I've read all the 24 existing reviews and agree with almost all of them, positive and negative. Dr…read moreLing is indeed very knowledgeable and very skilled. But she's also over booked and rushed. She's sometimes running late. She's been my primary care physician for over 2 years, and except for my first appointment with her, every encounter has been very quick and a bit cold. Transactional I guess. The only reviews I didn't understand were the ones that say she is warm and caring. I'm of Chinese descent but I don't speak Chinese and my family isn't culturally Chinese. So maybe the definition of "caring" I have is different. Most of her front desk staff are cranky and don't smile or make eye contact. Maybe they're stressed. But there is one, a young man, who is very nice. He is American like me and feels culturally like me. Dr Ling's impeccable skills and this young gentleman are two of the three reasons I give this practice 4 stars. The 3rd reason is because Dr Ling does try to squeeze people in (likely the very reason she's so busy), and I recently got lucky to be one who was squeezed in. I'd been experiencing "female organ" pain but my obgyn didn't have appts for over a week. I got a video call with Dr Ling minutes after I called the office. She had my chart, reminded me of the same issue I had 18 months ago, and prescribed the same medication. She also gave another prescription for prevention. Her staff sent in the 2 medications to Walgreens. Awesome! But this Walgreens in ssf turned out to be really bad. They kept losing the main one I needed. So Dr Ling's staff kept trying, finally resorting to a phone call, which is unusual these days because it takes time. So it turned out that one of the women at the front desk, and the nice young man pulled through for me even after 5pm when their office closes. So all in all, my net rating of Dr Jie Ling and staff is very positive. And maybe they're getting better at being more caring and nice by my definition. It seems so!

I believe Dr. JL is excellent based on her profile; however, try to get past her front desk staff…read morewho give attitude and create issues when things are simple to become established as a patient. You can't teach those type of intuitive skills, they are like a gift from God ! Other MD's in California (over 20,000 ) voted her in the top 50 Best Doctors . She not only shunned the Big Pharma snake oil reps during her tenure at Stanford but she often calls other Doctors to both understand a patients medical history or call them out for not giving the best standard of care or even misdiagnosing or just being lazy or just money motivated! That is rare in all Board certified practices and shows just how much she values her patients health over all else. She is no 5 minute , won't look you in the eye doctor but a prepare to have your entire life's physical and emotional demands queried. She now does only home visits AND is a much sought after consultant and Medical Director for 2 or 3 eating disorder and Integrative health facilities. I think she actually has TWO board certifications , Family Practice AND Integrative Medicine. Wow. Finally I believe her passion and hobby is the same as her job and she calls patients to follow up or share important news or discovering a state of the art new technique or procedure gleaned from the latest research journals. If you are lucky enough to be her patient you will find, like I, that you have found the best partner in your life to improve your health and well being. She is truly one of a kind and a natural born healer. I could expound on her skills in much greater detail bur I think she would prefer a more humble review. Our family just loves Doctor Page!

She never makes me feel rushed or like I can only talk about the issue that brought me in. She listens to the entire arc of what is happening in my life, work, relationships, stress, etc. and helps me see what impact things are having on one another. She has a wealth of information on how to approach issues with supplements and bodywork, along with more traditional methodologies. At the moment she works in Pacifica on Thursdays and in Half Moon Bay on other days. I highly recommend her for anyone, any age!

My previous family doctor within Sutter Health no longer practices and informed me at the end of…read more2024. I have Rx to refill and the previous doctor ordered lab tests for me, I need a new primary to follow up, so I made an appointment with Dr. Kaine and visited his facility in Daly City on 1/8/2025. Dr. Kaine looked through my lab results and let me get some vaccinations that day. To summarize what I want to share here: Dr. Kaine and his office billed me with a wrong code -- 99203: for "a new patient visit when a patient has not been seen within a department in the past three years within the Sutter network" (see Sutter Health billing letter attached). I have been seeing doctors within the Sutter Health network since October 2022 -- my previous family doctor. In the past three years, I had 3 office visits with doctors within Sutter Health (see attached My Health Online record and my Sutter Page). Besides the records showing I am definitely not new to Sutter Health, the visit with Dr. Kaine was a "follow-up", he was reading the lab result other doctors had ordered for me, he should have known those results were within the network and not more than 3 years old. I called Sutter Health's billing office regarding this issue, and I received the attached billing letter, and refused to correct the mistake. I called the billing office, the representative suggested I talk with the doctor's office because the doctor's office submitted the code. I printed out my visit records and billing letter and took them to the doctor's office, the office staff said they had nothing to do with billing, and gave me a small yellow slip with the billing office's phone number on it. I do not know how billing codes get determined and submitted, but based on what I experienced, either: 1) Dr. Kaine's staff did not know the codes well enough / ignored my records/ chose to treat me as a brand-new patient, or 2) Dr. Kaine himself, after reading through lab results NOT ORDERED BY HIM, decided to use a code for patients who haven't seen a doctor for more than 3 years. Either way is not professional, I do not recommend Dr. Kaine and his office at all. Just a FYI Dr. Kaine tags as "family medicine" but he told me he no longer seeing kids. If it's helpful for people looking for family doctors.
