They have tons of adorable Alpacas all with their own creative names and personalities to match! There's a lovely store where you can purchase hand spun alpaca yarn as well as assorted handmade item from both their own alpacas as well as lots of unique items imported from Peru. Things like hats, gloves, socks, sweaters, barn vests and throws just to name a few. As an avid knitter I was so excited to purchase some of their beautiful hand spun yarn. We also picked up a few pairs of socks made from alpaca that have even better wicking quality than merino wool. Perfect for hiking! Keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter! They have a lovely porch with comfortable chairs that you can sit and watch the sun set over the mountains. At night we left our windows open and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The only sound was the occasional alerts of their guard dogs ensuring their alpacas are kept safe. Both Janis & John were lovely. We very much enjoyed chatting with them. We will def be back!

On a quiet week day in the spring, we were able to enjoy the steep drive up the mountain and the views that greeted us without lots of people and cars coming and going. You can still buy the cider, donuts, ice cream, and more. You also can relax and shop their very cute country store, which sells locally made jams, syrups, mixes, and other foods. They also have lovely dish towels and many other such gift items. We recommend going both in the fall to be part of the festivities as well as in the spring and summer.

We were so disappointed we missed it and Bonnie the farm owner gave us the class anyway. We were so excited! We got to hear about her experiences and how she started the Lavender Farm. The wildflowers were gorgeous and fields of fragrant lavender abounded. The lavender ice cream was delicious and you must visit the Caboose to sample the Lavender products. A gorgeous place to walk around, take pictures and cut your own bouquets. I highly recommend visiting!

After the tasting we took a walk around the grounds taking in all the animals. Because it was winter, we didn't spend a lot of time in the lavender fields. We did however visit the lavender shop. I purchased a lavender honey spot and some delightful lemon crunch lavender ice cream. Overall staff were friendly. I would recommend this business for anyone in the area or visiting massanutten.

You really get to enjoy an immersive, interactive experience on the farm. There is something for everyone, from interactive gardens and live animals. The best for a cute little DIY wine tasting. You can bring your own charcuterie platters, which is what we did to go along with our tastings. They have tasting room called the Purple Wolf Vineyard where you can purchase your portable tastings, wine, beer and slushy flights . Nothing to bounce on. Pony rides are $10 each which seems a bit much. I like that there were big slides, there was a cute obstacle course and mini maze, and some other random things like tug of war and tetherball. For the age ranges of my kids (2-8), it felt meh compared to some other places I've been more in the Hampton roads area. We don't do the large corn mazes l due too the kids ages, they just get bored, so my suggestion would be to have a separate cost for corn maze. For reference, wood ridge farm brewery has a sand-filled playground, corn maze and a petting zoo for a bit cheaper... they do have a train, hay ride, and bounce house, but it all costs extra. I guess you can't have it all.

He was so kind and friendly. We got there a little early so we got to see the alpacas before they huddled up for our walk! We then met Dave's wife Terry who was equally as amazing. Our group had about 12 people in it. Once everyone arrived we were assigned / or got to choose or alpacas to begin our walk down the river! Dave and Terry provide so many interesting facts along the way and there is ample time for photos! They have a small gift shop on property and will provide recs for anything you want to do in the area after. Highly recommend, it was well worth the price of $35 a person for the several hours and it was just amazing to be able to walk the alpacas. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable experience! You had to pull me away to leave these beautiful animals!!

Quality chocolate, amazing fudge, old school sweets and licorice, proper salty snacks, the works. The sandwich shop is also fantastic. They are quick and affordable, with first quality ingredients. They are fast, especially given that they are customized, and the staff is fantastic. The whole place is spotless and keeps with the low key quality one would expect from Mennonites. Highly recommend.
