I am shocked by both the cost, over $14000 for full set of dentures, as well as the policy of paying them in full out of pocket and then leaving it on you to recover your money from the insurance. And when I said no, thats crazy , she immediately moved to "Well, you owe us $295 dollars for today. " I guess I will figure out how to bill my insurance. The front office staff, dental assistant, and doctor were professional and easy to work with. The facilities were nice, and they validate parking, which is always helpful in the city. I did have an issue with the exam fee not being clearly communicated upfront, but they worked to resolve it, and Dr. Weinstein said he's even adjusting some of their business practices so the same misunderstanding doesn't happen to other patients. That's good management! If it wasn't for the communication issue and a rather rude care coordinator, I would definitely recommend. I have no doubt they do great work! read more

Dr. Richins and his staff are highly competent, thoughtful, and a pleasure to interact with. I strongly recommend Dr. Richins and his staff based on my experiences to date. I have received a sinus lift and dental implant. I won't receive the crown atop the implant until 2024Q2 and will return to update my review if there are any complications that develop. Focus is on quality of care - not speed. They take the time to pre-numb and go through 2 rounds of Novocain. This takes longer but is more comfortable for the patient. I didn't experience any pain during either treatment, although it is worth noting that there was considerable pain for the sinus lift after the operation, which is customary for the operation itself and not a negative signal of the quality of care I received. I get the strong sense that those working at this practice care about continued growth and improvement. They were happy to answer more detailed questions I had about the operations and their methodologies to minimize various risks exceeded my expectations. They went out-of-network for Delta Dental in 2024, but they honored the original treatment plan pricing from 2023 as if they were still in network (with regard to negotiated rates). This is another example of how they are thoughtful and intentional and put the patient first. read more

I had grafts done on my upper and lower gums on the right side of my mouth--and going into the procedure, I was terrified because I'd heard the procedure and the recovery were painful. But the whole experience was anything but. Fernando, who is very kind and helpful, walked me through what to expect, ordered my prescriptions, and helped me schedule all my office visits. I chose to have only local anesthesia (you can pick your level), and that was plenty. Michelle, the nurse during the procedure (who was wonderful), wrapped me in a blanket, I put on an audiobook, and I was about as comfortable as you can be getting oral surgery. Dr. Kaminsky, who did the procedure was fantastic, and although she told me that I may have swelling, pain, and bleeding during recovery ("You may want to take a few days off work"), I had none of that. It was amazing--as were the results. Plus, the after care instructions were detailed: they told me what to do every day. And the company even handled all the insurance claims. Advanced Perio WAY exceeded my expectations, and I'm going back in January to get the other side done. read more

Dr Weinstein is fabulous. I have never had an office that is so bad that I will give up great care as a result, and trust me, I put up with a lot because I understand good health care in the US is a luxury at this point. I put up with a lot but after only calling in Early august 2023 and only being able to schedule one exam for a deep cleaning in January and then being put off and rescheduled and not being able to follow-up, they don't have appointments until 1-2 months out and inevitably these are canceled due to other emergencies until May! It has seriously messed my treatment plan. A lot of the issues are my fault, my partners heart attack, my own medical condition, but having to speak to so many different people, you confirm the next steps and have to start at stage one again only to have slots 2-3 months out?. The lack of staffing and communication errors on both part is just too hard and I just need a deep clean darn it. Hard no. Don't go here if you have serious teeth issues. it just isn't worth the great doctors. read more

I was referred here recently by my dentist to assess some gum recession I have. The staff was very friendly, and the office looked clean and well maintained. I saw Dr. Nguyen and he was very friendly and patiently answered all my questions. At my initial consultation, he assessed the state of my gum recession and recommended a gum graft for two adjacent teeth. The assistant for this initial consultation was very helpful and gave me tips such as try to schedule the gum graft for a Friday since I won't want to talk for a while afterwards so it gives me the weekend to start recovering before having to talk to people at work. The procedure itself was about 90 minutes I think and went well. I had follow up visits at around 3 weeks and around 8.5 weeks and Dr. Nguyen continued to be friendly and patiently answer questions and explain things to me. The assistants for all the visits were all very nice and helpful. read more

