There were cigarette burns in the mattress cover, lamp shade had some questionable stains, and it smelled a little funky. We left a day early on our two day reservation to go to the best western nearby (it's leaps and bounds better). They advertise a pool but the pool had the cover on still and didn't look like it's been cleaned at all for the upcoming season. All in all, it wasn't very clean or inviting. I wish I could have gotten some pictures but we were just ready to get out. There was also a slim Jim wrapper that randomly appeared after our room was "cleaned" solid addition in my opinion but the wife didn't think so :/ In addition here's some pictures of the best western, they're FANTASTIC!

One of the mattresses had a large, measurable sag in the middle. If we hadn't already unpacked and gotten ready for bed we would have packed up then and there and left. Instead, my husband went to the counter and explained the situation. We were not offered another room but the attendant stated we would get a refund. They gave him two sets of sheets and we had to completely remake the beds ourselves. The room was dusty and appeared unvacuumed as well. In the morning, housekeeping literally put the bins right in front of our door and we had to move them to get out of our room. Then we went to the hotel breakfast room at 8:55 (the signs on the wall the night before had said open until 9:30am, but when we got there the door was locked, You could see three employees helping themselves to breakfast, and there was a handwritten sign taped over the door that said breakfast ended at 9am. The employees just stared at us expressionless even when we knocked, so we did not get breakfast, When we checked out, they tried to charge us full price, and when we repeated the events of the night before to the supervisor, there was no apology, no friendliness, but she did agree to a price reduction of 50%, which at that point we took to just get out the door and away from there.

The weekly rate that I was giving for a one king size bedroom was $180 a week. They have a microfridge and microwave. But that's the good part. Here are the cons: The rooms are small, but if you are working all the time like I am here, that shouldn't bother you. There is only one lady that cleans the whole motel, sometimes she recruits the hel of our kids. She is an older lady but the nicest one you could ever meet. She works 7 days a week, they need to hire some more help. A few times I came back from work to find out that I had no towels. There was a shooting during the course of the month and a half that I stayed there, you always here police sirens (i dont know what is going on in this po-dunk town to keep the police so busy) The bathroom had some water damage on the ceiling. My room has never gotten entirely clean (example, my sink still has toothpaste in it from the morning, my floors have only been vacuumed maybe a handfull of times). I also saw two mice run through my room, haven't seen any since.....but still saw them. I don't know, I suck it up because I am too tired to move everything after my 7 12-15 hour days. But if I were you, I would try and find somewhere else.

Funny how the only review here was from six years ago and the toilets STILL don't work. I said something about it the 2nd time and it wasn't until my 3rd stay here (the next day) did she send her daughter with a plunger. Did not help they need to get their plumbing fixed because my 1st stay here with my family, my brothers joined rooms toilet didn't work. The ants got into my son's sealed formula container. My mom stayed with my son & i and told me she was bit all night from the ants on her nightstand. I've traveled a lot and have stayed in hotels & sometimes motels all over the country, some of the places I've stayed have been in large cities where you can expect to get a bad room sometimes because of the amount of people staying. But you would expect in a very small town that a hotel would have a decent room! Well that is not true! The rooms are so nasty that I won't sleep under the cover on the beds! I pulled the very outdated, nasty bed spread off the bed and went to Walmart and bought a throw to put over me! Then the bathroom is horrible! It's dirty, so again I have to go and buy cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom before I would take a shower! The phone in the room i guess is just for looks, because it's not even plugged in nor does it even have a cord to plug it in! On my 2nd morning I get up for work and go to the bathroom and the toilet won't flush! I take my clothes off to take my shower and the shower won't work!! I go to the front desk to see if I could go to another room to take a shower and nobody is anywhere to be found! So I have to go to work without a shower on my 2nd day of work! When I get home from work the lady at the front desk tells me that they will let me switch rooms because the shower and toilet is not going to be fixed in my room for a week! So I have to pack all of my things and move to another room! The lady at the front desk I find out owns the hotel and she didn't apologize or anything for the inconvenience! I checked in on Sunday and today is Wednesday and there has only been 1 other guest in the entire place since I checked in! And with all of this, the price isn't cheap! They gave me the bill when I checked in and for 2 weeks my employer paid $874.00 and that is with a discount!! So please if you are in town for any reason and need a place to stay go somewhere else!!

We were traveling from magnet Indiana back home to Mount Pleasant Tennessee and our GPS took us on a very strange route however that was a blessing because we would have never stumbled across this gem. The manager was not on sight but my mother-in-law called the phone number on the door and he was there within 5 minutes. He also grabbed the keys to the available rooms to show us each room to see which one we would like. We had a large party of six he showed us the sweet which was simply adorable and a standard room with just two queen beds just as charming as a suite. The suite has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, we all could have stayed in the adorable suite but took that room and the cute standard room. It was less than the one suite we stayed in on Friday night at a very large chain hotel, and this was for two rooms. We will definitely be staying here again when we do some hiking and cave exploring. Absolutely love the Green River Lodge

We grilled one night and used the utensils the hotel had. We also used the laundry room several times and the small gym. The gym was nice. This hotel is pet friendly and there was a nice area out back for pets. The rooms were great too. Always clean and plenty of space with a full sized fridge. Most importantly the staff.
