One of my favorite Italian restaurants, located in bal harbour. The restaurant has a nice outside area and inside as well. Great atmosphere and quality food. The service is good but really it use to be better, it's declined a bit after covid, not sure why. I usually get the seafood spaghetti with a whole lobster, shrimp and mussels on white sauce. ( the pasta is perfectly cooked and has the right amount of sauce ). ( Big portion ). But easy to finish ). Also please try the Dulce de leche soufflé dessert. Amazing dessert, ( comes warm, right amount of sweetness, full of Dulce de leche and a side of ice cream. ( can't skip this dessert ). On this day the waiter was really nice and made sure everything came to the table on time. As well as made his recommendations alongside the specials of the day with a smile. Really really nice restaurant. We came here for a family meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the calamari (tried both the grilled and fried versions) and the Fettucine Genovese was outstanding. We also tried a couple of pizzas - these were good, but I've had better at other Italian restaurants. I would stick with the pasta or veal (I highlight in my family). Service was also a particular highlight. Really high class and professional! We were worried about getting a seat (since they didn't take reservations), but there are plenty of seats indoors, on the patio, and in the mall. Give this place a try! read more

I've given this place a try at least 10 times in my life time since my mom love it for a trendy reason as it's located in the middle of the bal Harbour plaza. As a European who's gone to Italy many times It's just embarrassing to call this Italian food. They will try to rob you as much as they can, the food is not good what's so ever. The service is terrible, and they only hire waiters that learn to be fake since they deal with a specific type of clientele. This place is REALLY GOOD! Been here twice. Had the eggplant parmigiana and was the best I ever had. The bread and salad was also great. The second time I had a plain cheese pizza and that was made exactly the way I asked well done crispy. Don't like it wet and sloppy. Great pizza and salad. Carpaccio sits on the outer edge of the Bal Harbor Shops which makes it an excellent choice for people watching when you are in the area. We stopped in for dinner the other night. Know that they don't take reservations so you may have to wait for a table although they do a good job of moving people through. I sat at the bar sipping a perfectly poured martini while I waited for my friends. Definitely an interesting assortment of people. Some were eating their dinner at the bar and many were just enjoying the ambiance. My friends got there shortly after I did and we were shown to a table in the main area. Our server was quick with suggestions and we ordered most of everything she suggested including the pasta special of the day which had lobster and a range of seafood. It was DELICIOUS and I would go back again just for that pasta dish! Portion sizes are large so you will probably end up with food to take home. The menu really has something for everyone from soups and salads to pizza, to traditional pasta dishes, to beef, veal , chicken and fish and some amazing good risotto! My friend had the lentil soup and I had soup envy throughout most of the evening because it smelled so good. Another nice thing is that they have valet service out front. I laughed when the guy asked me if I wanted to pay more to keep my car up front or if it would be "okay" going to the garage? I sent it to the garage with the other cars but I did like seeing the "eye candy" cars that were parked out front . . .clearly you are what you drive at this place! Loved this place! It was my first time here and the staff was awesome and accommodating right from the start. First of all, the fact that they had a purse stand/holder for us was impressive The food was great! If you can sit outside, it's fun to watch the fancy cars drive by and people watch! It's a restaurant for all occasions (business, girls dinner, family friendly, birthday). My friends and I shared everything and the portions were large. I would love to visit it again when we're in the city. I was a little surprised that they charged us for the birthday dessert (chocolate cake was heavenly!) , especially since 3 of us ate for 5. Bad service, bar tenders don't really care to serve you well. Had an espresso martini, was the worst one I've had. 20$ for that.

I ate there with a few friends. The atmosphere felt overcrowded, very noisy and hectic. The pizzas were okay but a fish main course was overpriced and not very good. Hi, at April 6th, around 06:30 PM i was in your restaurant with my wife and the waiter dropped a tray of glasses, glasses and dishes at my wife, cut her leg and destroyed her pants (Alo Yoga, around 200$). All damages recorded. Nobody said "sorry" for us and nobody helped. I asked also to call a doctor. Nobody did it. In attachments you can see what your employees did and feel happy. MY WIFE and me now feeling very bad and unhealthy depend on behavior your employees and what they did with us tonight! Be careful, guys, if you want to come to that place! Been coming here for years every time we're in Miami and consistently have never had a bad experience. The food is always to die for, service is always fast and super friendly, and it's so nice to sit outside after a day of shopping for a great dinner. The eggplant and artichoke stuffed with fontina are always a must order, same with the classic arugula carpaccio (literally everyone who eats meat at the table orders one for themselves lol). You can't go wrong with any of the fish or pasta dishes, they're all good but I consistently go to the anglotti (even though it's shaped like a ravioli) and swordfish if they have it. While it's tempting to stuff yourself save room for the desserts, there's a pistachio ice-cream ball and the sorbets in the fruits that I always order and have never been disappointed. Absolutely delicious. The angel hair with pink sauce is to die for. It's not on the menu but just ask for a trust me you won't regret it. The crowd of people is amazing, you see many wealthy people walking out of these doors. I think this restaurant is what makes Balharbour shops. Again this place is top-notch and probably one of the best restaurants in all Miami for sure top three Italian restaurants in all of Miami. My husband and I were fairly frequent diners at Carpaccio in Bal Harbour, despite it being a little overrated ... from a dining experience and value perspective but as our winter home is in Bal Harbour , it is a popular destination for us and our friends to walk to and we eat there at least once a week and often twice when a group of girlfriends go out for lunch. However, a recent experience with their customer service has turned me off completely and I am determined not go there again. Recently my husband I went there for dinner with two other couples. While we typically split the bill with our dining partners, on this particular outing we were out with friends who did not know each other well. As my husband and I enjoy a cocktail or two, as did one other diner, one of the other couples doesn't drink at all , they asked the server to make separate bills for the 3 couples ... the waiter said he could not accommodate the request so the guest asked for the manager who also said they cannot accommodate this request as their "system is not set up" for this. The conversation that ensued was most unpleasant and the attitude of the manager could be characterized as "snobby" and "dismissive" and it was hard to believe that such an upscale and well established Restauraunt " was not set up" for separate checks. This interaction was very disturbing and I wanted to leave a tthis point but we decided to stay. I was pretty embarrassed to have suggested this Restauraunt to our friends and I was also turned off for future visits ... then I heard something that sealed the deal .... A couple of days later we heard another group of our friends went to Carpaccio and also requested separate bills and their request was accommodated without discussion... I cannot understand this other than to think the manager made a decision not to a accommodate our request based on his prejudiced attitude towards our group... As I said we were frequent diners at Carpaccio but I will not dine there again and am determined to share this experience with as many diners as possible.... read more

The food at Carpaccio is good, not great. For starters, we ordered the fried calamari last night and the fried zucchini was the best part. The calamari sadly tasted too fishy. Out of everything, the ravioli - agnolotti del magnifico - was the best dish of the night. Really tasty and satisfying. The veal piccata was lacking. It was topped with, what tasted like a frozen, vegetable medley and lacked a bit of lemon. I prefer my piccata pretty lemony. The tiramisu was good, but not the best. The dusting of cocoa powder was so heavy, it tickled your throat. It was pretty busy, as usual, and the staff was attentive.
