Be prepared to run into many a headache accessing their online banking. They will update things without any notice to their customers. You will go to log in and your account can't be found to even do anything. You are basically held hostage trying to get into your account. Plan on spending 1 1/2 hours on the phone waiting because they are busy, and another 30-45 minutes to set everything up again. Then, you'll want to brace yourself, because they will lock you out again,a couple months later. Their system doesn't tell you you need to create a new password , it tells you they can't locate your account. Reality is they added a new password requirement. And the Desert Financial madness continues. It's called deja vu people! Speaking of the incompetence...how hard is it to email or mail notifications to customers? Or even post some sort of notice on their website since their system can't notify people as to what the error really is? ...unthought of concepts to them apparently! Guessing that's why they changed their name recently from Desert Schools to this Desert Financial- they have got to distance themselves from the ramifications. Unless you have lots of time to waste trying to access YOUR money - Customer beware!!! Desert Disaster Financial is more like it!

Every lender I contacted required that I wait at least a year and meet all sorts of extensive requirements . I was referred to Alex Kirkland and he contacted me immediately which was already a positive as it seems loan officers no longer follow up on leads these days . Alex was very informative and told me about a program that would allow me to qualify in just 6 months! I was skeptical as many loan officers seemed to be less than reliable as I researched a lender to use. Alex followed up and kept me informed for months until I was ready to move forward with my refinance . Once it was time to refinance . Alex kept me well informed, returned all calls and emails almost IMMEDIATELY. Once in a moment of overthinking and anxiety I emailed him on a Sunday and he emailed me right back to address my concerns ! I've since also closed a purchase with him and on both deals I must say that Alex , his associate Matt Nelson and even the processing team have been nothing short of professional and reliable. They do what they say they will and act with urgency which is the most important to me . I plan to do more work with them in the very near future .

I had the worst service from the "bank manager", Casey Heaton. I wanted to open a non personal…read moreaccount. He argued with me on the legal setup. I never had problem with the setup and I bank with national banks. Casey said he knows what he is talking about because he has DECADES of banking experience. Finally, I called my CPA/Attorney who had to explain to him on the setup. He then was embarrassed by his behavior (yet eyes welled up and charged with emotions) and told me to leave his office and threatened me with calling security. REALLY? I went to another Mid First branch and opened the account I needed without any Casey ego and drama. I think the staffing shortage at this bank is caused by Casey's emotional instability and not by his upper management. Other Mid First branches don't seem to be as chaotic with staffing turnover.
