He helped me get prequalified very quickly and walked me through each step since it was my first time applying for a mortgage. Vance was able to find me a mortgage with interest rate of 3.0% which is much better than I was expecting. Once I had found a home, Vance also kept me informed about what was happening with the finances at each step of the home buying process and would call to walk me through the paperwork with each new step in the process. He definitely made the home buying process much easier and I would recommend him to anyone looking to finance a home!

They came back and said that we could only get our money in escrow. That the assessment came back to low. So we agreed. They told us to not pay our mortgage payments for the next two months. We kept getting calls from our mortgage company that our payment was late. After calling and texting them for two weeks I finally got a call back. They told us the new mortgage did not go through. And they would not repay our 800. They said they would send me a visa card with 400 on it and send a check for the late charge. But going through all the waiting no communication it has put us behind on mortgage payments and other bills. I have yet to see either the late fee or the visa card

Be prepared to run into many a headache accessing their online banking. They will update things without any notice to their customers. You will go to log in and your account can't be found to even do anything. You are basically held hostage trying to get into your account. Plan on spending 1 1/2 hours on the phone waiting because they are busy, and another 30-45 minutes to set everything up again. Then, you'll want to brace yourself, because they will lock you out again,a couple months later. Their system doesn't tell you you need to create a new password , it tells you they can't locate your account. Reality is they added a new password requirement. And the Desert Financial madness continues. It's called deja vu people! Speaking of the incompetence...how hard is it to email or mail notifications to customers? Or even post some sort of notice on their website since their system can't notify people as to what the error really is? ...unthought of concepts to them apparently! Guessing that's why they changed their name recently from Desert Schools to this Desert Financial- they have got to distance themselves from the ramifications. Unless you have lots of time to waste trying to access YOUR money - Customer beware!!! Desert Disaster Financial is more like it!

After dealing with this conundrum, I looked them up on LinkedIn. You would think their posts would be about helping veterans if that is what they trully cared about, but no. All of their posts are glazing their salesmen and celebrating their "top producers". Feel free to see for yourself: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mvpfunding After denying his future calls due to the dishonestly, that salesman's manager called to admit the lie and offered to work with me personally. I told him I wasn't interested at that exact moment, and was still badgered with calls. They would call during times I was not available, and when respectfully telling him that, he still pushed over the phone and would ignore my protest and roll into an unsolicited sales pitch under the guide of "helping me". I finally had to get stern and tell them they will be contacted when I am ready. Weeks later, I get ANOTHER call with the same tactics. They called during a busy time at work, and I mentioned I had no time to talk. The salesman pushed, demanded I set up a time with them to talk and went into a spiel about them being so eager to "help me" understand my benefits. I had to get extremely stern again and tell him I fully understand, and I will not be forced into their demands and would call them if I MYSELF decided to. The salesman got rude, told me I didn't have to "waste my words" and cut the call. The worst bout of children masquerading as salesmen I have ever had to deal with. I never write reviews, but after my experience, I had to. These guys see you (the veteran) as nothing more than a sale. A dollar sign. Nothing more.
