I have to say that their selection in clothes is awesome, not once have I been disappointed with my purchased items. What I was disappointed with todays visit 7/25/23 was the Customer Service lady that was at the Cash register who was on her phone the whole time she was cashing out the people in line, me and my daughters being some of those customers. She did not greet or even make eye contact with us at all nor attempted to converse with us. Her telephone conversation seemed to be what was most important to her at the time, in our opinion not tending or conversing with your customers while they are in front of you is plain and simply rude and annoying. Employees should not be talking on their telephones while customers are in their presences and doing business. On the other hand, the Asian gentleman who works at this location was friendly and attentive.

This used to be the best thrift store in Cabarrus County. Yes, used to be. It has gone downhill…read moreever since they reopened after C*vid. That's part of the problem too - all new staff due to firing the old staff during C*vid times...ones who had been there for years & were so sweet. The new manager is a guy who frequently complains openly about people shopping in the store, has literally complained about having to check my cart of stuff because I "got too much" and it'd take a while to scan it all in (I had maybe 6 books, a couple of shoes and some small nicknacks - it wasn't a lot). He's also changed sale hours - day of - closing early because he felt like it. He does not make people feel welcome to shop there - it's like we're bothering him to be in the store. Also, the pricing has gotten really bad - it's frequently at or above retail now, which is so sad since this stuff is always clearly used and *given/donated* to the store, but they grossly overprice it. Case in point: A used coffee grinder for $24.99 when it's new for $18.95 on Amazon or $19.98 at Walmart. The clothes have been really stained, hole-filled, torn and ripped lately. I really hate how bad the store is these days... I went in recently and they were selling a side table that was missing two legs, but still had it priced at $39.99. It just makes me so sad since this used to be my favorite thrift store in the area, and it's awful now.

New fav goodwill hello…read more Huge store and not a ton of people? Sign me up. This place was spacious and well run. Very organized (but obstinem cashier) and tons of stuff. Their clothing was clean and well placed. Some pretty stellar name brands of good quality (j crew, Colombia etc). The shoe selection was a bit lacking but well placed. Not a ton of furniture but decent stuff. Good book and home good section. Overall The aisles were big and clear. The staff were super kind and efficient. Responded to dressing room bell fast. Very patient with customers not in mask. This place is a real gem. I'll be back.

Last week I was interested in buying some boots that needed quite a bit of TLC. Outsole was worn with heal needing to be replaced the leather had small tears and they were priced over $50.00. I checked with SM and she said that's the price. I looked them up on GB shoes and they were Brand New for $89.00. Just seems they would be a better price because of the terrible shape they were in. But today was absurd and the reason I am writing this review. I was browsing the store and saw 4 brand new Duracell Powermats. (for Iphone4/4s) I had just bought the exact same one a week ago from Amazon. I paid $25 for the same exact model . Goodwill has it priced at $50.50 each. I thought for sure it was a mistake. I tried to let the manager know but she told me they don't make mistakes on prices and she would not double check it for me. I assured her I don't want to buy it I just wanted to let her know I thought it was priced incorrectly. She told me I was wrong and the price is 100% correct. So I guess the Goodwill thrift store in Black Mounting is charging more the twice the amount the suggested retail???? I am glad there are other thrift stores for me to shop. An added note other than the Manager the associates have always been VERY nice. But that store needs a good cleaning and needs to be better organized like the other Goodwill's in our area.

I was in Rock Hill for something else & saw a thrift store I hadn't noticed before. I LOVE…read morethrifting, so I had to check it out. Different tag colors have different prices. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but ended up finding some good pieces, like vintage hat pins, a wine chiller, and some vintage jewelry. I had a good laugh seing the basket of wigs & hair; they really do have something for everyone. The lady behind the counter was eager to help when I had questions about things in the jewelry case. Looking forward to returning.
