The billing process ended up being frustrating and unclear, and I was not able to get the level of documentation or clarity I was hoping for. I am so happy I saw case examples and learned of Dr. Bockow's work at two different dentistry continuing education courses. She really is at the top of our field, and airway issues were a major concern for us. Dr. Bockow treats the whole person, whole body health, in addition to straightening the teeth. I realized my son had all the signs and symptoms of an airway issue. He wasn't growing well, snored, mouth breathed, was sick all of the time, had anxiety, night terrors, and also was grinding his teeth. My son just finished upper and lower expansion with Dr. Bockow and all of his symptoms have resolved completely. My son is very articulate for a 7 year old and told me he feels more rested when he wakes up in the morning after finishing treatment. His anxiety is also much better and I know it's related to his improved quality of sleep. In addition to feeling better his face looks healthier. His adult teeth are coming in straight with periodontal support because they have room to erupt where they should. We are so grateful to Dr. Bockow and her team for helping improve our son's overall health and well being. I am starting adult orthodontic treatment with her this summer and feel completely confident in her treatment planning, especially with her background as a dual trained periodontist and orthodontist. She explained everything throughly by giving me scenarios, options, and answering my questions. I chose to move forward with expanders and retainers for my kids. The treatments are going great. It is one thing if they told me ahead of time... but it is often after the work has been done. This has happened tp me here more than once. They do a great job cleaning your teeth. I am just disappointed in how they handle their billings and sales tactics. At the end of an hour during which no one checked on me I got up to leave to get back to work, at which point Dr. O'Beirne explained that she had been 'hung up' during my appointment. We made a follow up to actually have the consult that was the reason for this appointment, but I canceled to find a provider that actually attends to their clients (what if Dr. O'Beirne gets 'hung up' during my surgery?). Even canceling the follow up wasn't a good experience - I didn't receive confirmation of the cancellation, and received two reminders to show up. I called the office to confirm the cancellation, Karen mentioned that she got my request and that their systems aren't in sync. Nice customer service, Karen! I guess you're a good match for the doc. Anyhow, poor experience all-around as a first-time client, I would avoid.

I found the office b/c my dentist (who I clung to since the age of four) in Wisconsin was able to recommend Dr. Kinzer. The staff was eager to help me find an appointment that fit my schedule, more than willing to help retrieve my dental records from my former dentist, and they were very friendly over the phone. Plus, they immediately emailed me all of the forms I need to fill out, which I appreciate. Being required to arrive at a medical office 15-20 minutes prior to an appointment to fill out paper work is a drag, so I appreciate the effort they are making to save my time and theirs. I have always had issues with my enamel and expected to pay more for the treatment that requires. However, an estimate of an 9k bill over the span of 11 treatments, 5 crowns, and a root canal left me paralyzed thinking about not being able to afford the care I need. I am happy to say after getting a second opinion, I am able to get the entirety of my dental care for around $500 in 5 sessions and no crowns or root canal... not sure how they made the 8.5k jump. I won't be surprised to see this place fall apart after a series of lawsuits, and I truly hope no one has to experience what I went through at this horrible place - always get a second opinion!
