Amazing place, comfy beds, AC blew cold air and it was right on the beach! The indoor pool was a hit, especially since we had two rainy days. They have a cafe called "My Place" where you can order breakfast, lunch and ice cream. It's right across the street from a movie theater, grocery store and restaurants. It wasn't crowded at all and the views from the balcony were stunning. Elevators were always prompt. Excellent place to stay!

Overall, our stay was a complete nightmare. My mother-in-law caught her leg on the bed frame sticking out. She was bleeding. Not pleasant at all. Terrible sleeping experience. Not one mattress was comfortable. Outdated everything. The old television and missing fire stick made the room experience lacking. The windows were not double pane so all the traffic was heard at night. We could not run the microwave while watching tv, and using the WiFi and attempt plug anything into the outlet near the oven. Had to reset from the electrical box. Also, blinds were awful at keeping out the lights from the bustling street below and morning sun. The doors on the balconies were faulty and did not lock too well. We also have little children and there were a couple cautions that we steered them away from. A hole next to the stairs and the patio access in all the bedrooms. It was not ideal security-wise. Especially in the kids room where there is an open door to the entire floor. We would not stay here again or recommend to anyone we liked. The only thing it has is close proximity to the beach. When booking we thought we wouldn't care or stay in the room a lot. But the bad parts stuck out and made the vacation harder to enjoy.FYI I do not trust a lot of reviews on here.

Three stars for the Sea Watch Condo. It looks like it's trying to be some type of resort but it fell short for me. To be honest, it made me feel like I didn't want to go out on the beach at all. I felt pent up in the room. Maybe if vacationing with small kids it would be a better idea. - First arriving: it's $50 per car to park In the garage. Ok. NP.. The process to check in and get a paper sign permitting you to park is from the Flintstones Era. The garage employees were nice, but there's a LINE of people waiting to turn In papers and money while other Dingos hold up the line to stand there and fill out the paperwork. Grab the paperwork, fill it out. Come back and get in line. Would be so much faster. I mean come on its 102 degrees out here!! They need a ticket puncher and crossing bar. -They have two types of luggage carts. I'm practical and didn't need to use any of those, however some people dumped all their clothes and belongings in them. No luggage. Just dumped stuff Into a blue rolling cart. It looked cheap and dirty. And they took up a LOT of room in the already slow elevators. We were on the 13th floor. How many times did we wait more than 11 min for the elevator? Not kidding. Then to find when the door opens, it's a couple people with the enormous blue carts! What in the actual hell is going on here? That dissuaded me from wanting to go to the beach 2x a day. It was awful. -Amenities were nice. Tennis, volleyball playground, movie theater, billiards room, sauna, workout room, indoor and outdoor pool plus a kid sprinkler area and an arcade. Arcade at $1 per play. I played 5x and that was my cap. $1 per play. Come on! The leaf blowers, even up on the 13th floor, mind you, sounded like they were sawing trees outside my bedroom. Thanks for that. It seemed non stop for at least 2 of my 5 days. The unit was small. I did like it but remember who you're with and your toleration limit! Tvs in every room. Nice size kitchen. There was no noise or stomping to be heard from any surrounding units. The unit was clean enough and didnt have any issues like another Yelper described, however I can understand their situation. I liked the faucets and showers on the beach ramp. We had a view of the ocean front and the street so it worked out overall. My preference is some thing further North like Barefoot Country. Rustic and a lot less people around. I also enjoyed last years location better as well. The Golden Sands. .

1408 don't ever rent this unit. We rented from Coldwell Banker and it was awful. We have been going to Ocean City for 27 years, this was my worst experience. There was mold in the bathroom, the toilet doesn't work, and you don't have hot water for two minutes in the shower. The unit is for sale for $334,000 but it needs about $80,000 for the updates. Rent some other place from Century 21 in the same building though, because the amenities are nice.

