I have been seeing Dr. Wells since she was at the prior location. I always had good experiences. The last time I went to get my contacts updated she had a student. They asked if it was OK and I said yes. Big mistake. I didn't like the prescription. I called and went in but got the student again. She changed it. It still isn't working for me. I have been struggling and finally decided to call to try and get something that works. They said it had been over 60 days so I would have to pay again. Totally disappointed. read more

This location has fast service. They don't have anyone hounding you and give you space to try on glasses. With the Pandemic, they do require a mask to be worn and provide you with a bin to place any glasses touched into so they can sanitize before placing back on the racks. Both my son and I have received glasses fairly quick, within 4-5 days when they tell you it's 10-14. The selection on high end designer glasses is lacking but they do have have a large selection of economically priced glasses if you are looking to save money. read more

Been here before..but this time it was ok . Made an appointment but still waited like 40 minutes before seeing the doctor. I was upsold some pills I was told I needed . They've done nothing so far, and they were expensive, but i guess thats my fault. The men's selection was poor . I needed to get my annual vision exam, I haven't had one in years. I made an appointment with Dr.Wells. Place is neat and clean with an amazing array of glasses frames. The exam was great. She is very knowledgeable in her field. Plus with the new machines they have, they didn't have to do the air puff in my eye which I hate! My vision had changed slightly and Dr. Wells gave me some contacts to try out and I got the prescription for my glasses. I can see perfectly! read more

We have used Today's Vision for many years for both glasses and contacts and have always been pleased with the professionalism and service of both the staff and the Doctor. Many of our staff member's have also used them and have been extremely happy. My main store manager dropped his glasses and they were fixed the same day, which was important as he did not have a spare set! Dr Caroline Wells took over the practice about a year ago and we could not be more pleased with the larger range of custom frames that are now available, I recommend that you visit their store, especially if you have young children. read more

To say Dr Wells is amazing would be an understatement. I've always hated going to the eye doctor because it would take so long and really who has that kind of time? Dr Wells did the exam quickly without making me feel like I was rushed. She answered all of my questions and even said if I thought of other questions to just call or stop by. I was in and out of there in 1 1/2 hours. That's was all my fault because I loved the selection of glasses so much it took me forever to decide. Really impressed with this office and the staff. Walked in here one late afternoon right before they closed due to an issue I was having with my eyes. They were very welcoming, friendly, and made an exception to see me right before they closed. The doctor was knowledgeable and efficient. Due to the time, my insurance couldn't be verified, however the office staff made sure to verify the next morning and refunded me the extra I paid with no hassle! Overall very very please and would definitely recommend and be back with my family for our optometry needs. read more

We are new to Katy so I was excited to go to Today's Vision, got right in (this should have been my first clue) Went to to my appointment and was making small talk with the doctor, asked her where she's from and she got offended. (I should have walked then, but didn't) She then informed me that the contact lens I have been wearing for over 2 years, she refuses to work with that manufactor for ethical reasons, so she put me in a trial lens of Accuview, which I have NEVER liked. Anyway, ordered my glasses and sunglasses and went on my way. A week later when my glasses came in, put them on and couldn't see out of them at all!! Had a rcheck with the doctor, script was the same, so they sent the glasses out to be remade, claiming I wasn't adjusting to the lens material (I found out later it was the SAME lens material as the glasses I've been wearing for over a year). When they came in again, same thing, couldn't see. Thankfully, my insurance allowed me to have a new eye exam at a different clinic, so I went to Mann Eye Institute (who were FABULOUS btw) and Mann Eye got a completely different prescription for my glasses. However this wasn't the reason I couldn't see, the sphere was WRONG on Today's Vision glasses. So I am leaving this review to say, if you are looking for a GOOD eye doctor with competent opticians and staff, this is NOT your place. Do NOT go to Today's Vision Katy!! read more

I've had nothing but issues with this location. First off, I changed my ordered before it was placed and received the correct amount of contact boxes. When I asked about getting my money back for the boxes I didn't order but had already paid for they told me they had already submitted my refund and I should be receiving in shortly. After about a month when I had not received a check I called back to see what had happened. They told me they knew nothing about a refund check and saw no comments on my file. I reminded them that I originally requested 4 boxes but when I called back to place my actual order I decided I only wanted to try a 6 months supply. They told me they would see what they could do and get back to me. They called me 2 weeks later and said that my contacts were in. I told them that I didn't order any contacts that I just wanted my refund check for the boxes I didn't received. They told me again they didn't know what I was talking about. I explained the whole story over again and both ladies I spoke with sounded like they didn't know what was going on and told me I could pick up my contacts the following day before noon. At this point I was so frustrated i just dropped the whole subject and said ok fine. It's been 4 months and I finally tried to pick up my contacts and they were closed. So secondly, all the websites say they are open until 5:30 but they really close at 5:00. This is by far the worse experience I've ever dealt with from any company. read more

I liked Dr Wells very much. I received a great exam. They didn't verify my benefits prior to my appointment and I had to pay full price for my exam which should have been free under my insurance. They we're suppose to correct and reimburse me with a few days. It's been two weeks and it hasn't been resolved yet. I'm not happy with how they deal with optical insurance. read more

Dr wells seemed nice and friendly at first, but then continued to push that I purchase glasses in addition to my contact lenses, even though my insurance will only cover one or the other. She also changed my contact lense brand that I've been wearing for over 3 years to her preferred brand. When it came time to order my contact lenses, my current insurance is a little different than traditional ones, and for some reason requires me to submit a form signed by both the Dr. And myself, saying that they can pay the provider directly for my contact supply. Dr wells refused to place the order unless I paid upfront and out of pocket and did not even have anyone verify that my insurance would, in fact, pay them directly. When I told her I couldn't afford to pay upfront, so that I would just order them online since it was cheaper, she and her staff for very defensive and angry. I even had to argue with them about GETTING MY PRESCRIPTION from them to submit to another supplier. I guess changing my contact brand to her preferred brand was pointless if she wasn't getting a commission off it... While waiting for my contacts to arrive, one of my contacts tore. With no replacements on hand I called her office and asked if I could buy a pair of trial lenses for emergency purposes. She and her staff argued with me about how since I did not order my lenses from them I would need to go somewhere else to get a replacement until my order came in. Finally, after 45 minutes of me begging to just get ONE contact so that I could see dr wells finally agreed. I am so saddened that dr. Shepard is no longer with us. He was the best dr I've ever had. Very pleasant and kind. Dr wells seems to only be out to make a penny, and does not seem to realize yet that she is in an occupation that requires her to HELP people. I've been going to this particular today's vision since my first vision exam in the 7th grade. Needless to say, this last visit will be my last. read more

I visited the office on 03/10/2015, I had to use walking, reading and computer glasses, now I have one progrssive glasses that covers the three glasses, the exam and the glasses selction did not take more that 30 min, Frindly front disc, very smart doctor, she listened curfully and gave the advise , she could see the start of cataract in my eyes, no painful drops , the office is fully equiped, I picked the glasses after two weeks, I am pleased with this offic read more

This doctor will make you get your eye's dilated EVERY time you go there. I had to wait for 45 mins to see the doc, even though I had an appointment. Selection of frames was slim and expensive. Took forever for my frames to come in and MONTHS for them to file the claim with my insurance. Also, the doctor asked me when I was due. I told him I wasn't pregnant and he didn't even apologize.
