I've been going here for a while and have never had a problem until recently. The receptionist can't even be bothered to answer the phones, they'll either put you on hold for 2 hours or not even pick up. I've been trying to get an appointment for weeks, but there's no other way to make an appointment other than calling! I'm at the point now where I'm just going to walk in and make the appointment. Megan Miller who is in a PA-C position displayed dysfunctional behavior by standing across from me with arms folded. She also feigned incompetence about a skin concern. This second visit she thought I would become reactive when she displayed the same asinine behavior of cutting me off when informing her of my history and symptoms. She was able to show this was intentionally when I would not stoop down to her level. When she could not get me to react to her behavior she did it almost every time I spoke. The PA-C was great. Knowledgeable respectful interested and professional. The process for the biopsy was on point. Now getting the results of your biopsy is a joke. You the patient are at the mercy of the staff to call you and speak personally with you. Phone tag is what you get. As the patient you have no idea when this call is coming thru. As the patient you must sit by the phone to receive this call. As the patient you have no recourse but to play phone tag and pray you can catch a member of the staff at the exact time they are making calls to patients. The phone call is the only preferred method of communication from this facility. In this world of mass communication the return phone call is all they will do. As a human being I just wish I had nothing to do but sit by the phone and wait on this call. Life doesn't work this way. I still do not know my biopsy results. Sure hope the biopsy was not cancerous. I was referred to this practice by my BCBS insurance. I called and asked about billing and coverage... Was told BCBS was infact accepted. So, I made an appointment for my annual skin check. At my appointment the doctor said I had cured my tonail fungus (it was visually apparent -even to me- it HAD NOT been cured) and the doctor did a shave biopsy of a potentially cancerous mole. I received a bill for $230 for this visit - this practice DID NOT accept my insurance. I'm low income AND disabled. To me $230 is the amount I've saved for the walker I desperately need. Shame on you Carolina Skin Care! I ended my relationship with Carolina Skin Care. I am now a patient at Central Dermatology Center in Sanford (919-292-6162). read more

Do not go here. I had a mole excision and when I had the stitches taken out they forgot one. Had an infection, took antibiotics, and went to get the left in stitch out. She couldn't get it. Left it. Also left a nasty hole in my leg. Not happy. read more

Showed up for a skin cancer screening. After waiting 15 minutes was told that I couldn't be seen because I didn't have a physical copy of my insurance card. I had a he digital card on my iPhone but not the physical card. So not only weirdly inefficient but environmentally unsound. After reading the other reviews I am not surprised. Should have read the reviews before scheduling an appt. Big thank you to Carolina Skin Care for wasting my unpaid time off of work. read more

My daughter had a mole removed and was told to come back for a re-incision. The surgeon was great and kept her calm and did a fantastic job stitching her up. However, we went to get the stitches removed and a different person "removed" the stitches. My daughter complained that it itched a lot, which we thought was healing, until 10 days after the removal we are on vacation and see a STITCH poking out her back. Her body was pushing out what the lady had left. She didn't get all of the stitching. Her incision area was red and inflamed. The doctor that does the stitch should remove them so they know which stitching technique they used. Luckily, it wasn't infected and we are able to take care of it without other medical intervention, as my husband is also medical. We loved the surgeon but will not be going back because of the very simple task of stitch removal gone wrong. read more

Arrived 15 minutes early as requested. Stood at the window for 5 minutes until the receptionist acknowledged me. I gave her my name and she then said, "oh, we'll have to reschedule you." I then said, "I just drove a half hour to get here couldn't someone have called me"? She then said that someone left me a voicemail this morning. I then asked for the number it was left on. It was correct so I showed her my phone. NO calls or voicemails left! She then said I can reschedule you for an appointment in July! Her "I could care less" attitude was really making me very mad!! Dr. Klumpar may be an excellent doctor (I can't say since I haven't met him yet) but his staff is NOT! That's an hour of my day wasted just driving back and forth to have some girl, who seemed to want to be anywhere but where she was at, give me a load of attitude!!! Also I bet if I didn't show up they probably would have charged me! Wanted to give it NO STARS but it wouldn't accept so giving it one. read more
