Our room was a handicap room (we knew this when we booked) due to a full hotel and this was the only non-smoking room with double beds left available. We thought our room had a slight odor, but it wasn't bad enough for us not to be able to stay there, besides we knew there weren't any more rooms available. That was the Only thing that kept us from leaving a 5 star rating...we would give a 4.5 if it were possible. The indoor pool area was small but clean and well kept. And of course my children loved it. The bathrooms near the pool were exceptionally clean. A continental breakfast was provided and offered a good variety. We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast and selection. There were the traditional pastries, cereal, yogurt, waffles, and breads along with sausage, gravy, biscuits, folded eggs, and egg and cheese omelets. Everything was tasteful and the staff servicing the breakfast was friendly, positive, and outgoing. There was a 24 hour coffee bar (regular and decaf) available in the main lobby. It was well stocked with multiple types and flavors of creamer, and various sugars and sweeteners. The coffee was very good and the bar well used by my family. There was also juice available all day and night. Our room included the following amenities: ironing board, iron, hair dryer, refrigerator, flat panel TV, free reliable WiFi (a speed test showed our room giving 1.6 Mbps), telephone, small table w/2 chairs, the tub included a handicap seat that could be folded up when not needed, also there was an adjustable shower head that could be raised and lowered and removed to be handheld if necessary. The air conditioner in our room worked great and kept the room very comfortable. The beds and pillows smelled fresh and were very comfortable...my whole family slept well. Overall the noise level of the whole hotel was pretty quiet. There was a short period of time in the morning when it was noisier, we assume because we were fairly close to the breakfast area and front lobby. There were several restaurants close by and some within walking distance of the hotel. Instead, my husband went to the counter and explained the situation. We were not offered another room but the attendant stated we would get a refund. They gave him two sets of sheets and we had to completely remake the beds ourselves. The room was dusty and appeared unvacuumed as well. In the morning, housekeeping literally put the bins right in front of our door and we had to move them to get out of our room. Then we went to the hotel breakfast room at 8:55 (the signs on the wall the night before had said open until 9:30am, but when we got there the door was locked, You could see three employees helping themselves to breakfast, and there was a handwritten sign taped over the door that said breakfast ended at 9am. The employees just stared at us expressionless even when we knocked, so we did not get breakfast, When we checked out, they tried to charge us full price, and when we repeated the events of the night before to the supervisor, there was no apology, no friendliness, but she did agree to a price reduction of 50%, which at that point we took to just get out the door and away from there.

The weekly rate that I was giving for a one king size bedroom was $180 a week. They have a microfridge and microwave. But that's the good part. Here are the cons: The rooms are small, but if you are working all the time like I am here, that shouldn't bother you. There is only one lady that cleans the whole motel, sometimes she recruits the hel of our kids. She is an older lady but the nicest one you could ever meet. She works 7 days a week, they need to hire some more help. A few times I came back from work to find out that I had no towels. There was a shooting during the course of the month and a half that I stayed there, you always here police sirens (i dont know what is going on in this po-dunk town to keep the police so busy) The bathroom had some water damage on the ceiling. My room has never gotten entirely clean (example, my sink still has toothpaste in it from the morning, my floors have only been vacuumed maybe a handfull of times). I also saw two mice run through my room, haven't seen any since.....but still saw them. I don't know, I suck it up because I am too tired to move everything after my 7 12-15 hour days. But if I were you, I would try and find somewhere else.

I pulled the very outdated, nasty bed spread off the bed and went to Walmart and bought a throw to put over me! Then the bathroom is horrible! It's dirty, so again I have to go and buy cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom before I would take a shower! The phone in the room i guess is just for looks, because it's not even plugged in nor does it even have a cord to plug it in! On my 2nd morning I get up for work and go to the bathroom and the toilet won't flush! I take my clothes off to take my shower and the shower won't work!! I go to the front desk to see if I could go to another room to take a shower and nobody is anywhere to be found! So I have to go to work without a shower on my 2nd day of work! When I get home from work the lady at the front desk tells me that they will let me switch rooms because the shower and toilet is not going to be fixed in my room for a week! So I have to pack all of my things and move to another room! The lady at the front desk I find out owns the hotel and she didn't apologize or anything for the inconvenience! I checked in on Sunday and today is Wednesday and there has only been 1 other guest in the entire place since I checked in! And with all of this, the price isn't cheap! They gave me the bill when I checked in and for 2 weeks my employer paid $874.00 and that is with a discount!! So please if you are in town for any reason and need a place to stay go somewhere else!!

We were traveling from magnet Indiana back home to Mount Pleasant Tennessee and our GPS took us on a very strange route however that was a blessing because we would have never stumbled across this gem. The manager was not on sight but my mother-in-law called the phone number on the door and he was there within 5 minutes. He also grabbed the keys to the available rooms to show us each room to see which one we would like. We had a large party of six he showed us the sweet which was simply adorable and a standard room with just two queen beds just as charming as a suite. The suite has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, we all could have stayed in the adorable suite but took that room and the cute standard room. It was less than the one suite we stayed in on Friday night at a very large chain hotel, and this was for two rooms.