    Unit 802, master bdr

oceanfront unit 802 is great with wonderful ocean and bay views, steps from the beach. Great for families of 8 or less. New kitchen appliances, 2 pools, basketball, tennis, free movies and right on the beach. Wi-Fi, 4 TVs, DirectTV, Netflix, kids playground, sauna, video games, covered parking, and more. The place looked like it had barely been cleaned. * there were stains on the mattress covers in the master bedroom and an upstairs bedroom; no telling when they were actually washed. * ants crawling all over the kitchen counters to the point where we didn't even want to cook * for the first two days, there were flies EVERYWHERE * the floors in the livingroom/kitchen were filthy * there was a USED straw behind the coffee maker * the bed in the master bedroom was just uncomfortable; the comforter is as thin as a piece of paper * one of the sofas was so dirty, I had to sit on a towel during my stay * speaking of towels/wash cloths, they felt like sand paper; you might be better off bringing your own. They did send in someone to "reclean" and all we got for our trouble, was a free mini golf. Never again.

I am emailing to let you know the multitude of issues we are having with our rental property of 39668 Seaside Dr. We have tried calling and resolving these issues several times over the last 3 days but nothing has been done to resolve the issues. I am now emailing to document the communication (or lack there of). Issue 1: The house has not been properly cleaned for a very long time. As the photos show there is massive amount of dirt, dust, and hairs coming out of every vent in the home. This appears to be several months of accumulation and when the air conditioning kicks on it blows this material all over the house. Issue 2: As the photos show, The bathroom showers have black mold in them. We have 3 young children including a new born so this is very concerning Issue 3: The internet has not worked our entire stay and everyday we are being told that we have to wait for for the company to send a rep that never show up. We were just told for the third time to wait for several hours instead of the management company handling this issue. On top of the fact we had to spend the first three days of our vacation waiting for your technicians, we also don't feel comfortable taking on the liability of third party contractors working on the home on the owners behalf. When we shared this with management they told us we signed a contract that internet may not be available so they are not responsible. After reviewing the general state of the home I wouldn't be surprised if there was never internet at all and the contract is used to protect management from having to pay for any internet service at all. Issue 4: As seen in the photo attached there are electrical outlets sticking out of the wall with sharp screws dangling out of them. Issue 5: The carpets are very dirty and covered with both dirt and stains. It appears the carpets have been even vacuumed or cleaned for a very long time. Issue 6: Not a serious issue but for a $1000 night rental the place is in general disarray. For example the tv has random wires and cords just hanging off the mantle. I'm just including as generally it appears zero effort has been made to prepare this home for renters. As some that has been renting dozens of properties on VRBO & Airbnb for 10+ years I just couldn't imagine thinking this is an acceptable state.

Absolutely terrible experience -- DO NOT rent from Sandcastle Realty…read more After years of wonderful vacations in Bethany Beach, our family's trust in this company has been completely shattered. We've rented from Sandcastle for many years, always taking pride in leaving every home spotless and following every checkout instruction. Yet in recent years, we've faced repeated problems getting our security deposits back -- endless delays, vague accusations, and outright lies about the condition of the properties. This past summer was the final straw. After a storm from Hurricane Erin, we reached out several times to have the pool cleaned. We were ignored for most of the week, leaving the pool filthy and unusable for our kids. Still, we cleaned the house thoroughly before leaving -- wiped surfaces, swept floors, scrubbed bathrooms, and made sure everything was in better shape than when we arrived. We even took photos and video as proof. Months later, we were told we wouldn't be getting our security deposit back because the house was supposedly left a "mess." That claim is completely false -- and honestly insulting. Our family includes members with health conditions that made us extra careful about cleanliness. The whole experience has felt dishonest and exploitative. After decades of happy memories in Bethany Beach, it's heartbreaking that Sandcastle Realty has made it stressful to come here. Based on how they've handled our last few rentals, it feels like the owner, Doug, is running a scam -- taking people's deposits under false pretenses and violating Delaware law. To anyone thinking of renting from this company: beware. The home might look lovely online, but the peace of mind and trust that make a vacation special are long gone. What a sad way to end so many years of family tradition.

Rebecca also confirmed that the cleaners "had not made it" to our room to clean it. The bathroom was disgusting with urine stains and hair on the rim.
