Our favorite date night for Italian. The amazing service. We arrived early before our reservation and the waitress gave us some cheese and olives and water for waiting. That's definitely love. Once we sat, we immediately got delicious bruschetta and bread on the house. We ordered a bottle of wine and got the calamari for appetizer. Super fresh and came with marinara sauce. The waiter was super friendly and nice. He sold us with the linguini with lobster bisque sauce and chunks of lobster, clams and mussels. Super good. We ended the night with lemon sorbet and an espresso martini. He even gave us some homeade Lemoncello to try. Talk about service. We will be back again as they make us feel like family and they have the best service ever.
Ok this place was really nice I must say and very nice dark inside to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner kinda a bit private but not if you know what I mean. It was full the hole time we where there service was good but I must say we felt like we where treated a bit different from others to be honest they didn't tell us about the salad of the day which was offered to the rest of the table around us and among other things as well. It seemed like they forced them selfs a bit to be nice to us which was weird to be honest don't know they warned us of this but we said let's try it so we did and they didn't lie we felt that for sure. So they need to fix that for sure treat everyone the same equal. But the food was good not the greatest but good. But go try it for your self's though.
We arrived yesterday at Cafe Prima Pasta during Happy Hour unbeknownst to us and were happy about it because our drinks and dinner were at great prices! We loved the the decor which was very Italian and very inviting but still casual enough. We went there early because we were hoping to get a parking spot that was reasonably close by. We have tried several times to eat here but we could never find a parking spot. But we learned that they have valet parking for $15. Now we know and will be back soon because our experience here was fabulous. Our main server was Ricardo, who was a total delight! He knows the menu backwards and forwards. He treated us like royalty and had great menu recommendations. We started out with a glass of Malbec for me and Pinot Grigio TAVO for my daughter. Both wines were good and perfect for our food selections. Ricardo brought us a basket of crusty homemade Italian bread, which was freshly and yummy. I picked the Chicken Parmesan with Penne Noodles. It came with a tasty marinara sauce and I added a goblet of Alfredo sauce also. My daughter chose the Fiocchi Rapera, which was a cheese and pear stuffed pasta, with crispy prosciutto and creamy truffle sauce. It was rich and pleasing. We did a little sharing and both dishes were amazing! For dessert, we shared their very delicious Tiramisu and the Chocolate Mousse pie. We also appreciated Macarena, who assisted Ricardo with bringing us our water and dessert. She was so nice and fun to talk to. Both servers made our evening even more pleasant there. We loved the atmosphere. We enjoyed celebrating our birthday week at this wonderful restaurant. PERFETTO! We will be back soon.
Excellent service (we got "the beast!") and intimate setting with the most delicious and flavorful pasta dishes ever. The truffle oil pear and cheese pasta app was mouthwatering and should not be missed! It was busy but we didn't feel neglected and had excellent service. If you're looking for delicious Italian food in a romantic setting (sit outside, it's quieter) then this is your place. But honestly, the food is so good you should just go for the heck of it!
I celebrated my birthday at Café Prima Pasta with my best friend and my boyfriend -- and it was absolutely perfect. I ordered the Blackened Risotto with Seafood -- rich, creamy, and packed with perfectly cooked seafood. My bff had the Fiocchi Rapera -- little pasta purses filled with pear and cheese in the most dreamy, flavorful sauce. My boyfriend had the classic Chicken Parmesan, and it was everything: cheesy, crispy, and comforting. We also shared the fresh salad and warm bread -- simple but so delicious. The flavors, the presentation, the service -- everything was chef's kiss. For drinks, we had espresso martinis, and they hit just right. The whole night was a 10/10 experience. I felt so celebrated and taken care of. Thank you, Café Prima Pasta, for an unforgettable birthday. I'll definitely be back!

