Thats one of the little critters who greeted me in the bathroom. Disgusting...

This avoid this hotel. The Cleanliness terrible, customer service terrible, many elevators were broken, update the hotel as a whole not just the lobby, do something about the roaches yes roaches as in more than one. This place is really just an oversized over priced highway motel. Just dont do it.

First the heating I got two rooms one was hit even when we turned it off the other was freezing. Staff did nothing to help. Ice rink closed all weekend. I came in the off season but still I will never stay here again just based off of the heating cooling situation the rooms need a major upgrade definitely not worth the price

Terrible experience First room we checked into was filthy and in bad disrepair they didn't want to let us change rooms at first When we finally was able to convince them to change our room the 2nd room tv was messed up and balcony doors didn't lock I not coming back here 9/22/24 Now the door knob came off and we got stuck in the room Maintenance is the only nice ones here

I traded my timeshare from Interval International to stay at the Carousel Oceanfront Hotel & Condos. The first room we were in had no working heat and the age of the room was showing. We were moved to a second room where the heat did work. The room was not cleaned thoroughly before we were moved to the room. The hotel send housekeeping to re-clean the bathroom, however, it did not look much cleaner when they left. The light switches looked like they had not been wiped off in a while. The staff was exceptional, professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, they could not address the poor condition of the rooms.

This hotel has been my family's traditional hotel for the past few years. Upon arrival check in is usually the same. We are greeted by a desk clerk giving us papers to sign, tag for our vehicle, payment is made and keys to our room. On our last visit when checking in, we noticed one elevator was not working causing a huge line for guests to wait on. Within hours the elevator was fixed, and all were up and running. One of the main reasons we come, is for the ice-skating show held here. Unfortunately, this year they had no ice-skating show. When questioned why, we were informed that the performers were contracted with Disney. So glad we got to experience many years of watching them perform. Every day, the hotel has different events and activities, such as painting shells, swimming, with mermaids, live music, family photos, movies on the beach etc. The outside pool is not as big as expected. The inside pool is very big and has a Jacuzzi. There are two arcade rooms. One of the rooms was not that great as most of the games stated unavailable when trying to play. The bistro menu was not up-to-date. Was told they did not have a machine to heat large pizza so we had to get the 10" pizza. The pizza wings, pretzel and soda totaled about $30 and kids enjoyed it. At the beach bar we had giant beef nachos, chicken, tenders, burger, and fries. That was more than enough food for a party of five. When heading to the beach, they have a section where you can borrow their beach chairs. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. I thought this was due to Covid, but they continue to follow this system of cleaning once your stay is over. And the one time we were not in our room early morning, they did come in to take towels located on the floor and left new towels. If you need additional towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. I recommend going to the front desk and they will quickly provide it for you. At times the cleaning crew would knock on our door and ask us to hand them the dirty towels and bags, in exchange for new ones. Not sure why this policy is still in place but daily cleaning would make our stays a lot better and rooms much cleaner, especially for families who enjoy doing the beach on a daily basis. By the second day our room was beyond sandy. In all, this hotel reminds me of an upscale motel. It is an absolute family oriented location. With a few touches here and there this place has extreme potential.

Our main grievance was the mold in the bathroom baseboard and outside the bathroom in the hallway . The closet door in the hallway came off as we opened it . There are so many slats missing from the blinds in main bedroom on door to balcony that there may as well not be any on it. I complained to Rebecca in the Long and Foster office at the Plaza. I emailed Marlene (our rental agent) the second day there. to no avail. I also complained to Sandy in the office. I am sure these issues were advised by previously renters. Rebecca also confirmed that the cleaners "had not made it" to our room to clean it. The bathroom was disgusting with urine stains and hair on the rim. The free Wi-Fi was spotty at best It has soured our minds as to booking at the Plaza in the future or even with Long and Foster ever again.

As soon as you walk into #1501 you can feel the strong sense of pride in ownership of this unit. The owner is meticulous and organized and has gone above and beyond to make sure his/her visitors are comfortable. The until is not completely updated but has been well maintained over the years. The furnishings and decorations in the unit are ones I would have chosen and we loved the shutters in the bedrooms. The beds were also very comfortable! We felt very safe and comfortable in #1501 with our children. There are child locks on all the cabinets and step stools available as well. You can tell the owner has thought through everything. Everything is labeled and there are even pictures to show where everything goes. I hope that one day I can be this organized! The owner includes internet access and has all the info posted on a bulletin board in the unit. There is also a welcome packet and extra supplies of random things if you forgot something. The only issues we had with the unit (and why I took off one star) is the microwave is old and didn't work well. There were instructions posted on top since it is old, and I did follow them. The kitchen and bathrooms could use updating but are functional. The water wasn't heating up in the second bathroom so we just used the master but the drain cover was not attached so we had to be careful with the kids. As for the Quay directly, all the staff was very friendly and welcoming to myself and my family. We did not get to use all the facilities so I cannot speak to those. The view and location of The Quay is perfect and we had no issues with parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Quay #1501 and would definitely return if the opportunity arises. Thanks for letting us use your lovely home!

There was a hole in the all, loose tiles and evidence of mold and mildew all over. The water line to the ice maker leaked, leaving constant water all over our food in the refrigerator. On day 1 the electronic lock failed and wouldn't lock. Maintenance replaced it with a brand new lock out of the box. Day 2 the new lock failed and wouldn't unlock, locking us out. Fortunately it was during office hours and we were able to get a key to override the electronics and get in. Maintenance had to again replace part of the lock. Other more permanent residents told us the electronic locks are a constant source of problems. The oven and cooktop were very dirty, The unit has had no updates since what looks like 1980. Light bulbs were burned out all over and no replacements available. Light fixture in the bathroom was burnt and cracked so even if you wanted to replace the bulbs you probably couldn't. The unit does have 3 balconies with the oceanfront being a wrap around. Would have been nice if there had been more than 2 dilapidated wicker chairs available to sit on. No other balcony furniture was available. The A/C doesn't keep the common area cool but does make the master bedroom feel like a meat locker. I do not recommend anyone renting unit 801. I don't know if we will ever go back to Summer Beach again.

The room is very 1980's and is run down from a lack of maintenance. The HVAC is so overwhelmed it never shuts off. 801 is one of the best views I've ever seen from a condo in OCMD, the building itself is in good shape and no elevators broke down and walkways were well maintained,so I would stay here again, but whoever owns 801 PLEASE update and maintain this unit better!

Most of the owners here are welcoming and help make this community truly special. That said, during the week of September 7, 2025, there was a deeply unpleasant incident with renters on the third floor. A family staying there was loudly screaming racial slurs. It was disturbing, offensive, and completely out of line with the spirit of the Capri. Incidents like this not only make residents and guests uncomfortable, but they also harm the reputation of the building. Management should take a hard look at screening and rental policies to prevent situations like this from happening again. The Capri deserves better, and the people who call it home take pride in keeping it a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly place. Overall, I love this community and everything it offers, but I hope the necessary steps are taken so that everyone's experience continues to reflect the best of what the Capri has to offer.
