Deb was able to get her special cocktails as the bartender was really good. We got the sausage board. It was really good! Some many great flavors and was a good start. We have eaten downstairs, upstairs and even gotten take out during covid lockdown and everytime the food has been amazing but for what we get it seems a little high. I would give them 5 stars for the food and atmosphere but I feel the pricing is a little high but not enough to keep us away but enough to make us think about how much we eat and drink when we go. (They even have wagons!!!) We are smitten by the Coconut Inn and you should not hesitate to book. We brought a box fan just for a noise barrier and we have a golden so he gets warm. After just returning home from our stay in Treasure Island, Florida, I had to make time to write…read morethis review and express how pleased I was with everything about Westwinds Waterfront Resort. We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!

Beautiful view of the inter-coastal waterway from the rear of the building. Complimentary passes to the Yacht Club which was also an upscale and pleasant afternoon diversion. Rum runners by the pool. Walk to Bilmar Hotel 1.5 blocks away for excellent beach with cabanas for rent. The cabana service will also line you up with superb sandwiches and cold beers from Treasure Island Market. The Bilmar Sloppy Joes has admirable sized Margaritas (62 oz) if you like something stronger.

So incredibly dirty I was repulsed. TOTALLY. I was nervous to say the least but the reviews here don't lie except maybe they're not good ENOUGH on Booking. And Yelp had 0 reviews!!! Yes y'all I came from a DUMP of a hotel to here. But I've stayed at the Sirata, Tradewinds, many Hilton and Marriott and Hyatt and Holiday Inns and I'd take this over all. We have a FULL kitchen. Stove, sink, full fridge & a Keurig for those who like that. (I'm a shop local coffee girl...) And y'all it's CLEAN. It doesn't smell. It is CUTE. The front desk staff is FRIENDLY. After I completed my reservation I called to ensure that my kids ages didn't matter, since I had somehow gotten 5/9 as the ages on the reservation and it is in actuality 7/9. Anyway...I didn't know if that would be an issue so I called. The woman on the phone was SUPER friendly and said it did not matter. I also asked if we could wait by the pool until 4pm since that was check in. She told me that if we are in the area she'd be HAPPY to check us in early OR we can wait by the pool (or in it,) while they get our room ready. They were SO accommodating. When we arrived, I had already received a text stating that our room was ready. Check in was a piece of cake. We had an issue and couldn't get our door to unlock but they resolved it IMMEDIATELY and honestly we felt a bit like VIP's because we had almost the full staff here helping us. First night and my only complaint is thaty husband wants it too cold inside and I want it warmer!!! If I NEED to, I'll update with negatives but so far WE love it. Pool towels provided AT the pool, shuffleboard. Swim anytime. Shuffleboard anytime. And the pool is LOVELY as are the lounge chairs. Very comfy. I LOVE that it's right on the intercoastal and RIGHT across the street from the beach. Location is AMAZING. This place is pure Florida vacation bliss.

Everything is in walking distance from the complex as well, and parking included. We will no longer stay anywhere else when we come to St. Pete!

There's hardly a lobby, just a small front desk but if you have a car you park under the building and walk in through the back. It feels very wrong and is definitely an odd setup. However, the hotel is very clean and well-kept overall. The room was nice, if not setup a bit strangely as we had a 2-bed suite that had the longest hallway I've ever seen in a hotel, just to get to the kitchen. The view on the balcony is incredible, of course, but I wasn't overly impressed otherwise. They have a pool but it's pretty small and gets crowded fast. If you don't get seats at the pool early in the morning you might not be able to find some later, especially if you stay over a weekend. There is a private access path to the beach but I clocked that it is at least .3 miles from the hotel to the beach- you walk far less just parking at public access. They have a small bar where you can get select drinks and a few food items. But it's not much- you are relatively on your own in that regard otherwise. The rooms do have a kitchen but I know the majority of people don't want to cook while on vacation. You also can't really ask for a variety of drinks from the bar- we asked for one not on the menu and one sweet bartender was going to help us figure it out until her manager, a blonde lady, made a huge fuss over it not being on the menu. It was very unsavory how she acted and even other guests at the bar during my that time noticed how uncomfortable it was. This woman was also just not real friendly working at the front desk while we were there either. The maintenance guys were great and keep everything in great shape- mopping the pool area every morning, making sure the path is nailed down and everything is in order. They are also very strict about parking- each room gets one car to park onsite and they send emails pit about it nearly every night. It seems really inefficient and like there has to be a better way to system that. Overall we had a good stay but I don't think I'd come back. There are so many other beachfront resort options, and for the price and what you get not too sure that it's worth it unless you got a really good deal.
