We went to Carpet Depot in Lithonia on Friday around 4pm. The sales rep (Anna) was very patient in assisting us with finding carpet to complete our project and budget. The took my money installed carpet and damaged me wall. then tried to blame me for it before i even explained i had pictures before and after the job. i contacted them the was Fast to come out and slow to correct the problem. at the time i didt want my money back but just correct what they damaged. Emails and phone calls havent been answered. i had to file a police report, Fraud is all i can say... they Robbed me in my home and didnt try to fix it... [No Integrity at This Place] - Do NOT pay them in advance. They will blow you off and lie to you. I was scheduled to be the first delivery and they did not show up until 3:00PM. I called 3 time and each time I was told that I would receive a call back concerning my delivery. The lady that answered the phone when I first called, said that my delivery was between 10am-12PM but she would call me back with an update. Well, 12:30PM rolled around and the installers weren't there. I called 3 times for an update (10:30am/12:30pm/2:00pm) and I received a call-back ZERO times. I requested to speak with the manager/owner Wayne 3 separate times over the course of two days. I was told each time that Wayne would give me a call "when he got back to the office". It has been 4 days and no call from Wayne . No matter what they say, DO NOT pay them in full in advance. On the phone [pre-order], I was told by Chuck to pay half in order to get on the schedule and the other half when they do the work. However, when I came to the store to pay my deposit (Chuck) told me that they needed 100% upfront because "the customers" can be funny/flaky around the holidays. In fact, this was nothing more than a [bait-and-switch] and they were the ones that were "flaky", full of excuses and failed commitments. Starting with Chuck stating that he came in late, which was why the delivery folks didnt come out to my location first... NO.. My assumption is that this place will tell you anything to get all of your money up from and then do whatever they want once they have your money [because at that point, you really cant cancel because they have your money]. I am writing this review because others should know what to be prepared for when they attempt to do business with the Decatur location. I would also like to add, I spoke to Chuck about this same carpet 1 month prior and he said that he would get pricing and get back to me. He never did. My experience with Carpet Depot was amazing. Our project consisted of re-carpeting the family room, flooring for the lower level foyer, hallway, bathroom, kitchen and kitchenette, carpeting the stairs and the second level hall way. First I entered into a contract with Empire and it did not settle in my heart. I read the terrible reviews on yelp as the fact and it confirmed what I was feeling in my spirit. I cancelled the contract the next day and went to Carpet Depot. My rep was Suzette Elders. She first ascertain my needs and living environment. Upon hearing that I had a 100 lb. German Shepherd she made suggestions based on the living conditions. She explained the different types of carpets and flooring with our fur baby in mind. She gave us samplings in various price points. (Something Empire would not do). She was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. After the measurement and selection our price was over $1200 cheaper than Empire and we were getting upgraded material and extra coverage. This is after Empire knocked off $1000 as soon as they heard that I was cancelling the contract. Hmmm Empire was charging me over $2200 extra for lesser material quality and fewer coverage(upstairs). The contractor came as scheduled and was actually early which was a pleasant delight. Suzette made two trips to our home to check on the progress of the project. This was a surprise and she even had interaction with our German Shepherd. The contractors did an outstanding job and we were more than pleased. My wife arose the next morning proclaiming that it felt like a whole new house. I highly recommend Carpet Depot of Decatur and ask for Suzette. Later on as I was telling my brother in law about the experience; I found out Carpet Depot (Suzette) has been providing them service for years. read more

Carpet Depot had installed carpet in our attic room and we were very happy. My elderly mother needed her two bedrooms carpeted, so we called Carpet Depot again. This place has bad business service I purchased a red carpet for my event on Thursday I told them I will have someone pick it up on Saturday, they never once told me that they close early on Saturday at 3:00 pm I would think that I would have gotten a curtesy call telling me that my carpet is ready for pick up but never received any phone call, my boyfriend called them at 2:50 pm the lady told him that they was closed he stressed to her that the carpet was very important for a event she said no there closed but was on the phone, I tried to call the lady my self several times she never picked up, I wanted to see if she could of at least leave the carpet out side or some where that I can just get it, that is extremely disappointing, I ended up having to pay extra money for a paper red carpet from party city smdh, hopefully this review will help someone else. read more

Unfortunately I spilled paint on my carpet. I called a few carpet dealers for a quote. all wanted $ 1000 plus. I drove to carpet depot the lady working there was very friendly and helpful. Best of all I got the stairs done the next day for half the price. Very happy with them. read more