Back in the mid-2000s, I tripped and fell on my face, breaking my two front teeth. I got implants done (at another place) on those two teeth and recovered. 13 or so years later, I noticed the implant showing through my gums above the tooth. I came to Advanced Perio from a referral from my dentist. They recommended Dr. Weinstein, and I can see why. As other reviewers have mentioned, Dr. Weinstein is incredibly kind, gentle, and attentive. He gave me a good understanding of my options, and I felt confident I was making the right decision for my situation. Dr. Weinstein removed my old implant and performed a bone graft with the hopes of a new implant in the future. Having a pandemic hit between my pre-op exam and my surgery was something no one could have predicted. The office was great at keeping patients informed of the measures they are taking for Covid, and Dr. Weinstein was very understanding when I needed a refresher on my options before proceeding with the surgery. The surgery went very smoothly and everything I needed to know was communicated very clearly. He called the evening after the surgery (a Friday before the 4th of July, no less) to make sure I was doing okay. I was referred to Advanced Perio for gum grafting by my regular dentist. I postponed the visit for awhile because the procedure sounded a bit barbaric and I have a phobia of the dentist. I chose Dr. Weinstein because I was really fascinated by his Education, having attended Columbia University and Harvard, I thought he would be just one or two steps below God...!!!! Everyone in the practice was great. Lisa responded promptly and helped me schedule an appointment. Romeo was the first face that I saw, I was panicking and he was so reassuring and gentle. Joy and Soughvanny were also caring and helpful on the day of the surgery. Winter and all of the supporting staff were great and very attentive as well as the finance person. Dr. Weinstein was amazing, he did an excellent job and the procedure and recovery were very smooth. He was available for questions via phone, text and email, even on holidays. Everyone treated me with respect and they were accomodating, reassuring and of course, very competent! I was referred to Dr. Weinstein through my general family dentist. It was a long journey to get the implant that required the coordination of my dentist, orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein and a prosthodontist. I am so pleased with the outcome and want to specifically mention that Dr. Weinstein and his team was always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was impressed when he referenced latest published journal articles to standby his practices and treatment plan. Pricing: getting an implant procedure is an outpatient surgery. I have a dentist that I personally know (family friend) and she told me what I could expect to pay for an implant procedure. I expected to pay the amount I did because Dr. Weinstein is a skilled periodontist. He uses the latest technology to perform surgery. My space was quite narrow and I had full confidence that he would be able to complete the surgery without complications. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Advanced Perio. I have been a patient at Advanced Periodontics for about five years; I currently have a cleaning there every three months. On Nov. 20 I came in for a routine cleaning and to have a problematic implant checked. I encountered several surprises, none of them good. 1. I have been having my teeth cleaned in a periodontic practice for about 30 years in two cities. In the current case I saw a hygienist I had never seen before and for the first time in all these years my blood pressure was not checked. 2. More importantly, the cleaning process was not completed. One step is to spray a powder on my implants, but the equipment used to do this failed. The hygienist noted that I was scheduled to have an implant removed two days later and said that this step in the cleaning process would be done then. Of course, this did not happen. When I came in on Nov. 22 nothing was set up to finish my cleaning. I am confident that neither of the two excellent hygienists I had seen previously at Advanced Periodontics would have left the job unfinished. 3. I next moved on to pay my bill. The billing person, again someone I had never seen before, came up with a figure that included both the current charge and pre-payment for my next cleaning in accordance with Advanced Periodontics' new policy. I was also handed a print-out of recent charges and credits. The print-out made no sense so I insisted on going through it line by line. As a result we discovered that a $200 credit on my account had been missed. 4. The procedure scheduled for Nov. 22 required some prescriptions. It is important that I get these before the day of the procedure; they include an antibiotic that I have to begin the morning of the procedure. In my presence, Dr. Boyapati told an assistant what prescriptions to send in. I then heard this assistant pass the task on to someone else. When I left the office I had the impression that no one had actually taken responsibility for doing the job. Later in the day I called my pharmacy to check and indeed they had received no prescriptions from Advanced Periodontics. I called Advanced Periodontics and the person I talked to confirmed that no prescriptions had been sent. This time they actually sent the prescriptions to my pharmacy. On Nov. 22 Dr. Boyapati removed a failed implant with her usual superb professionalism (5 stars). I have the highest regard for Dr. Boyapati and hope to continue my relation with Advanced Periodontics. I have no experience of the other periodontists at this practice. In response to a previous Yelp post Dr. Weinstein mentioned a letter sent to all patients. This letter emphasizes that Advanced Periodontics is a "fee for service" business. My recent experience suggests that FEE and service are currently out of balance. I am confident that this can be fixed if there is a will to do so. read more

