I had an appointment at 9:30am for my son. Dr. Zebin Dholasaniya arrived LATE and walked past my son and I, looking straight ahead and then greeted her office staff. She then proceeded to assist a walk in patient without an appointment, keeping us waiting for 25 minutes. Upon entering the exam room the doctor offered no apologies for the wait. I understand emergencies happen but courtesy should be extended to the waiting party. When I mentioned this to her she attempted to tell me that usually patients arrive with the contacts in. 1. My son didn't have any contacts left 2. It's irrelevant to her being late and unapologetically seeing someone before us. read more

Dr. Chetti is really wonderful! Our visit was thorough and my wife and I were both made to feel like we were in good hands. The practice staff were so polite and helpful and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We had been here a few years back and I remembered having a really good experience - but there was an issue with the appointment staff and they have obviously done a good job correcting that. It seems they have recently trained the staff to put in a little bit of extra effort to make patients really feel valued and welcome. From making the appointments all the way to selecting frames and working out what options we had the staff was great! I also appreciated the wide variety of frames that were available to choose from. Most of the time I have a hard time finding a pair of glasses I feel I can just "live with" and at other places I feel like I was just settling with my choices, but here my wife and I were able to find two pairs each that we love. Richmond Eye Experts have been my go to for exams and glasses for several years now. I was recently in to get new glasses and for some reason my insurance indicated I did not have eye coverage, which I do. I eventually called my insurance company while I was at the office. Andrew spoke with the insurance company and was finally able to get me squared away! Glasses ordered. When my glasses arrived there was a problem with the prescription and Andrew promptly contacted the company to get corrected. A few days later I received my glasses and they are perfect. Andrew was so helpful in getting the problems with both my insurance & glasses, I can't thank him enough. I was seen here a couple of years ago and absolutely LOVED the experience. When I was due for my yearly eye exam I received a text message to call and schedule mine and my sons exam. They receptionist was busy as agreed to call back and she never did. This year I followed the instructions they have in their voice mail to book appt on line Through their website. I logged and requested two appts and never heard from anyone. I called and was told their system was down and they would call me back to schedule. AGAIN NO call back. I called foe the third time and was told everything was booked. It's super frustrating to try to book an appointment I think this was my last ditch effort and I will not be returning. I started coming here two years ago. I really like having Dr. Chetti as my optometrist so I brought my brother and sister to get glasses/contacts here. She really does care about her patients. I just wish that the glasses there were more affordable. I paid $240 for a pair of glasses and that's with insurance. I asked the eyes wear consultant for the frame that would cover under my insurance. She showed me the glasses that was range from $400-500. I didn't want to be picky so I just kind of choose the second one I picked up. I need the glasses as soon as possible for my online classes. It's hard for me to read because I have astigmatism. I will continue coming here to get my annual checkup but won't be purchasing any glasses from here again. read more

I bought new glasses here about six months ago. Dr. Chetti is great. This is the 2nd time I've purchased eye ware here. The first time was pretty good. However, I had to return a couple of times to get the glasses adjusted as they became too tight on my head after wearing for awhile. The most recent pair is much worse they get tight on my head after a short while and leave pretty good creases on my head. I have had them adjusted many times as well and I still have a problem. It was time for my annual exam and I was able to make an appointment for the same day which was remarkable and greatly appreciated. I came in here on a Saturday (which I love they have weekend hours) with my husband and two littles in diapers. Dr. Chetti and her husband Joe are very relatable and friendly. I love how Dr. Chetti has newer technology in her office so no more air poofs in my eyes. She listened to all of my concerns and was able to address them and provide options and solutions that best tailored to my eye needs. She explained that being postpartum can also affect the eyes which I never knew! As much as I liked Dr. Chetti, after reviewing my bill I realized they charged me more than what I requested when it came to my insurance. My husband asked to exhaust the allowance from our insurance which means giving him a 3 month supply in contacts, instead they charged us with a 6 months supply which resulted in paying more than he wanted for in contacts. In addition, I asked to get a quote for my glasses and was told they will send it to me in an email but never received it. They also charge you $5 for a nose piece replacement if you didn't purchase your frames from them. As I understand this is a business establishment, I just rather have them honor my request when it comes to how much I want to purchase in contact supplies. read more

I walked into honestly the most beautiful eye center I have ever seen. The colors scheme, chairs, floors cabinets, ceiling and even chandelier are very warm and inviting. It was like entering a high quality spa, but for your eyes. Then I met the staff and owners who were just as wonderful as I would expect at such a place. The place is clean and makes you feel less like a customer and more like a family being treated at home. The Dr. Chettiparampil and her husband Joe are so welcoming, knowledgeable and honest. My wife first went there to since to have a few things checked out and I had to go for something going on with one of my eyes.
