Dr. Carlson and his team were great! I had a mild emergency situation and they got me into their office within a reasonable time and got all my follow-ups and testing scheduled within reasonable times. Every time I visit, they get me back quickly, see me quickly (though not too quickly -- ie you can tell they stay busy, but you aren't too rushed). They are well organized, very professional and quite friendly. I'm honestly surprised by the other reviews here. They are a doctor's office, not a Burger King. Relative to my experiences with MANY other doctors and groups, this group does it right. I was referred by my PCP. I had a written list of 5 issues to talk about so I would not waste their time. Once I got into the patient room, I said I had that list and she said there was only time to discuss three items so, shocked, I prioritized. Once the nurse practitioner arrived, I managed to get all five in on my own. The NP with - LITERALLY - 1 foot out the open door, did ask me if they covered everything though. At the checkout desk, he said, unless there were any other issues they would not see me for three years. I took that in a bit of a negative way. This was a positive experience from checking in to checking out ! I was treated very kindly and everyone was professional. The nurse explained everything to me in detail and Dr. Romeo took time to listen and wrote a plan of action that was implemented immediately . I have horrible sinus infections upon sinus infection and he took me seriously. I have a follow up appointment after a CT Scan . I needed to take a moment to share from start finish my extraordinary experience with Carolina ENT. I am a transfer patient and I was having trouble getting my records sent from Washington state to Carolina ENT. Donna at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful. I then went in and met with the doctor and I said here's what I think I need, he says let's look further and long story short after Multiple assessments he came up with a solution to a problem I've been dealing with for seven years that could be done without surgery and without a huge amount of intervention. I should say I have had congestion in my ears my whole life and been to many ENTs and no one has ever broken down my problem into pieces that could be tested. So we're testing a theory for the next 30 days and then I'll be back to report on how things worked. The biggest excitement for me is he said I want to find out what is causing your problem. Yay. Like other reviews... Whoever your receptionist is was extremely rude! I called to make a appointment as a new patient and all she said was "they don't get back from lunch until 1:30" and hung up! I wish I would have gotten her name! If you don't want to do your job the polite way pick a different profession!! read more

NO you need a referral I am not part of an HMO they are just trying to increase revenues to the medical groups by not allowing people to come in for an ear problem. WOW just milking the system is certainly what they are doing. No wonder our insurance rates are so high read more

I was referred to this office from my primary doc. This appointment was for a council to help me with options regarding sleep-apnea. Dr Andrew had no information to share and sent me to another ENT that was better fit for my condition and questions. I called the office before my visit, to insure they could help me. I feel robed from this office. This office did nothing for ME. I feel they over charged my insurance 80% of what my insurance covers and left me with the remaining balance to pay out of pocket. I feel this was a get rich scram for the doctors and office. read more

As a small business owner myself, I really *REALLY* give folks the benefit of the doubt. The doctors and medical staff were top notch but the front office staff was just awful, disrespectful, and rude. Pushing the blame and kicking the can down the road seem to be a running theme with their staff. I've gotta echo the other negative reviews, unfortunately. My surgery was a very dangerous one that made me fairly nervous and they didn't seem to care. I have never had this kind of interaction in a professional setting. Customer service is not great. Getting a hold of someone on the phone was an issue, as mentioned in other reviews. read more

My grandmother had an appointment here today. We showed up for her appointment only to be told she couldn't be seen. They called and confirmed the appointment with her two days ago and now deny ever calling, saying instead that she called to reschedule it on the same day. She did not. The woman at the counter wanted to get hateful when we asked what confirmation they even had that it was her that called. Apparently a name and birth date are all this place asks for to make changes to appointments. That is unethical and dangerous. Birthdays are celebrated in this culture and any number of people could know her birthday. I don't know what they screwed up. Did someone else call and change it without consent because of their lax security? Did they overbook and bump her appointment and try to blame her for their error? Did someone entirely different try to reschedule their appointment and someone screwed up which appointment to change? We may never know because we won't be back. read more

I will never go to this office again. I 'm an established patient, but they refuse to give me an appointment for a condition that is a mild emergency. Extremely rude on the phone. They first told me they didn't have appointments until June. I called late May. I called back two days later and they told me no appointments until August. I will go to another practice, and warn everyone to avoid this practice at all costs. read more
