument you can imagine (banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, vocals, guitar, piano, brass instruments, woodwinds, etc all of them). They sell accessories such as guitar strings, tuners, straps, picks, music stands, and some acoustic guitars and banjos as well. Vinyl records and small musical gifts line the walls, it's so fun to explore and each time you visit you'll find something new, as there's so much selection. If there is something they don't have in stock, they will order it for you. The vibe is very relaxed and they are never pushy, you can look around for 30 min alone exploring if you want and just ask if you need anything. Love this place and can't recommend it enough, it's also a vintage store with history dating back to the 1950's so it has such cute charm and decor, it's an experience that online shopping can't give. We had three choices and price points, and I selected the "student" one which was the least expensive, and wow, this instrument sounds so much better and is in great shape! We were in and out of the shop in 20 minutes. The salesperson helping us was knowledgeable and friendly and we were able to find the accessories we needed as well (shoulder rest sponge and rosin). She's been playing it for 3 months with no issues and it doesn't go out of tune quickly like her cheap one. Billing is automatic and easy, with no mistakes. Such a great experience - we'll definitely be back when it's time to upgrade to the next one!

I wasn't prepared for the size of this place-it's far more than just a "music store." He had a gleeful look of awe as he admired the selection of brass instruments and was able to play a few of them too. He'll be ready to make a purchase soon, so he wants to know for sure which one is just right. If you don't quite know what you're looking for, or need some elevated service, you might find someone, you might not. It's a more laid-back approach to customer service-we had to seek someone out for help. But I suppose I prefer that over an in-your-face sales person trying to close a deal.

I played as a young/adolescent child and hadn't touched the keys for close to 18 years when I decided to pick it back up. Francisco is a wonderful teacher. He is patient and has a fun approach when teaching young students. As an adult player- I'm surprised at how quickly I've been able to relearn. This is with limited practice time, as I work full-time and travel. Francisco incorporates well known pieces into my lessons based on my level at that time, and it makes it fun to progress. The lab setting is very different from how I took lessons as a child and I much prefer it. Even transitioning from in-person to the zoom lessons (thanks covid) has been seamless and our lessons have continued uninterrupted. All in all, both my daughter and I have been enjoying our musical experience. We even played a duet for our last recital this past spring. Advice for any adults considering to delve into learning an instrument...learning as an adult is very different- but in my opinion in a good way! I look forward to sitting down at the piano, as it's a break from my usual day. It helps with memory, and engaging different parts of your coordination that you don't even realize have gone sluggish. If you are on the fence...go for it!

He took the time to explain what he was going to do (or not do if not needed). After it was done he explained what my guitar could still use, and what I personally could do with brief instructions on how to do it... I can promise you the guitar center tech guys wont tell you how to save money like that. Hell, they were trying to convince me that nylon strings were too hard for me to string up lol. (true story) I could go on and on, I brought in a dirty guitar that had been sitting in a closet for years, and picked up a nice shiny guitar even after I told him not to worry about cleaning it up. Especially since the job I had him do was so small. If you are looking for somewhere friendly and affordable to have your guitar/bass worked on.... you found it. Everyone I spoke to was really nice, and I was able to get my flute serviced quickly. The instrument repair person is there on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They did a pretty good job, but definitely didn't polish my flute, which I was kind of disappointed about, especially since I asked it to be thoroughly cleaned (this was also indicated on my service ticket they typed up). I was able to polish it myself after I got it back with a silver polishing cloth that I had to purchase. They have a huge variety of instruments, accessories, and books! It does seem to be more catered to guitars/percussion, but they still had a decent selection for woodwinds and brass. They also have tons of teachers that do private lessons. I will definitely be returning if I need anymore repairs done, as they did a nice job with those!