In 2026 I will have been officially dining here for 20 years. Our last visit was 10-26-25 for my sister in laws birthday and we had a lovely experience. The service was top notch and we sat in the red room. It is more quaint and intimate than any other seat and a gem of its own. Although I ordered the usual suspects (seafood over black linguini) which was amazing, it was the bite of their vodka pasta that blew me away. I have known that the food here is consistent and excellent, but I never deviate. The bday queen shared a bite of her dish and WOW!! Pasta was perfectly cooked but the sauce was super underrated. It was perfect in the fact that it was not too tangy, it had a slight sweetness which perfectly balanced the vodka. I'm ready to go back for this dish alone! The good news is that this spot is really for everyone especially the locals because the service hasn't wavered and the prices haven't skyrocketed. Thank you Prima Pasta for being considerate, consistent, and maintaining your brand all these years. Cheers to 20 more!
Another restaurant for Miami Spice! Plans were to go to another Italian spot up further but there was no parking so we ended up here. What an adorable vibe this restaurant has! The decor alone would make you 'fall in love'. Food was absolutely delicious! But what made it more special was our server! She just started & I tell you it felt like she's been there for years! Florensa (not sure about the spelling) 'muchas gracias' por su servicios!
The food was fantastic as was the service. We walked up without reservations but they were able to put us outside in a little corner that honestly felt like a VIP section. It was intimate and we still felt the breeze. The mini fiocchi appetizer was AMAZING. Everything else was stellar as well. Also, our waiter let us know when he handed us the bill that the tip was included, which I always appreciate and means they get extra!

Finally tried Cafe Prima Pasta and can't wait to go back!! It's an unassuming little spot in North Beach that has cozy indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating. We sat in the outdoor area in the evening and it was lovely. I've also heard that Messi has been spotted here! The food was spectacular, everything was delicious! We started with a few appetizers which were perfect to share for 3 people including the Rucula "Gise" salad (a unique twist on the traditional caprese), the carpaccio di manzo, and the antipasto misto. Carpaccio di Manzo is a must-try! For my entree, I ordered the special, which was seafood fettuccine with octopus, lobster, and shrimp. It was creamy and had lots of generous hunks of meat in it. My boyfriend got one of their staples, the Fiocchi Rapera, which was excellent. I would get this when we go back! They have a nice selection of wines too at a variety of prices. Great complement to a nice Italian meal. Our server, Diego, was the best! He was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He also kindly gave us some limoncello shots on the house to top off our meal! This was like a dessert in and of itself, such a lovely and personal touch. He really made our first visit to Prima Pasta special and one to remember. I highly recommend Cafe Prima Pasta if you're in the North Beach area. From what I experienced, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything we got was suburb, and the service and ambiance was top notch too.
Feels like you are transported to an italian joint in the 80's. Authentic environment and food. They start you out with bread basket with butter. Go from 4-6 PM and you have the option of ordering from the super price menu which is an abbreviated normal menu with reduced pricing on everything. Similar to happy hour. Food was incredible, great quality with large portions. Could not have asked for better service as well. You would be hard pressed to find a better italian restaurant in this area. Worth the hype!
Prima pasta is the best Italian restaurant in all of Miami. The food is absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Fiocchi Rapera which comes with crispy prosciutto & a creamy truffle sauce, absolutely delicious. The ambiance in Prima Pasta is also top notch, perfect setting for a romantic date. Service is always excellent.

Back for a fixing of Miami beach glam! The ambiance here is just *chef's kiss* Our reservations this time were at 6PM and we arrived a little early. What we didn't know is that they have a Super Price menu running from 4:30PM-6PM! So we were able to get our order in and take advantage of the specials. Highly recommend going early because the prices are great! We started the evening with a Caesar salad and an order of the meatballs. And the meatballs were to die for!! They were so delicious! The meat had great seasoning throughout and it was a great ratio with the sauce and ricotta. The caesar was also really good with light dressing. For entree we got the agnolotti rosso which was amazing. It was stuffed with spinach and you can tell spinach was fresh. The sauce was absolutely delicious. And the pasta was made of spinach so it enhanced the flavor. We paired off all the food with a bottle of Bonanza cab which was perfect with the food. The whole time the waiters are flying by making sure our plates are clean, and waters filled. We ended the evening with a piece of tiramisu which was perfection. Perfect balance of mascarpone and coffee. I paired that with an espresso martini which was nice and strong. Great way to enjoy the glamour without breaking the bank! read more

Prima Pasta -- A Wonderful Italian Dining Experience Prima Pasta has received many great reviews, and our experience certainly lived up to them. This classic, old-school Italian restaurant was very busy, which is a good indication of how much people enjoy the food and service. The service was excellent, and every meal was very well prepared. The fried calamari were exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Veal Parmesan was a big hit--pounded thin, tender and juicy, with just the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce. The pastas were also excellent. Our table of six sampled three desserts: tiramisu, crème brûlée, and chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse was the only disappointment, but the other desserts were very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Prima Pasta and will gladly return the next time I'm in the area for another great Italian meal. read more

