My daughter's car left behind some oil on our driveway so I called them up and ask them if they could check it out and they were so great. They saw us that same day, and then called within like an hour to let us know what the problem was and they fixed it in a very reasonable timeframe and they were so reasonable in price as well. Myra and the team at Carolina Car Care should be proud of themselves. Their customer service is a 10. I have a 2000 Jimmy and she's old but I still love it. I will not use another place. They are kind and understanding. They show their care of this family owned by giving you the best service. They explain everything to you. And their prices are fair. Not like big box car places that rip you off. I just picked up my car and she needed some serious work. I joked with Myra that I think my car has a crush on another car there. Lol. I had a grinding noise coming from the front end. I stopped by Carolina Car Care just before closing and had made an appointment for the next day, even though they were very busy. The woman behind the counter, besides being very nice , was very knowledgeable about the cause. She had a mechanic fix the problem in two minutes, and I was on my way. "Take 5" service in Murrells Inlet totally messed up my car for just a simple oil and coolant change. Had car towed to Carolina car Care 8433570862. They spent 2 hours resting the temperature sensors cause at Take 5 in murrells inlet. Carolina car care is the place to go. read more

Needed a headlamp replacement for my SAAB and was sent here by Firestone after they told me that they couldn't replace my headlamp. Called and made an appointment for the next day. When I arrived the woman behind the desk was very friendly and started looking over my car to make sure it was ready for the repair. A few minutes later the mechanic came over and replaced the headlamp I purchased from Auto Zone the day before. I ended up needing a taillight replaced also and the job was done in about 15 minutes. I was surprised how inexpensive the bill was and ended up leaving a nice tip. I will definitely have my car serviced here in the future. read more

Down from Vermont and the car started running rough. Went there the next day and they were checking it out. Will they were doing their thing, they said it stopped doing it. They told me to get some fuel injector cleaner. Said it is a lot cheaper than going to the dealer and have them do it. The surprising thing was that they didn't charge me anything. Said it fixed itself. Will go there for any services that I will need while down here. read more

Very honest people. Dan has worked on our cars for 20 years. Took our Nissan in with 87,000 miles to get a few things done, including transmission flush. They took it upon themselves to contact Nissan and come to find out, it wasn't necessary until 100,000 miles, so they held off until it's time. My wife and I both drive Toyotas, I have a Tacoma, my wife an Avalon. My wife used to take her car to the dealer for service. When she was told by the dealer an expensive procedure was needed for her power steering, she obtained a backup opinion from Carolina Car Care who told us the service was not needed. That was over two years ago and the car is fine. We have both been very happy with the level of service provided by Carolina Car Care. Carolina Care Care is a family operation and they made you feel a part of their family. I totally trust them with our vehicles. I cannot understand how anyone would give them an unfavorable review.. BUYER BEWARE:CAROLINE CAR CARE IS NO LONGER TRUSTWORTHY. For years I was a regular customer and the work performed was reliable, and price was fair. UNFORTUNATELY, this is no longer true. Recently, they ripped me off twice for parts they did not install or that they installed improperly. I have had to take my car to another certified repair shop to replace the same parts that i had paid Carolina Car Care to install the first time. Because of this i lost over $300. read more

I was from out of town and just pulled in for service as I was having electrical issues with my Town and Country. They were extremely friendly and got us in right away. They hooked it up to the computer and diagnosed the issue right away. Bad battery. Very reasonable in price and helpful even though we were obviously tourists. As mechanics they gave us advice on our vehicle... What to look for and how to handle it if it happens. Great advise about the area. Great business and super friendly! Nothing but good things to say about Bob, Myra and Paul. I had a custom Ford pickup truck completed in PA and shipped to MB for the big Street Rod show in March 2014. I had a number of issues with it and was wondering who I could find to work on it there; anything custom is beyond the realm of most of today's 'auto repair' shops - parts have been modified, adapted, etc... The wife and I just happened upon Carolina Car Care while taking the Inlet Square Drive in Murrell's Inlet (there's a great butcher shop 2 doors down, too!!), and lo/behold, there was a custom '66 Fairlane on one of the lifts as I drove by. EUREKA!! Went back, looked around and saw a bunch of other custom stuff there. I got to talking with Bob, and found out he's a major Ford guy. Long story short - I dropped off my truck, and he found a pile of problems that the "custom" builder had caused or overlooked. To say I'm pleased is an understatement!! Awhile ago, I talked to someone who told me that they had a bad experience with Carolina Car Care. He said that they put the wrong part in his car which caused a leak. We both agree that any auto repair shop that won t allow customers to watch their mechanics work on your car is a place to avoid. As for my experience, Carolina Car Care wanted to replace my car s expansion valve, evaporator, and dryer to fix an A/C leak problem in my car, I went to a specialist and got a second opinion, and he knew more about my make and model. He found that it was the pressure switch that was leaking. On 4/10/09, Carolina Car Care would have charged me about $900 more than my specialist to try to fix my A/C leak, and it would still have leaked after their misdiagnosis fix. It has now been many months since the pressure switch was replaced by my specialist, and my A/C still has no leaks in it. I suggest you get a second opinion on any expensive repairs if you do go there, but I would avoid Carolina Car Care to begin with. Also, when I drove my car to them in 4/09, my left front master switch for all four power windows was working. When I was about to leave, I discovered it wasn t working at all. In addition, I had a bad oil leak from a ruptured hose line that started in their parking lot after their mechanic got in to drive it on to the lift. I assume both were just coincidences. The owner of Carolina Car Care agreed that it was my lucky day that the leak happened while I was at his shop. (4/6/12 Update = the A/C parts they wanted to replace are still working fine!). My experience with their pricing was that while Carolina Car Care s hourly rate was below the local Toyota dealer s rate, when they added THEIR pricing for the A/C parts, the Toyota dealer s overall price to do the job was less! read more
