This bank is incompetent! Run from this bank if you are a business owner! Run from this bank all together! They are so not worth opening the door! This bank is so far behind the times it's sad. Asking your clients months after they opened account is unprofessional. The employees absolutely need to understand what they are asking for and why. This bank and its employees need a much broader range of education. Trying to make the client feel like it's their fault because your bankers don't know how to do their job is insane. This bank should be shut down! They operate like a morgue! This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with! They think a Fido airy is going to supply them with confidential contracts! What this bank asks for is beyond stupid and they are way over stepping their boundaries! You will be sorry if you open a bank account here! I had an appointment to open three checking accounts. I had my computer with me to give this bank whatever they needed from me. They asked for nothing because they absolutely did not understand the checking account I needed. It is unacceptable to come back months later and tap dance around blaming your client when the bank is very unclear about what they need to set up the account. Having two apps to deal with are from ancient times. Your online banking should work as one app. Business in one app and personal in the other is inconvenient. I'm not impressed. Great service from Midfirst for 15 years! They also treat me respect and appreciation.

I had the worst service from the "bank manager", Casey Heaton. I wanted to open a non personal account. He argued with me on the legal setup. I never had problem with the setup and I bank with national banks. Casey said he knows what he is talking about because he has DECADES of banking experience. Finally, I called my CPA/Attorney who had to explain to him on the setup. He then was embarrassed by his behavior (yet eyes welled up and charged with emotions) and told me to leave his office and threatened me with calling security. REALLY? I went to another Mid First branch and opened the account I needed without any Casey ego and drama. I think the staffing shortage at this bank is caused by Casey's emotional instability and not by his upper management. Other Mid First branches don't seem to be as chaotic with staffing turnover. read more

My mortgage is through MidFirst bank so I'm stuck with them but I'd advise anybody looking to do banking to look somewhere else. First and foremost, they have made paying my mortgage every month very difficult. Personally, I'd like to auto-pay my mortgage and they haven't been able to set it up correctly. In addition, I feel like their website and app are out dated and clunky. It's very difficult to navigate. In terms of customer service, everyone is friendly but they aren't very helpful and they keep sending me off to different departments. read more

I was on vacation in Paris, France. My debit card got canceled because of a data breach. The letter that was sent to me came AFTER I left for vacation so I had no idea my debit card would be canceled. I found out when a purchase would not go through. I called customer service - NO HELP. I requested a manager - transferred to a branch manager, Casey Heaton. NO HELP. In fact he actually said there is nothing he could do! I explained I was in Paris with no cash and no access to my money! He repeated that it was unfortunate but there's nothing he can do I then asked if I could use my husband's debit card (different account) and add it to my Apple Pay on my phone. He said that would work and then he said he was happy he could help me! Can you f-ing believe it! He took credit for me figuring out a solution! I told him quite clearly that my solution to my problem WAS NOT due to him so he is NOT taking credit for helping me! Of course, I had a few choice word for him. Then I ended the call. I got home six days later and paid him a visit to let him know and to show him the letter I didn't get before leaving for my vacation and that the letter stated my debit card would be canceled on the day I was visiting him, six days after it was already canceled. Anyway, the point of my visit was to let him know how useless he is as a branch manager and how he has NO CONCEPT of customer service not does he have any problem solving skills whatsoever! I later found out from my "home base" branch that Casey wanted to close my account because of the way I spoke to him. Can you believe his arrogance? Do ABSOLUTELY nothing help a stranded customer and that customer is furious with him and his solution is to cancel/close my account!!! How's that for NO ACCOUNTABILITY? What a useless piece of garbage of an employee! Thank goodness I don't have to go to his branch ever! read more

Excellent people. However, the bill payment system contractor is completely unacceptable. A bill was authorized for payment on 10/8. The check was issued on 10/11. It had not been delivered by 10/21. This is ridiculous. Their bill payer was completely disinterested and unresponsive. I will be changing banks due to this absurd handling of an excellent vendors bill. read more

Derek Johnson at Tempe branch Elliot and Rural location is thee most unprofessional Bank Manager I have have dealt with. I was a client since 2016 and went in to deposit a check in the amount of $3000.00 and asked for $300.00 cash back was denied and when I asked why considering I have direct deposit which was going into my account the following day he denied me. Because I'd make a remark under my breath that he did not seem sorry as he he expressed in a condescending manner he then yelled at me I'll close your account right now YOU WANT ME TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT HE YELLED AT ME 2 times as I was exiting the bank because I'd received a phone call from my daughter I had to take the call. After my call I walked back in to ask his name to call customer service to complain about him. HE PROCEEDED TO YELL AT ME AGAIN. Well he closed my account cutting off my access to my account and debt card and no one has called me I had to go to another branch to find out what was going on. When I confronted him as to why he closed my account he stated he dint like my behavior. Well let's see what the cameras in the branch show of his behavior. Midfirst is a good bank but the Manager and Assistant Manager are the worst people to deal with. I have a business account with them and I stopped into this branch to deposit a check from a Title Company, all the other banks I deal will release funds instantly because the check is from a Title Company. The Manager looked at me and said in a smart tone "Cash is instant and Paper we hold for 3 days" I decided to close all 3 of my accounts and the Assistant Manager was more than happy to help. After they closed my accounts and gave me my money she said "We could have called the other bank to verify funds so we would not hold the check" how nice of her to tell me that after they inconvenienced me and forced me to close my accounts. I guess with Midfirst bank if you can spell your name in crayon then you can get a management job with them. My option they look pretty on the outside and inside but at the heart they are just like every other bank, greedy and selfish. I took the same check to Desert Schools and they were more than happy to assist me and my funds were instantly available. I'm a Desert Schools client for life. read more

UPDATE: Can I give Midfirst a 6/5?? They caught a fraud attempt and declined it before it went through then left a VM for me less than 5 mins later. Back in the day Bank of America told us to "call back after the transaction goes through" when we noticed a pending fraudulent PayPal transaction in excess of $3000." Not Midfirst - they are ON IT! So glad we quit BofA and switched to a smaller bank that cares. Midfirst Bank is what banks used to be back in the day. Someone always answers the phone. There's always a smile and just enough friendly chit chat. They remember me when I walk in! Most importantly, my financial questions are answered and my financial needs are met. My girls get suckers and smiles every time. I half think my dog would get a bone if I took him through the drive-thru. We have hardly any bank frees and ATM fees charged by other banks are reimbursed to our account. I am extremely happy with Midfirst and I second how great Brad is although I'll add that I like everyone there! read more