Prima pasta is the best Italian restaurant in all of Miami. The food is absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the Fiocchi Rapera which comes with crispy prosciutto & a creamy truffle sauce, absolutely delicious. Café Prima Pasta has quickly become my favorite Italian restaurant in Miami. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere draws you in -- it's not fancy or overly luxurious, but has a unique rococo-style décor that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small Italian village. This is not my first time visiting this restaurant, and let me tell you, every dish I try is an incredible journey. Our dining experience was outstanding. We started with an octopus carpaccio that was delicate and flavorful, followed by a fresh salmon salad and a perfectly prepared beet salad. For mains, we had the branzino over black risotto and the outstanding pear tortelloni with truffle, both unforgettable. To end on a high note, we enjoyed a creamy pistachio ice cream and a tiramisu that was simply perfect. The service is incredible -- fast, friendly, and highly professional. Prices are very reasonable, and I love that you can bring up to two bottles of wine per table; corkage is $35, which I find very fair given the overall quality of the experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine. read more

While visiting Miami, we had to stop by a favorite dine that we have been frequenting for many years. It was completely packed upon opening at 4:30 and we had a little bit of a wait but we did not mind whatsoever. The atmosphere is awesome and the food was served with a beautiful presentation and was thoroughly enjoyed. Every day, there is an Early Bird Happy Hour Menu with select menu choices being offered with excellent prices. A wonderful experience was had. The only pet peeve would be the lack of personality from our server but other than that a great experience. read more

Prima Pasta is really the complete package, great food, great atmosphere and great service! We had reservations and were seated immediately. Quickly greeted by some complementary bruschetta and a great server in Nick... The zucchini fritti appetizer was delicious as was our dinner entree's... The cocktails were great too. Wow. Returned after 3 years away from prima pasta and still the exact same OUTSTANDING food. Meatballs as an app - 100/10. Red sauce and ricotta are out of this world. For entrees, non-negotiable is fiocci rapera (pear ravioli). I've never had anything like it and it's easily top 10 foods I've EVER eaten. Veal parm is also notably delicious and hits the spot. Service is phenomenal. We said it our was our anniversary when we booked our appointment -- and to our surprise they remembered and brought us complimentary meringues to celebrate. I'm a die hard prima pasta fan and will adamantly support this business as best I can!!! read more
Amazing place! Food, service and ambiance were excellent. As soon as you walk in this place, it gives you a warm, intimate feeling with low lighting - similar to a New York Italian restaurant. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night with reservations and it was a full house, packed with a lot of people! Make sure to make reservations or you will wait a while. Loved the decor with photographs of celebrities on the wall. Service was top tier. Our waiter was excellent! He was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food was AMAZING!! Quality and freshness on point. Salmon Carpaccio: Delicious - light, flavorful and fresh! It was drizzled with lemon and capers. This is great for a light appetizer. Fiocchi Rapera: This was my meal and it is my FAVORITE! I believe it's the house favorite as well. Another light dish, pasta purses are filled with pear and cheese and has a flavorful sauce. It was perfect! Chicken Marsala: My boyfriend had this and he loved it. I tasted it as well, and it was delicious - a classic Chicken Marsala, you can't go wrong with. Ricotta Cheesecake with lemon sorbet on the side: Delicious! I would say this dessert was on the heavier side out all our dishes. We probably could of fared better with a creme brûlée. Nonetheless, the cheesecake was flavorful and decadent! Only con to this place: Parking! Circled the block so many times for street parking as the small public parking lot next to it was full. They have Valet parking at $15 though. After circling the block for 30 min, we finally found street parking nearby. If you live nearby, best bet would be to come in an Uber. Will definitely be back!! read more

What black pepper does the restaurant use? I also tried the limoncello shot that night. It was friend's moms' bday - inspired me to make my own homemade limoncello!!
Hi, We use the natural grain of pepper, and we grind it at the moment of seasoning. Hope this helps.

Yes the restaurant is right next to a very large parking area. Very nice area.

It depends what time you go, although every time I've been there it has been full. You can make reservations through Open Table, or on the website, www.primapasta.com.
