Her sense of humor made me feel so relaxed, which is rare for me in the doctor's office. Not for a single moment did I feel rushed while meeting with her, during both appointments. She listened to every single thing I wanted to discuss with her and gave me her honest, straightforward and knowledgeable opinion. Even the most uncomfortable portion of my appointment with her (the female exam) went great because she talked me through every step and even made jokes, to ease my discomfort. Another great thing is that Dr. Bansal isn't the kind of doctor that wants to solve all ailments with prescription drugs. They're always an option but she knows how to differentiate between necessity and frivolous prescribing, which I appreciate greatly. All in all, Dr. Bansal made me feel like I was dealing with nice, funny, honest and yet incredibly knowledgeable friend. She knew everything I asked her about and made me feel like all will be well.

As Dr. Hoddinott had good reviews, I gave her office a call telling them that both my wife and I (40ish,very healthy, great insurance) are looking for a new doctor. I was told by the receptionist (this was 16 days ago) that the doctor would review our request and I would hear back from them the next day. I didn't. So I call back and another person tells me that "it can take several days for the doctor to make a determination about a new patient. She has lots of things on her desk". At this point I already have a bad feeling about the doctor and her staff if it takes them several days to get back to a new patient. But I thought I would perhaps get a call after a week. Nope.. Two Weeks? Uh-uh. It's not two weeks plus and no call-back. The doctor might be wonderful with patients. Unfortunately, for me the process of getting in to see her was a major turnoff. Doctor Hoddinott, work with your staff on a much better process for people who WANT to give you business. I am still looking for that elusive general physician!

There was this one time I called last minute for a physical exam for my CNA program. The lady helped squeezed me in for an appointment right before my turn in date. My most recent visit was another physical into my LVN program and they were booked until the next month. I told them I needed the physical sooner and the guy was so helpful he told me of a cancellation and asked if I wanted it, which I did! The waits can take from 10-15 minutes which isn't too bad considering how packed and busy they are most of the time. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The nurses took their time when they saw me and never rushed my visits. They paid attention to my concerns and explained certain conditions and medications to me. The male LVN that helped drew my blood for my physical was very nice and talked me through the process so I knew what he was doing the whole time while educating me about drawing blood and LVN related stuff. Nurse practitioner Kelava was also very nice! I've seen her twice and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. On two occasions, I came in with some health issue and she diagnosed me and prescribed me meds which help me a lot. Very great team of healthcare professionals :)

At the time, I wasn't having a good experience with my previous doctor's office, so my husband suggested that I ask to see Dr. Ling. I'm very grateful that Dr. Ling was willing to accept me as a patient. From my experience, Dr. Ling truly cares about the individual health of each of her patients. She doesn't just treat a test result or prescribe medication and send you on your way. She takes the time to understand the issue, orders the appropriate tests, reviews the results, and develops a plan to address the problem. One example is my blood pressure. It had been difficult to control, and several doctors had tried different medications. Some of the medications caused unpleasant side effects. Dr. Ling patiently worked with me, trying different medications and combinations until we found an approach that works. Today, my blood pressure is under control and, importantly, I'm not experiencing the side effects I had before. Another example is my bone health. I needed treatment that involved injections, but I really don't like shots and was also concerned about the cost. Instead of simply telling me that injections were my only option, Dr. Ling was willing to discuss a pill alternative and let me try it. If it works for me, it could save me both the inconvenience of injections and a significant amount of money. I really appreciate that she considers both my health and my concerns. Recently, I also needed a special lab test because of a hereditary health issue in my family that could potentially affect me. I brought the request to the office, and they were able to schedule me for an appointment the very next day. When I arrived, I waited less than 10 minutes, and Dr. Ling reviewed the request and signed the lab order right away. The office staff are also very thoughtful--they routinely ask whether I need any medication refills when I'm there. The office staff are friendly, helpful, and responsive as well. One time, my husband and I discovered that our online pharmacy had significantly increased the price of one of our medications. We asked the office to change the pharmacy, and they took care of it right away so I could get my refill the same day. They even allowed me to keep one particular medication at a different pharmacy because it was much less expensive there. Overall, my husband and I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ling and her staff. What stands out most is that we feel like real patients, not just numbers. Even though the office is busy, we never feel like Dr. Ling is simply trying to rush us out the door. She listens to our concerns and genuinely wants to find solutions that work for us. With all the stories we hear these days about how difficult it can be to find a good primary care doctor, we feel very fortunate to have Dr. Ling as our PCP. Knowing that we can see her in a timely manner for regular checkups as well as unexpected health concerns gives us tremendous peace of mind. Thank you, Dr. Ling, for taking such good care of us!

My previous family doctor within Sutter Health no longer practices and informed me at the end of…read more2024. I have Rx to refill and the previous doctor ordered lab tests for me, I need a new primary to follow up, so I made an appointment with Dr. Kaine and visited his facility in Daly City on 1/8/2025. Dr. Kaine looked through my lab results and let me get some vaccinations that day. To summarize what I want to share here: Dr. Kaine and his office billed me with a wrong code -- 99203: for "a new patient visit when a patient has not been seen within a department in the past three years within the Sutter network" (see Sutter Health billing letter attached). I have been seeing doctors within the Sutter Health network since October 2022 -- my previous family doctor. In the past three years, I had 3 office visits with doctors within Sutter Health (see attached My Health Online record and my Sutter Page). Besides the records showing I am definitely not new to Sutter Health, the visit with Dr. Kaine was a "follow-up", he was reading the lab result other doctors had ordered for me, he should have known those results were within the network and not more than 3 years old. I called Sutter Health's billing office regarding this issue, and I received the attached billing letter, and refused to correct the mistake. I called the billing office, the representative suggested I talk with the doctor's office because the doctor's office submitted the code. I printed out my visit records and billing letter and took them to the doctor's office, the office staff said they had nothing to do with billing, and gave me a small yellow slip with the billing office's phone number on it. I do not know how billing codes get determined and submitted, but based on what I experienced, either: 1) Dr. Kaine's staff did not know the codes well enough / ignored my records/ chose to treat me as a brand-new patient, or 2) Dr. Kaine himself, after reading through lab results NOT ORDERED BY HIM, decided to use a code for patients who haven't seen a doctor for more than 3 years. Either way is not professional, I do not recommend Dr. Kaine and his office at all. Just a FYI Dr. Kaine tags as "family medicine" but he told me he no longer seeing kids. If it's helpful for people looking for family doctors.
