I do not recommend this dentist office. You can find better care and better staff elsewhere. Not a great experience here. When I left them a similar review on Google, they actually claimed that I was never a patient there even though I had been to their office several times. 05-16-2025 Dear Dr. Garrett and Dr. Vera, Thank you so much for the individual and attentive care you have provided me for my extreme oral condition created by my radiation treatment for throat cancer. It has been quite the journey over the last year or so. It was rewarding today to leave with a full mouth of working teeth. Wow, eight years and I can eat a steak again! On 04/07/2022 at 10:45am I spoke with JoVonna front desk person aka "Answered the Phone" at Carolina Bright Smiles is "ABSOLUTELY a JOKE" I was almost in tears from been in so much pain and told her I needed to get a tooth pulled ASAP so she kind of made a "pussh" sound like " What Ever " and put me on HOLD for OVER 36:00 minutes !!! I read other reviews and almost ALL OF THEM are about the people at the FRONT DESK. OVER 11 BAD REVIEWS !!! I called her back and told her I was going to write a review about her NOT CARING ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS, and she makes the same "Pusshh" sound and said hey " YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO" If these Doctors care about there BUSINESS or the CUSTOMERS they need to PROVE it and "FIRE" these trouble maker at the FRONT DESK ... I have been to many dentists over the years and I am so glad that I was referred to Carolina Bright Smiles. Dr Garrett and company are the greatest..... professional, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr Garrett takes as much time as needed to assure that everything is JUST RIGHT. Looking for a new dentist.....keep looking. This practice used to be amazing but in my most recent experience has gone to a negative star! Incompetent, inefficient and rude front office and no experience in billing and insurance. Sadly, I would never go back to this practice. Awesome dentist No waiting around at your appointment time and Dr Garretts assistant Cameron is the bomb. Professional yet easy going. I've been a patient for years. So have my kids. Have had crowns, bridges, extractions and route canals done. Wouldnt think of going anywhere else. read more

Attention all dental cowards! Finally someone who is compassionate and absolutely gave me the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Garrett and Cameron cannot be topped. Dr. Garrett stopped twice to ask me what had caused my anxiety and how could he make it better. Amazing! Cameron was so competent in her job and so caring she set me at east right away. I was there for an emergency crown repair and he fixed it in one day - working me into his busy schedule and never once making me feel like I was an additional responsibility he had to deal with. Honestly, it was painless - hard to believe. He fit the crown with state of the art computer equipment which meant no more putting the crown on and off and having you constantly give directions through a numb mouth as to how the crown feels. I was amazed. He fitted it once and done. This is the PREMIER dental practice and well worth the trip to Hillsborough. Thanks to all there from the front desk throughout the whole practice. The other review says Carolina Bright Smiles is a Premiere dentist. My experience was the only premier thing was their prices- very high. I started getting a partial made in October . I told them several times it needed to be done by the end of the year. They assured me it would be made in time and if need be they would put a " rush " on it. The dentist talked me into pulling more teeth that I wanted pulled , this delayed things an addition 2 weeks. , plus I got a dry socket infection from it. Very painful ! I was scheduled for an impression Dec 14 after which the desk person told me I would get my partial Jan 6 , 2016 - AFTER my insurance expired. I told her this would not work. She agreed to call the insurance to see if I could still get the partial . She did not call me for 9 days. I called back every day and they did not answer the phone. I called the insurance company to call while I was on the phone, they still did not answer. I called the insurance company 2 more times and they told me I can not get the partial paid for after Dec 31, 2015.( at the rate I was told ) My husband went by to see what was going on. they were there and told him they were " just too busy" to call me back ( after promising to ). They did finally call me ( after my husband told them to )and said it would be the end of January and I could not get the partial at the price I was told and approved for.They never even sent the partial into the lab . So now I have no upper teeth molars to chew with on both sides and I have to try to eat and chew with my just my front teeth. It is frustrating and difficult to eat . Now it will cost me $350 more that I planned to get partial made. A lack of concern and promising things they would never deliver impacted me in a very negative way. I felt I was just a dollar bill walking in the door , no compassion or concern for my situation . read more
