I was so hopeful when I went in. I have been trying for years to get answers. I was there for a bilateral ultrasound and diagnostic mammogram looking answers. After months of referrals needed and unanswered calls. As soon as I said lump that's all they cared about. I have dense tissue. Cancer isn't my concern, never was. I expressed that. I went into the ultrasound hoping to get somere images but they didn't care. They only looked only at the lump and ignored the other possible issues that could be going on. I was told the radiology would come in, but no... just the ultrasound tech and her shadow student. I was dismissed because it wasn't cancer and I left crying. They don't care. It's about the money. For shame VRI, tried calling to schedule a mammogram this morning, was on hold for 10 minutes, nobody bothered to pick up, left a message, tried 3 other times, same thing. Apparently nobody wanted to work this morning. Finally got through to an actual person at 2:00 pm. No apology for the morning, sounded like she was chomping on her gum. I visited this facility as a referral from my OB on 4/6/2021. Brandy was the name of my first ultrasound tech. Upon meeting her, she didn't introduce her name but she was pleasant. When we got into the room and the door was closed, her pleasantries went out the window. She started asking the standard questions about why I was there. After inputting the information in the computer she started making snark comments about my insurance (I provided the facility with both primary and secondary forms of insurance) and whether or not it'll clear. If she wanted to work in billing, she should've applied there. Also, it is not her job to assume that even if BOTH insurance didn't go through that I was not able to pay out of pocket. While explaining my situation she cut me off and told me to lay back on the bed provided, pull my shirt up and pull my pants down. Then, after a while she squirts the fluid on my stomach without warning. And starts looking at the screen. At this point she tells me that I need to have a full bladder. She throws the towel on me and tells me to clean up and come back in an hour after I've drank at least 24 oz of fluid. While all of this is happening, her cell phone device is going off with Snapchat, text messages and email notifications. Completely unprofessional. The upside to this appointment was my second ultrasound tech Ashley, who worked as quickly as she could because I had to use the bathroom. She was nice and the kept me comfortable the whole time. I will be requesting a different location for my next appointment. read more

Many thanks to the caring staff at VRI. I discovered that I am more claustrophobic than I knew. The first time I tried to get an MRI (at another provider), I panicked before I even got all the way in the tube. Kellie and Chad at VRI let me "make friends" with the machine and realize that it was not so terrifying. On my second try, I did not have a bit of trouble. I really can't say enough good things about this practice and the people who work there. read more

i am beyond offended and appalled by the behavior of the staff at this office. i came into the building already nervous to get the recommended scan ordered by my doctor and the staff made it even worse. now, let me clarify, when i refer to staff, i am only referring to the few females at the front desk that i encountered. this doesn't reflect or generalize the entire staff employed at this office, as i did not interact with them all. that being said, i will state that the few i did speak with briefly, and incredibly and namely more so one particular middle aged, light to reddish brown/short haired, woman, was over the top rude, disrespectful and had piss poor manners all in all. she wasn't even pretending to care or fake being nice, polite or friendly when she spoke to me. i literally did and said nothing to deserve to be mistreated and spoken negatively to in any way, shape, form or fashion. i tolerated her underhanded, condescending and blatantly outrageous, threatening and disgusting behavior, tone, demeanor and conversation with me until i gave up and called my doctor's office back, requesting a transfer of my scan to be done at carolina imaging immediately. my doctor's orders on my scan was compounded with the concerns of a possible life threatening diagnosis along with a specific note saying same day-stat. same day scan means something serious is going on but that's not the concern of certain staff at this place! they were rude and i will never ever go back there. and..let me add this..as well... wait time was next to none actually, but i won't go back because of how they talked to me over an insurance coverage/prior authorization issue! they lied to me the first time saying they called to verify my insurance ok'd the scan through my physician's office and told me "we tried contacting them to verify that they've gotten an authorization pushed through from your insurance carrier, but couldn't reach them because they unplugged all of their phones and are closed for lunch from 12 to 1." that made me mad...and confused...because i called 2 days in a row prior to showing up at valley regional, including ten minutes before parking and was told to go ahead and come down there, it'll be fine, and as long as your doctor's office has started on the authorization, we can do it same day...may have a bit of a wait though ..otherwise..no issue. however, when i get there, another unnamed female "supposedly" told the other hateful woman mentioned above that she talked to me on the phone or my mom which was untrue and said i could come in and get scan if i wanted but i'd have to do self pay because my scan wasn't covered through insurance (it was though..thank god carolina imaging got mine done within 2 days.. considering my doctor actually put order in for this scan 2 and a half months ago and upon returning for follow-up appt with my dr....i was asked why i hadn't gotten my scan done from over 8 weeks ago...she said we needed it done then and even more now because of bloodwork results. we need that done asap! she was angered that valley regional never even sent her a message stating they were successful or unsuccessful at any attempts to contact me. never even knew if they really had tried yet i updated my phone number and all contact info without incident the day i got told i needed scan done( close to 3 months before this incident!).. and they still had my other house number because they actually read and repeated it back to me as a contact number!?!?!?!! un-frickin-believable..i swear to god...just too many lies and rudeness. they lack what people in the health and customer service department need in order to take care of human beings! they lose information as well that is highly private...my mother and 3 other individuals refuse to go there and have apparently for over 7 years now. they've mishandled and irresponsibly "lost/misplaced"/ when they claim they supposedly "never received" dr orders or patient information packets and forms with confidential information on them...!?! how is that legal!?!! or possible!?! their forms are all on a digital touch screen!?! disgraceful and despicable. these mishaps and shenanigans would be tolerable, at best, had they had the common decency to speak to people like they were human beings!?! never go here!!!!! you may encounter the unprofessional hbic in charge who takes out her crappy bad mood caused by something or someone else on you!! beware!! *other staff, rad techs and a behind the scenes maintenance man fixing the water fountains were nicer to me in passing than these people!?! god help us all...if i could only attach a recording of this insanity i would!!!! read more

The people in the office may be nice, but their billing system is absolutely the worst!!! Make sure that you make copies of every dime you pay them. I have been trying to straighten out a bill for over 6 months. Not only did they misapply multiple payments (to a different account that was already paid in full) that I had to correct them on every month, but they also double billed my insurance company. The insurance company caught one of the double bills, but not the other and paid them again. I have had to make multiple calls every month, talking to a "supervisor" as well as have my insurance company rep make a three way call to verify what I was saying. Every time, the "supervisor" claimed it would be corrected. I continue to get past due - last reminder bills for an account that has been paid in full!!!! Doesn't matter who you talk to. Their statements, their computers, and their automated phone system will not tell you the same thing. Thankfully I can prove my account is paid. They are the worst to deal with and appear to be dishonest! read more
