Nick has deep knowledge of the Los Altos, Palo Alto, and Mountain View real estate markets and offers far more than traditional real estate services. Over six months, we toured numerous homes together, sometimes as early as 7:45 a.m. on Sundays to accommodate our schedule. Nick consistently identified potential problems, renovation opportunities, and associated costs. He never pushed us toward a transaction; in fact, he sometimes advised us not to bid or to offer less than we intended. His priority was protecting our interests and helping us make informed decisions. Before we submitted our offer, Nick prepared a detailed renovation budget and helped us secure financing at a better interest rate than other options available to us. His support after closing was extraordinary. He arrived at closing with renovation permits already secured, and construction began the very next day. The project included extensive demolition, a complete primary suite renovation, a new bathroom, kitchen and bathroom improvements, major HVAC upgrades, electrical and plumbing work, roofing, flooring, painting, and backyard improvements. This realtor... what a disappointment of someone to be involved with…read more This subpar realtor represented the seller in a housing transaction, in which disclosures that should have been made were not. Why not? Who knows, maybe this subpar realtor didn't think they should be. Maybe the realtor is incompetent. Maybe this maybe that. I don't know, but as the realtor he is sort of supposed to know, you know, how to sell a house. So this house is sold, and there's some major lack of functionality. The buyers notice this because it's glaringly obvious and you'd have to either be stupid beyond reason or willfully ignoring it not to see it. And rightfully they demand the seller fix this. Nickolas French decides to do this, but in the most unprofessional and frustrating way possible. This incompetent realtor calls an incompetent plumber, and my guess is says something along the lines of "please do a really slow, frustrating job, don't communicate, and have bad results". And again, how I envision it happening, the incompetent plumbers agree with this incompetent realtor Nickolas French and do just that. There are so many realtors in the area. So, so many. Do yourself a favor and don't be involved with this one. And if you are buying from sellers represented by this realtor, well, all I can say is do your due diligence to a higher degree than you'd normally expect to, and keep your eyes open for anything shady. Also note the "not recommended reviews" include this realtor doing the same thing. Sounds like the playbook is well established.

We had interviewed two realtors before Michael, while both were competent and I am sure they would have done a reasonable job, they were missing the spark of enthusiasm and excitement of someone who truly loves their job and is great at it. The afternoon I called Michael he came immediately the same day. His enthusiasm for the job was infectious, he came up with a list of changes which would improve the house value. Clearing up the front yard, replanting grass in the back and the front yard. What flowers to put. What fencing to put, what interior / exterior paints to use which will resonate with most buyers. What lights etc. In a period of days and at a reasonable cost they were done and the house looked much better. Michael has a team working with him listing agent, contractors, land scapers, custodians, operations manager, stagers all of whom are super quick at their job and their vendors are all very reliable. The listing agent Bri apart from other things did a wonderful intro video to the house. The custodian Mani did a wonderful job in keeping the house amazingly spotless clean and did a lot of innumerable things like cleaning the hot tub, naming all the fruit trees, making a drawing in the chalkboard in the kids bedroom. Ola did a lot of day to day communication. She was on top of any message and had an amazing fast turn around time given any requirement. The proof of the pudding was in the selling. It was on the market for less than a week and we sold the house above our initial expectations.They kept everything in stellar condition till close and we closed on time. Won't think twice before hiring them again for the next time I have to sell. Coming to the buy side. Michael has a nose for what to look for in a house. Maybe houses which looked good to us Michael gave us sound reasons why it may not be great to live in however good it looks, and has all the bells and whistles. We zeroed in on a house which fit all our requirements and his team did a great job in understanding the demand and the pricing. Even post purchase Michael and team have very helpful advice on things which can be improved before moving in and also help us find the right vendors for the improvements we are making.
