To me it was just ok. Steak and eggs was good but the chicken waffle was a disappointment. Chicken was just a flat piece of battered fried chicken. Waffle was just a piece of flour sitting under the chicken. Some syrup may have saved it. Their so called signature oven pizza was not what I expected. Went here for brunch one day and back for their BOGO pizza on Tuesday. Ask for seating at street level cause the large windows are nice and the downstairs seating almost looks and feels like a dingy bar. The service was good and the brunch was great. I was disappointed they didn't have their tiramisu pancakes anymore, but oh well lol. For the pizza we got the Carolina and Ricca. The Carolina was good but the guancale on the Ricca wasn't fried or made crispy prior to topping on the pizza and neither was the mushroom. It was like having a cheese pizza with cold uncooked toppings. I wouldn't get the Ricca again. The pizza crust is also a little dry, but you can ask for their chili oil. read more

The Instagram of this spot sure is inviting and I couldn't wait to try it. The crazy thing is they cancelled my reservation even though I was early . My friend was late but I arrived to plenty of empty tables so that was not good. Both of us experienced the longest wait for our drinks to the point we had to ask. First the salmon croissant - it wasn't bad but the sweetness added to the sandwich was a little off putting . She could not continue eating it unfortunately. Second the affogato eggs. This was disappointing because it was cold - except for the marinara under the slices of bread. I thought I was crazy when I said that but the table next to me told the server her dish was cold too. Fantastic brunch at Carolina on New Year's Day. They've added some new items (including a Chicken cutlet on a waffle with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce). Btw the eggs on these are the best ever. FYI it comes with home fries normally but we choose not to have them. Also the steak with scrambled egg on a croissant is fantastic. We also had the blueberry ricotta pancakes (which are the bomb). Service was great and love the ambiance both upstairs and downstairs. They are doing brunch on some weekend days too now. Parking is on the street or TTC gets you there. read more

Would definitely come back for brunch or dinner in the future! We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we were blown away with the size of the dishes and the taste. The savoury croissant was delicious and could either be paired with a side salad or potatoes. The steak and eggs were great as well. We ordered the pistachio pancakes to share and despite how it looks, it wasn't too sweet like other brunch spots. I would highly recommend trying the pancakes if you have a chance! They were fluffy and light and had a great pistachio flavour. All the waiters were friendly and welcoming. The place seems newly decorated, has a modern feel to it. Hard to put it in words! Excellent all way around! First impression when you walk downstairs is a cozy, warm ambiance, very well decorated! We were a family of 12 with 3 kids! You can imagine the chaos! But Staff were very accommodating! We had a reservation at 2 pm, table was ready and we got sit instantly! The waitress, who I und fortunately didn't get her name, spent time with every person, explaining the menu! She also was very friendly to kids. Food was delicious! Some of the best Italian food I tried outside of Italy! Our table ordered at least an item from each section, every good was absolutely delicious! Picture here is their mushroom and truffle pasta! This place was a complete let down. A great PR campaign with great pictures and video of a vibrant restaurant. The pizza was soggy in the middle, cheese was hard and the tomato sauce had absolutely no taste. The salad was fresh and again no taste. Very bland. The pasta noodles for the Bolognese were wrong, very flat and skinny. Needed thicker wider noodles. The cheese plate was pathetically lame. The cheeses were bland with no memorable thoughts. The focaccia was really a pizza crust. Being presented as an authentic Neopolitan chef/owner was far from being good. The staff is poorly trained and are amost nonexistent. They are enjoying the company of their coworkers and eating. The Chef/owner is not very engaged with customers. Save your money and don't visit this overhyped restaurant. read more

Although it was our first time here, we were welcomed as if we were family. It was after 3:00 and we had only stopped in for a croissant - I'd had a hankering for days! Tempted by their lavish-looking pistachio, decadent chocolate and airy almond, we opted for the classic plain. Given the choice to eat in or take out, we decided to stay in the cool bright space. The staff made us feel right at home, bringing over a large bottle of water along with our croissants. The seating was surprisingly comfortable, given that it was high and I find that challenging. But for those of us on the padded bench, there was a well-thought-out ledge to rest our feet. And the leather stools had ergonomically well-balanced back rests which made each seat relaxing. The croissants were delicious, not overly flaky, rich but certainly not heavy. Just the right midday treat! Of course, Carolina's is known for its pizza; and you can bet we will be back for that! read more

We were booked for 3 people on December 8 at 6:15. Due to mixup it turned out the venue was reserved for a private party and we were not made aware of the double booking. Needless to say we were very upset. I received a call from the owner of Carolina's Graziano who apologized for the inconvenience and offered us a bottle of wine as a peace token. That was very nice of him and I was very surprised. I understand Carolina is a relatively new business and mistakes happen. I wish them good luck. read more

I had the gluten free pizza crust and it was sooooo good! Was not hard or too flat. The toppings were super fresh, the hot honey was amazing. They also have really yummy gelato, we had Nutella and pistachio. Would recommend! Especially for gf pizza crust as a good one is hard to find. read more