I was referred to Advanced Perio through my orthodontist for a gum graft. The staff and financial advisor were clear and able to provide a breakdown of costs before the procedure that were both accurate and easy to understand. Dr. Boyapati and her support staff were so wonderful! They were all very friendly and took the time to explain the procedure, answer all my questions and made me feel taken care of. They were very helpful the day of the procedure where my pharmacy failed to prepare the sedation medication. Bianca and Dr. Boyapati made sure I was sedated and comfortable before the procedure and had everything I needed for post-op care when I left the office, so I wouldn't have to go to the pharmacy after the procedure. Unless you are independently wealthy and or really need your teeth worked on while enjoying the view from within the downtown Seattle skyline with complimentary bottled water, find someone else for your Periodontal needs! Although the staff and Dr.s were friendly and appeared knowledgeable and the office was modern and clean (albeit currently being remodeled), their quoted cost for an implant was 45% higher ($3,000.00) than a reputable 5 star Periodontist in my neighborhood. Additionally, when I called to cancel the extraction appointment and asked for a refund of the $200 deposit I made towards the procedure, I was sent a check for $87. I spoke to my insurance company and discovered they billed insurance $113 for the Limited Exam and were reimbursed at 80% but they still charged me the full $113. This is completely dishonest and unethical. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. Had a surgery booked for 4 months and they stopped taking my insurance 9 days before my surgery. No notification. Would not honor that I had been on their books and I was going to have to pay out of pocket for an expensive procedure. So unethical. read more

dr. weinstein recently performed a biopsy on me due to an irritation in my gums. he was very accommodating and took the time to answer all my questions in easy to understand terms. he also was very good at ensuring i was comfortable (despite jabbing me with that humongous needle! LoL!!) additionally his credentials are stellar - columbia and harvard. i even got a follow up phone call at home to see how i was doing! his staff was very efficient and prompt to respond to my questions via email and/or phone calls (a rarity today). they also provide validated parking in their garage (a definite plus what with the lack of inexpensive parking in downtown seattle). i had one minor issue - i had to pay upfront and i asked how much my dental insurance would pay. the person told me they wouldn't know until they submitted the claim. i don't know if this is standard procedure for all periodontists/dentist. overall i highly recommend dr. weinstein and advanced perio. read more

Dr. Bradley Weinstein was exceptionally effective in extracting one of my teeth (tooth 10 in my case, right next to my left front tooth), assessing the bone graft process in my socket over the next several months, conducting the dental implant placement, and then following up to assess when my regular dentist (Dr. Gabe Don Sing in Seattle, who is also exceptional in every way) could finally install the crown that Gabe had made. Every appointment I had with Brad and his staff was extremely smooth. I did not need to have general anesthesia for either of my two surgeries. I experienced very little pain, and, because the members of the team provided all of the oral hygiene advice I should follow post-surgery, I had no infections. Finally, everyone I worked with was friendly, cheerful and great to engage with. I was also very impressed that Dr. Weinstein called me personally early in the evening after the days he performed my surgeries to make sure that I was okay. Dentists and staff were knowledgable and courteous. I had a somewhat invasive operation needed on my gums and the doctor was exceptional. No pain, very little bleeding, and no post-surgery issues. They took my insurance DeltaDental and also helped me sign up for CareCredit, which has 0% interest for the first 24 months due to out of pocket costs. The only complaint I have was that my reminder email said 10:00 AM. I had it down as 8:30 AM and when I called the morning of, just to make sure, staff said it was 8:30 AM. I didn't knock down any stars because it may have been somewhat my fault as I've rescheduled with them twice to get it done as soon as possible. So I may have inadvertently confused their scheduling system. That said, I highly recommend them and will stay with them but will confirm all my appointments the day prior, even with an email reminder. read more
